  • Also he quoted from his rules "If a team needs a stand-in, players may be selected from currently engaged teams." Yes the players play in the tournament but on their main accounts meaning, engaged in a match on a alternate account aside from your main is smurfing that account you played on and konrad played on are not registered to any roster.

Wait you actually have a point! [Tsunami] is not registered on any team and therefore not engaged in the tournament. You just busted yourself man with your own new rule.
  • One standard I would like to set with NACL is an open dialogue with players and the community when issues arise in matches. That is something that, historically, leagues in CrossFire have not done. So, I will make an effort to address each point made.
What was your reasoning if you were not trying to hide anything?

I have streamed multiple times on Tsunami, and use it as a for-fun account. There was no reason to use it or not use it. I have never preferred my matches to be live-streamed from my perspective, and have always requested that my teammates and players not stream live matches -- you know this. It is a personal choice of mine.

That said, that reason alone is not entirely all. I knew that controversy would likely be caused given I was playing in the event, as the community was unaware that this had been done for teams before, and wanted to mitigate that.

A mistake was made in allowing Konrad to play on an alternate account without saying anything; his main account had ran out of armor. NACL has let multiple teams and players play on alternative accounts throughout this League on a case-by-case basis, but I was personally involved I should have had one of the other administrators publicly state the situation to avoid confusion and controversy. I both hear and understand that criticism.

Idk man, you're just seeming like a dishonest person

I understand that you're trying to attack me on behalf of Ayrin, but as stated before, I messaged KOWAI before anyone posted on this thread.

With that being said you should be DQ'd and if konrad was also using an alternate account he should as well.

In other NACL games where teams have approved alternate accounts with the administrators prior to playing, no players were disqualified from the matches and the results were not overturned.

As rosters lock this Saturday, this situation will no longer arise in this event. However, given the community response, new rules will be implemented preventing similar situations in the future.

    TL;DR

    1. Teams have been allowed to do this in other NACL matches, with prior administrator approval
    a. Because rosters are unlocked, so it saves players the time to submit roster changes right before their match.
    2. Those teams were not disqualified, and the matches stood.
    3. GOLDX players will not be disqualified, and the matches will stand.
    4. Given the community response, rules will be implemented in future events preventing this situation in the future.

I can guarantee 99% of this community didn't know that you are [tsunami], and like I mentioned, that has no influence on whether or not it's considered smurfing

Clearly this is because you don't want teams to be able to analyze how your team plays, which obviously doesn't apply to the complete mix team that GoldX was in the match. But I'll give it to you anyway

Would you mind sharing what players smurfed so far in this league, and for what team they did it with?

I'm no expert in Spanish, but that 100% sounds like you messaged him well after the match had already been played and likely well after people had posted on this thread (which would make sense, given that you cropped out the timestamp). And regardless, that doesn't justify you smurfing at all, lol. Also, in your pm you said that you messaged arcadox and told him that you were tsunami, however he wasn't able to play in the match. Very convenient. But fact of the matter is that the players in the match didn't know you were smurfing, and that just makes it worse

And my intent isn't to "get back at you" for insulting Jordan. I'm just posting because, regardless of whether or not you claim that smurfing is against this tournament's rules, it's a completely unethical and dishonest thing to do.

But I g2g, have fun my friend

Can you please think before you type?

The video from earlier and your next sentence says otherwise.

You knew smurfing has never been allowed when the player(s) are already on a team in the same event but since you're the admin you did it anyway, got caught, and are now trying to cover your own ass by acting ignorant and typing paragraphs basically saying you're the admin and you'll do whatever you want.
  • Damn 2 long time CF players showing the newcomers that its ok to cheat! Great role models(ZZXQ and x0tek)!
P.S. I'm disappointed in ZZ. Can't believe a z8games employee/mod would allow this to happen and actively participate in the smurfing. I call for an action to have x0tek and Konrad to be removed from the league. If not must be nepotism since y'know x0tek is the ONLY admin.

I dont understand your issue with me. I showed up to play for GOLD X since they are my friends and needed me to sub in.
I also asked numerous times if we were allowed to play the match with them and not break any tournament rules, and I was assured it was not against any of the rules.
As for x0tek and Konrad playing with us, I can understand why some would say its unfair since it is playing for multiple teams.
I honestly wouldnt have any problem with Kowai being given the win 10-0 10-0, due to us using 2 players from another roster.
The match to Gold X and I was mainly for the experience of playing against a world class team such as Kowai, the results were not of concern.
x0tek and Konrad only stepped in because we felt the experience of Gold X playing a world class team in a tournament environment would be a good learning tool for Gold X, which it was.

Results aside, in all fairness there isn't any issue in giving Kowai the win on both maps if thats what the rules imply should happen here.

As for any action beyond that, its not my event, so I cant really decide what should happen as a result of the match being overturned if it is (If it is a blatant rule break, even as an admin though I would hope there is an acceptable action taken, hence why admins in my eyes should never play their own events).

I was just being a stand in for Gold X who asked me to play 2 hours before the match, for an event I never intended to play. I would bare in mind before you get overly critical of Konrad and x0tek that the sole purpose of anyone outside of Gold X playing was for them to gain exposure to a high level team, not to grab a win.

Thread will be closed since it has derailed from a match communication thread.
