Bunny hop transition

How do you transition to a silent b-hop without making noise first?
When I b-hop, I first have to press the forward key (which makes sound) to gain enough momentum for my b-hop...

How do pro players prevent that? Is there another technique?

  • You can start backwards first. A quick jog forward and starting is the fastest way. Reid worked with me on starting a silent b hop from a standstill. It is a lot of coordination and work.

    Thanks for your reply!
Could you explain me how a silent b hop from standstill works? I don't think starting backwards first is practical for SnD. :P
  • You can Chinese walk then B-Hop
    Or
you can find some keyboards and mouses that can make you B-Hop by just Clicking ...You Can find them on E-Bay For Very cheap Prices !
  • Start your bhop and then keep flicking left and right until you start gaining momentum

It's better to just start with a backwards bhop though
  • in ghost mode, they could be using Breath Down and Footstep Down so that's how they do it there i think.

But in other modes u just start backwards, while crouched u just jump and even though ur first jump won't be far, after u keep going u will be able to jump farther.

    just practice a bit :)

Suggesting someone cheats is a terrible idea.

While alternating straifs opposite of the mouse movements or was that something else?

am pretty sure that it's not hacking it's called having a Gaming KeyBoard and a Gaming Mouse ...

i once saw a torn.. in CF Ph where the winner get's to have a Gaming Keyboard that makes the same thing that i say !!

Well ofc there are some people that mod the Mouse's files and make weapons that Has No recoil ...Iam Against this ...I know this !! ...this called Cheating And Hacking By Modding the Gaming Accessories ...

Macros are not allowed. And CFPH is another version, different rules.

okay i guess that it's Legit To hack in Crossfire PH :P

and For the 1000th time it isn't a macro it is based on doing the same thing over and over again without pressing all the Buttons and stuff

Other than that yes it is Called Macro !

That's the very definition of macro. It's software that does something for you without any user input. It's cheating, it's bannable, and it's called a macro. Even having a button that quickscopes for you is a macro, and that's only right click, left click. Jumping repeatedly using a single button press is a macro, and it's cheating.

Then why a Server like PH Gave a Torn. Player a Macro KeyBoard that allows him to bunny Hop ?? please Answer !!

I have a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, Razer Naga 2014 (I use it for work only) and a Corsair Scimitar. All are gaming equipment, and all of them CAN have macros. I could set up a bunnyhop macro in about 15 seconds. But I don't because it gives me an unfair advantage (Which is what cheating is).

Also, the use of macros requires third-party software. This means you are using a program to give you an unfair advantage in the game.
It's the same sort of thing (Although to a much lesser extent) as hacking.

You are using a program to do something you shouldn't be able to do.

If you ask a GM they will tell you the same thing. Using mouse/keyboard macros is not allowed.

If you really want to use the extra buttons on your mouse/keyboard, set them like mine. I have the keys on my mouse rebound to other buttons (I used to have one button as reload, and the f5, f6, f7, f8 buttons on my mouse).

A general rule of thumb used by many games is that it's ok to have 1 button press do 1 thing. For example, having the 3 button reload.
If you pressed the 3 button and it jumped 100 times a second until you pressed it again, it's not fair to other players.

Edit: Think about it this way - If your friend had a fancy gaming mouse and software that made him 100% invisible in ghost mode, would you want to play against him if you didn't have one?

Jesus !! I really feel like iam going to hell because of my Reply xD But GJ Now i Know every thing About this Section ...Because of you thanks !!

    Sure, why not?
  • Start a backwards B-hop (I assume you know how to do that, if not go to YT) and when you have one or two hops done, quick turn your mouse and keep hopping facing forward. Total silence.

You can also slightly twist ur B-hop trayectory left or right (slows down a bit) and turn while hopping to kill enemies passing by if well-timed.

And for new GM players (doubt there's any nowadays but still) B-hops are silent for other players but you can always hear your own footsteps as you touch the ground. As long as you remain 'invisible', they can't hear you hop.
  • How you report macro users?
I mean there is no selection for macro! (I'm talking about report tickets)

Well it isn't easy to tell if someone is using an marco.
