Why call is ''elite'' league if they dont want the best teams in it? Q.Q
I really don't understand anything about why we were not invited, to be honest with you.
We were told that we were not accepted because our mentality is not appropriate for the Elite League, and no further clarification has been given. -

They rather have the ''i only play when there is money'' mentality. x) -
I personally don't understand the "mindset" part in this.. there are teams that have been playing and practicing for months to try and get better and don't get invited while you have some teams that don't play half the year or teams that never existed till about two weeks ago get into the elite league.. what?

I don't understand either. I am incredibly disappointed, sad, and confused -
"Teams will not be chosen simply because they are better at playing than other teams. " - Kanadan
Apparently the GMs only want teams they like and not the best of the best. What's the point of a competitive tournament if the best teams do not play, in fact what is the point of a tournament? Is it not to find out who's the best?
I'm sure they will close this thread soon and they wonder why we always post these topics in threads when their ticketing system replies with ambiguous and vague replies that explains nothing. -

Known invited teams:
PENTA Sports (Germany)
Flipsid3 Tactics (Germany)
Playing Ducks (Germany)
Exotic Gaming aka ESC Gaming aka Team Cursive (Portugal)
Radiant Esports (United Kingdom)
Rawness (Egypt)
STDx (USA)
Instinct (USA)
w0wteam (USA)
GOLDX (USA)
Rawness ?! srsly wtf
we beat them so often and so easy...
i hope there gonna be qualifications for the Elite league -
The only explanation ive been able to see that makes sense would be that teams were chosen on a basis of which teams the GMs knew by name(!nstinct, stdx), which teams the GMs or Mods liked or knew, and a mix of other random teams the GMs chose probably to keep a close amount of eu and na teams in.

Hopefully the GMs will clear up why exactly teams were not selected as time goes on. I don't want to jump to any assumptions.x0tek and whoever is on his team is usually (usually) 10x worse in scrims than they are in tournaments so
hehe ecks de
Thanks man -
I think there might be some misunderstandings, so hopefully this can clarify.
The CFCL Elite League is an invitational league, this was announced since the beginning. There was never an indication that if your team met xyz criteria you will have a guaranteed spot. There are no guaranteed spots, and if for some reason this was assumed, then unfortunately this assumption was wrong.
As it was explained, CFCL Open teams will get a chance to advance to the Elite league, either by replacing a team that failed to meet expectations or follow rules, or by expanding the number of teams in the Elite version if it is proven to be needed.
CFCL Elite will start with 12 teams, this means that the spots are limited and unfortunately we cannot accept all teams, which is the case in most top tier leagues in any game.
In selecting teams, we used a combination of criteria to ensure that the league is competitive, diverse, and most importantly professional. In order to do so, we have reviewed the history of the teams in last year's CFCL as well as the potential and what can the team bring to CF in the case of newly formed teams. We are sure that teams that were not selected are not completely satisfied, but as we said the spots were limited.
Elite teams will compete for a big amount of money, they will be publicly known, and they will be eventually representing CrossFire in both online and in any international tournaments opportunities. Therefore skills, professionalism, and discipline all go hand in hand when selecting teams.
We would like to thank all teams who applied but didn't get selected for the Elite league. We would also like to encourage you to continue to play in the Open league, as when an opportunity arises and you have met the criteria above you can be invited to Elite. -
Foremost, thank you for the clarifications Grumpy. I have loved the steps that the GMs have taken toward expanding communication in these last weeks -- it is a much needed paradigm shift. I can't wait to see the improvements you continue to make!
However, regarding my team "getBrikt" (roster Logic, Michaelxv205, Kaiz, Yuki, x0tek, sub: Konrad). I fail to see how we did not meet any of the aforementioned criteria, and remain confused.
Three of us have hosted competitive leagues in the past, or worked for competitive leagues. All have been ran smoothly, professionally, and successfully. Two of us currently run leagues, EGL ran by Michaelxv, and NACL ran by myself, and each runs very smoothly with large turnouts from the community.
Four of our five players were in the Professional League last season, with 2 of us placing 2nd and 3rd in the National Finals. Those same two players have each won international trips.
We are currently the second-best team in North America, by a sizeable margin. Additionally, over the last 4 months, we have been the only team out of all of the North American teams invited to consistently, actively, practice. All other teams have only recently returned, or are completely new to the game.
So, when we hear criteria such as "discipline" and "professionalism", we are -- I believe understandably -- confused when we are not selected.
Edit: For the record, I understand that you are doing the best you all can with the data at hand. I simply am looking for clarity and explanations, so my team can avoid situations such as this in the future -

GMs clearly are more involved than I previously thought. I keep up with all competitive events, players, and news and cant tell you which players/teams are more professional or disciplined than others. Half of the teams have little contact outside of the game. Even less on the forums. As far as I can tell this was a poorly and slightly random decision or there are GMs with personal knowledge of each comp player far beyond this game.

Hence why I am so confused. I can respect any decision they make; ultimately, it's their league and how they choose to run it is their choice. I simply wish to understand, so I can correct whatever problems clearly arose. -
Hold on ... So you are respecting their decision yet you want answers? You literally just contradicted yourself. You don't need anything from them and even you said it yourself, it's their league. You need to sit down and worry about your open league and stop making excuses because you're not an elite player.
He is 100% an elite level player -
Nice league we got here when a team that hasn't even been palying crossfire for longer then (30) Days gets into an " ELITE " league over players that have been grinding for months/years LOL

No, that's not how it went down at all. ZZXQ is a friend of mine in real life. He casts local CS LANs that I host. Whenever CFCL was announced, he reached out to me and asked if I could make a team. I did and applied for CFCL. We were accepted. That's all there is too it. Drew is just an idiot sometimes. -

As far as I know, ZZXQ did not promise any team a slot, though he did bring GoldX to the game.
There may have been a miscommunication, but I trust both GoldX and ZZXQ. -
ok but why would someone who at time of that video has been playing for 8 days say that it just dont make sense to say what he said if it wasnt said to him
It was a miscommunication with everybody we did not get promised a slot we just applied like everybody else. Stop making stuff up please and ty
