Suggested forum event : GOLDEN FORUMERS
So since the weekly forumers room S2 is soon coming to the end of it's season and i don't know if they will continue or not.
I thought of a suggested event which i like to call Golden Forumers
How about we choose a day where we make a room with a pw.
And the only guns that are allowed are golden weapons (Primary or Secondary must have 'gold' or 'golden' in their name) except for the melee and thrown weapons.
And we do 5 games Search & Destroy (or any other mode that's possible) on any map and in the end (if possible) we take a group photo.
The thing is though. There will be no prizes like zp raffles or GM crates. And it's just a gathering for fun

I don't have a close relation with the GM's so i don't know if they would be willing to sponsor these rooms like they did with the forumer rooms
by giving 1 random crate for ACE and such, so that's that :d
Im saying this as a suggestion, an idea, if there are enough people that show up and this event DOES gets started then that would be great.
If there's anyone who's willing to be a host for this kind of event then that would be even greater. otherwise i'll do it myself :P
so all in all, it's just a gathering of golden weapon owners/forumers.
what do you guys think? :P
EDIT: here are all the currently available gold guns that are for free:
the minimi-gold comes back quite alot of times doesn't it? xd
note : the weapons available through gold boxes are: Ak47 Knife Ultimate-Gold, M14 Ultimate-Gold, JackHammer Ultimate-Gold, Bizon PP19 Ultimate-Gold and the Shovel Ultimate-Gold
note: If you don't have this Blueprint Book, u can get it by playing Battleship ZM2.
note: After clearing 1 game of any zm2 map, then u can exchange blueprints for coins, which you can also get by playing ZM2
note: After exchanging the blueprint, u have to combine it with gold coins from which the prize varies depending on the blueprint.
Keep in mind that this is only a suggestion/idea.
I'm only gonna go through with it if it's do-able.
If not i'll change the rules and add in silver as well.

It certainly sounds like a neat idea, but what about the Forumers who happen to not own a Gold Weapon? It probably would be quite the low chance of happening, but the odds are there.
I'd personally vote on a more... open weapon choice, as in, having golden stuff would be appreciated, but if you can't, Silver would be fine aswell, and if you still can't cover those requirements, use what you feel like.

in that case, i can also make an exception and make it BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD weapons. i think with silver guns in there it should increase the odds by alot as u can get alot of temporary silver too.
but i feel it has to be either one of those 3, so it fits the theme a bit. Otherwise it would be almost no different from a normal snd xdMake a room where everyone has to play with TMP.

Doing mini--games would be nice after we've done the normal games
But the thing is i that i fear some people won't coöperate or not listen.
I also don't like ordering or forcing people around but if it CAN be done then it WILL be done

Yeh there are quite a few ways to get your hands on a golden gun.
Zombie mode is one of the easiest ways to get some.
Tomorrow i'll go around doing some intel gathering and taking screenshots of multiple ways to get them,
So that people who dont have any gold guns can easily get their hands on any.
But if there still are people who don't have any then i can also make add other skins. -

If you're willing to do that then it will be very appreciated, but keep in mind that it's optional, and not something you MUST do. I'm not forcing you xD
Btw, if you're gonna sponsor some, then are you also willing to be a host? -

There actually used to be an event like this back in 2009-10 where the GM's hosted rooms and everyone had to use gold guns only which were a lot of fun. This was back when having a gold gun was a lot harder to come by (100 coupons was the only way), but now-a-days getting something gold is super easy. Play a few ZM games, open a gold crate, etc.
+1 for the idea but we won't have a room big enough to fit all the people who would be eligible to play lol -

I was a newb too but it was a lot of fun and the prizes were awful (1 crate only for the top scorer on each side), but it was just so much fun to participate. It's just a shame that they only hosted 3 of these over the years. I think the last one was right after the gold AWM came out. -

Well, this is what i'm gonna do.
Im gonna wait till the next update to see what's new and stuff, and after a few days i'll choose a day (most likely during the weekends) to do a test run.
What im planning to do with this is:
- see how many people have golden guns
- see how many people can come
- see if it works in it's entirety
from this i can change the rules if something doesn't work.
If i can get good results from the test room.
Then i'll try doing them 2-3 times a month.
I'll make a new thread on the 'event' section where i'll give the neccesary information and rules.
With the new thread i'll also be able to see how many people wanna participate in it.
So look forward to that! -
