  • A decent PUG vent/mumble/etc would be nice again. I know there were a couple semi-decent ones back in the day. Just something to keep players interested in long down times.

    I agree. Definitely would help

I mean I know it's not events with prizes every weekend, but it would at least provide SOME activity for players to hang around and practice/scrim/mess around.

would you be able to host the PUG (vent/mumblr/ect)??
  • I will honestly say that running events for CF NA was kind of a nightmare, to say the least. Now obviously that was a big part my fault for not running things correctly at ESG, but at the same time the community didn't make it easy. Many (not all) players were competitive to the point that they were willing to do almost anything but simply play the match to win the game. The maturity of players needs to change for the better. I understand competitive nature will always be around, but players practically combing the rules for ways to manipulate a technicality in order to win a match is not anything a league organizer wants to experience. Purposely not reporting an opponent for an item violation because the other team knows more rounds will be lost --- happened all the time. Just play the game. Take the wins with the losses. Things got way too out of hand during many of the competitions here and it got to the point where everyone looked like a bunch of 8 year-old children arguing over toys in a sand box (myself and others included because it got so out of hand admittedly). The cheating stuff is always a nightmare. Without a reliable anti-cheat, it's just crying and more crying and more crying. There actually could be people cheating. Again, anything to win besides just playing the game like a decent person lol.

I would be more inclined to try and run events again if things could improve on that front. I'm sure others would too.

    that is understandable

  • Z8/smilegate should host more consistent leagues and tournament's if they want the NA scene to grow. The dream would be that a service like cevo/ESEA and CF integrate, but that's impossible.

Now that i think about it, cheating probably kills the scene more than anything. A real anti cheat would be great, but apparently developers do not have all the access they need from smilegate to really build it.

Happy to see CFCL is coming back tho, csgo and rust are getting stale.
