What to do when bug-banned?
I heard a scary story a while ago.
A certain friend of mine (no names mentioned) got permanently banned while spinning crates.
When he sent a ticket to ask the GM's why he got banned.
They said he was hacking and that it was their last decision.
Then there was also another thing i heard from awhile ago that everyone who used Windows XP got permanently banned because of a bug or cf not supporting it anymore or something.
So the question is: what do we do if such a thing ever happends?
i mean, the bug seems like it will probably tell the GM's that the person in question was hacking, and so needs to get permanently banned.
And many people are unwilling to create a new account and start all over again, especially if they spent alot of money and effort in this game.

Some people get disconnected from the game and get perm ban for no reason. Friend of mine came back from being inactive, disconnected and got perm banned right after. Z8 said it was for hacking.
Really not much you can do even though you didn't hack.
It's exactly this that i'm talking about.
I would go on a little rage session if this happend to me. -

I was using Windows XP but I didn't get any ban, instead I got something different, That XIGNCODE 3 always gives me an error message saying "scan your computer" but when I use Windows 7 the game works without any problems but with low FPS.
Every thing was working correctly before the last patch. I hope they will do something instead of: "Due to the discontinuation of support for Windows XP by Microsoft, Z8Games is no longer able to provide technical support for users who run CrossFire on Windows XP." -
When someone sends in a ticket about their own banned account, from said account, it is always investigated. If you are told that you have been banned, there is a reason and it has been verified. As mentioned, there was indeed an issue in 2014 that banned multiple users mistakenly. Those users were unblocked afterwards and everything was set right. However, that is no longer an issue. Regarding XP, sadly we simply no longer support XP, because it is now ancient.

But a friend of mine got back from inactive and got permanently banned. The way she got banned was the same way some people said here on the forum. Get a random DC, log back in, perm ban. -

She did send a ticket. The reply was that it was Hacking/Illegal Program.
I find a bit weird that some people got banned all the same way. That's why when I get DC, my hearts starts beating like there was no tomorrow, scared same thing will happen to me, lol. -

I'm not calling your friend a liar, but how can you be 100% sure they weren't hacking or had files altered? -

I feel like CFs hacking policy is too strict.
For example if you get keylogged, I bet you that CF would ban you even though it's not really your fault that the program is running.
There's so many programs that could be identified as malicious by the antivirus, but in reality do nothing wrong. -
well I think it's better to start CF after closing each and every unnecessary program.
Don't play background music, Don't use Mumble/TS, Don't change kill marks or sound files. I think this might be the safest way to play this game.
On the other end, I want support center to get improve. There must be an appeal system in order to give the players who get banned either permanently or temporarily a chance to prove their innocency. It is not right to ban players out of the blue and leave them with no option.
On top of that hackers should be permanently banned through the reporting system. Is XIGNCODE banning players permanently? It doesn't sound right to me. Support Staff should now have to start watching god damn replays and ban the hackers permanently. If XIGNCODE is handing out permanent bans then what is the use of this reporting system?
Kindly improve Support Center. -

Sending a ticket is your appeal. If you send one and you're told you've been banned for a reason, that appeal has been denied. And they do watch replays.
Also, I can guarantee X-Trap is not banning anyone, as we no longer use X-Trap. -

lol I mean XIGNCODE .
It is a common knowledge that "Once someone gets permanently banned in CF, He/She cannot undo it". I have never heard of anyone who got his account back after getting a permanent ban. You guys are doing a great job. I am just suggesting that it would be nice if you add an appeal option for the players who get banned. -
There's apparently one way with which you can get unbanned I think. It is being active on forums, posting in every thread possible, trying to be friendly to others, making yourself known to everybody, making friends with active forumers, spending lots of money, showing off all your spendings, and maintaining good relationships with mods and GMs.
I remember a guy had lost his HS ribbon, and he is apparently one of the guys who own good amount weapons. So he kept making thread upon threads begging GMs to return his HSR, but the GMs denied any help. Then many forum members started spamming threads about returning his HSR, the GMs restored his HSR back, and he lived happily ever after. -

Oh, so that's what happend, i thought those people were gone for good lol xd
But is there a way now to be able to prove your innocence if you get banned out of nowhere?
Because i belive this is a gamebreaking bug if it's still there.
If these people that got banned for no reason stop playing the game, then they're probably gonna spread word about it.
resulting in less and less potential new players trying this game.
(thx for the reply ) -

What about my 2-3 bans from a couple years ago caused by BlueStacks?
That program is basically an android simulator and it was the only program I could find that I had opened that was getting me banned. My alt account got perm banned for idk why, and then a few years later when I was cleaning my computer, I found the login info to it.
And for some reason I was able to login on it, and the HSR was back... -
