error

From what I heard, the Issue lies not with CrossFire, but with your ISP which has been putting up some restrictions that conflict with CF.
Probably not something that can be fixed on CFs end. -

Well, a VPN simply circumvents the restrictions that were put up by your ISP, and therefore in theory would let you connect to CrossFire normally. But as you've said, it IS banable, so it's not a course you can or should follow.
As long as your ISP is not budging on what it is they are restricting, odds are, you and a lot of other Egyptians will be stuck with that Issue for quite some time to come. -

If it was all of Egypt I guess not that many Egyptians play. I mean are the servers emptier than usual? Are there a crap load of threads being spammed? Alrighty. Let's look at the issue.
So you say cf works through a vpn? Which obviously you shouldn't use your main because vpn's are not supported and could result in a ban... But for diagnostic sakes good to know.
For the others who are not having issues do you use the same provider? (thought there was just one??)
Same region?
Morw details would help. -
why don't u share what internet provider you use so they can switch to it instead of saying the same thing again
+1
@GeneralZezo2: Can you tell us what's your ISP? because i'm using Orange DSL and tried Vodafone and still getting errors. -

This is from a older thread (same page as this one) about the same issue, I originally suggested this and I got an actual response from one of themNot all egys have this issue and if you, egys, want to fix it the fastest fix imo at this point would be to ask your fellow egys who do not get disconnected, what ISP (internet service provider) they have and simply switch to that one.MidoIsLegend wrote: »It's not as simple as that!
For a while I believed in that thought, but then found I was totally wrong
I sometimes disconnect like everyone else at the beginning of the game, but there are these times when everything goes well and I never disconnect even when all are disconnecting around
Yesterday, I was disconnecting as usual, but today, everything is just fine tho I didn't switch my ISP nor did anything else.
I can't find an explanation for what's going on -

Which company provides you with internet services? When you pay internet related bills, which company gets the money? If they (your ISP) gave you their router, maybe you have a sticker on it with ISP's logo. -

This has worked for some people.
Open Ports Windows Firewall
- Name: Crossfire – Port: 13008 – Protocol: TCP
- Name: Crossfire – Port: 13008 – Protocol: UDP
Windows 8 guide and Windows 7 same. Enter Taskbar Windows 7 or 8 "windows firewall with advanced security" click it and follow the guide below
https://portforward.com/networking/static-win7.htm
*First Entry make
Crossfire and Port 13008 TCP
*Second entry
Crossfire 13008 UDP.
You might want to try Port Forwarding if your have A Router. You would need to find the make of yours, some are the same and straightforward to set up. Link below to find your router. If you access your Router and find Port forwarding on it do the above detail in your Router as well.
https://portforward.com/router.htm
Temporary Fix and remember it does not always work and might not work for some people, but worth a try.
Hold down the Windows key and press R. (This will open the Run dialogue.)
Type cmd and press Enter. (This will open a command prompt.)
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Turn off your Modem/Router and wait 5 minutes
Turn your Modem/Router back on, wait until it booted completely
Back on your PC, type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Reboot your computer.
Do note "Failed to connect and MM Server" sometimes affect us all and does not mean it's always from your side, example today I got "Failed to connect" servers where down. The above should fix some issues, might be temporary and you might have a bigger issue with your ISP. However yesterday UK1 was causing Mm server and Failed to connect for my self. -

The GM's have checked this multiple times and if I remember correctly this error has not much to do with them. I think it's more on your end. Which means your Internet connection is unstable therefore you getting this errors. Now what you can do is try to improve your Internet connection. Other that there isn't really much you can do. I know the GM's are still checking and trying to help to fix this issue so stay calm for now.
