Miss the old coupon guns

In the real world you get what you pay for...who the hell wants to pay $200+ dollars, lose in EVERY SINGLE CRATE (luck my ASS), and then get the option for a junky 30day weapon...it took you AGES to work for that money, an now it's gone in 30 days.
Sounds like someone is bitter they haven't had the best of luck in the Black Market. I won the AWM-Red Dragon in 10 crates, the M4A1-Custom in 300. It's the draw of the system. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. There is no conspiracy on how they run the Black Market. No one ever forced you to even play the Black Market. So be happy you received anything in return. Being bitter about something YOU chose to participate in, all the while understanding the risks of the system = logic. In my store we sell extended warranty plans for items...they typically only have 1 year of some crappy limited warranty that says that if it breaks because of [X] then they can't get it fixed or what not...what our company does is say "screw all that, if it breaks after their crappy warranty expires we'll refund you the entire amount on a giftcard so you can buy a new (and usually updated) one".
Z8's version of what my store does is like saying "we'll give you a bottle of milk that's amount to expire in 30 seconds...drink it while you can. Oh, and you'll have to spend another $9000 to get another one. Have a nice ****** day..."
I'm sure your one store does no where NEAR the volume of business nor has anywhere NEAR the amount of "customers" that Z8Games/G4Box has for Cross Fire. If we applied what your store does to Crossfire's business model, they would go bankrupt. You can't compare what your store does, which isn't even in the realm of a F2P market. Clearly you don't have as much of a grasp on how this works as you seem to think you have.
The very fact that you related two completely different markets and ascertained what CF does seems unfair is completely mind-boggling. Saidin hit it home, well done. -
Saidin, what you say makes sense, but that doesn't mean people will stop making threads about the old coupon weapons. And why should they?
There's nothing wrong with that. Although our answer doesn't change, we will post it when we can.
My post was in a response to another user in this thread who continues to provide false information/statements/assumptions. Where and When possible we try to add the actual insights with the real reasons for what is going on. -

In theory it does in reality it just doesn't work for a lot of people.
Saidin is basically saying "we want money" and many people including myself are saying and doing the following "your not getting any for temp guns thx".
Ofc it's a business and it requires money but giving people expiring virtual goods is not the way to go as many are spending less.
I mean I have a lot of guns and do try to win more, but in reality the chances are winning are very slim and the end result is temp guns, why would I even bother if I already have guns? This was saidin's main argument for temp weapons. -

Heck, even a freemium (industry buzz word everyone!) game like Cross Fire has a different economic model than say. Call of Duty.
Now that I've added this disclaimer lets see if I can relate a made-up model for a corner store into what it's like for CF.Your store, which sells milk sells a magical bottle of milk that never runs out.I really think this ridiculous point has been made. We have permanent weapons in the coupon exchange. The price of these things doesn't matter if the philosophy (and data) shows that once a person has a permanent weapon of a certain type they are less likely to get another permanent weapon.
You go to the store and buy this magical bottle of milk. The price really doesn't matter.
You now never have to go to the store again to buy milk.
The store does amazing business in the first month because everyone wants magical bottles of milk. But once the population of the city all has bottles of milk the store now can only serve brand new customers. The returning population already has milk and doesn't need it.
In fact this returning population who has unlimited milk loves unlimited milk so much that they don't really need magical orange juice.
A few customers love the fact that this store sells magical apple juice, and they may want to get that as well. But pretty soon their fridge is full and again they really don't need to go to the store.
To solve this two things can be attempted, and I use that word because of the fluid nature of the new system and of our constant update process. One is to introduce temporary weapons, this gives users options at all times to try new things. The other is to actually put new weapons in there from time to time. New content gives people different choices, and temporary content allows those people to try more choices more often.
Considering this is all bonus items for purchasing crates, and by purchasing crates you're already exposing yourself to a ton of variety of weapons; this system is moving the game in a more positive direction over a longer period of time.
The TL : DR version of this all is that more variety is better whether it is temporary or permanent. We still have some top level permanent weapons that are not changing, but some of the lower tiers now give more variety options to more players to try new things.
We deff have the best Crossfire imo, But it would be nice to see us set the bar for all versions of CF. After the 60 coupon mark I would love to see nothing but perm guns, Outrageous for this era of our CF I know. We all miss the perm axe, But tbh it is a item everyone wins for spinning creates. So not really worth it anymore. But the odd items like the psg-rd, m4-cry, and the perm awm-c are dearly missed. I love basic guns, With a touch of flavor. Adding more M4's with nice skins (not upgraded, just the norm m4 with the same ammo count and no scope no silence... just a sick skin such as the old m4-xmas.) would be nice to see. Or a skinned knife. In our CF we seem to be more league play than most, so keeping our basic 3 guns(ak, m4, awm) + deag just re skinned would be nice. Nothing that makes them "op" just something to look at from time to time would be nice... And yes I'd brake my bank each payday for those guns, Just an idea to add to the coupon guns, or even BP guns.
We most deff should have some more BP guns as well, Very huge for us. A lot of us have just too much BP and want to spend it on nice things, not temp things. For the ones who drop 20 bucks and think thats "doing it big" is cute. But for us who can drop 200, 300, 400 and not think a thing of it, we would like more items that are worth the money we spend to keep our servers, and your pockets fat. Just an idea. -
Fell lucky having those perm coupon guns. I remember in russian crossfire version there were NO permanent coupon weapons at all, and for 100 coupons you can get 30 days awm-stripe. Or 7-days knife-stripe for 90 couons (omg) (BTW: There still no GP crates). Feel the difference, z8 isnt as greedy as you talk
-
I think im not the only one who miss the old cuppon guns, now most of them are 30 or 90 day guns, this really sucks, and the new guns are not cool, like ruger bisley, or remmington. Im not rich so i cant get all the coupons i want, i was almost reaching 50 coupons, very happy because I would switch them for permanent axe, and then, they change it for remmington and rx4 storm ¬¬
( I will not even talk about the increase of 20 coupons for m4 custom)
Great you can enjoy the new ones!
Except for the permnent AXE. -
The only disappointment I find with the new weapons is that they're only available for a temporary duration. For example the M16A4 is an incredible weapon in this game, but sadly it's only 90 day temp in the coupons. I'd be willing to spend 70 or even 80 more coupons to get it for a permanent duration.
As has been said several times I'm sure, Saidin has already clearly stated that the last two tiers will be remaining as permanent duration weapons and the coupon system is a bonus and by no means is required to provide you with a permanent weapon. -

It depends, how you feel about it I suppose.
This is how I see it with crates (and I wouldn't buy anything else except the odd item).
Mainly you get temp versions of guns:
That suck.
That you already have.
Or have no real value or use.
And get sprays and namecards.
And a small amount of GP
You get temp weapons with the coupons.
So I am basically giving away money and getting nothing in return - Just bad stuff that expires.
It doesn't have to be that way at all, I mean the stuff z8 gives you is virtual and has no real world value so they could at least make it worth while if your lacing their pockets even if that means coupon guns. -

does that store also get millions of customers?, and what happend to that store when another store(you know what i mean) offers better items for cheaper prices and longer duration? -
Same. I only bought ZP for B.M. I only used B.M for coupons and the slight chance of getting a good gun. I only wanted coupons for the axe. I was at 46 coupons when they changed it.
While Saiden once told me that it didn't matter because you shouldn't be after the coupons and that they're bonuses, and that it would be a flaw in design... I'm not going to gamble all my odds, I know the odds are slim and people have spent thousands on this game. Maybe there is a flaw in design here, or maybe I'm just not as addicted to gambling as everyone hopes...
Either way, that was my reasonable goal for getting ZP. The axe, and now that they've removed it, I could blow a few thousand dollars and get a few guns, or I couldn't. There just isn't a point for me to buy ZP anymore...
I did get the D.E camo today and I'm very happy about that, but that was just me taking a shot in the dark. Just because I took a shot in the dark and made it, doesn't mean I'm good enough to take 900 shots in the dark.
