It's always been banned in Ghost Mode Scrims, pugs, clan wars and past tournies. it'd be nice to keep it that way.
bump
Please reconsider this cause armor changes the whole game and forces people to use guns they're not used to just to cope with it.
It pretty much ruins the competitive side of things -

We registered in the Tourney the first time at the 02nd of March as team banned: http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?323930-March-of-the-Ghosts-Tournament-March-1st-March-31st/page5
We edited the team to team clutch and throw out 2 Accounts that didnt have the honorful ribbon at the 3rd of March: http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?323930-March-of-the-Ghosts-Tournament-March-1st-March-31st/page7
In Comparison the team Black Dunes signed up at the 11. March and edited their team as well - So this cant be the reason.
We did know about the problem who first come first serve and this cant be a logical reason to DQ us of course.
I noticed your team got re-edited after the deadline and before you had players without the honorable ribbon. So the DQ might come from these players, a "late" registration because of the edit after the deadline.or the fact that your team roster got posted several times.
Like my teammate said 5 of 6 of the new team have the honor ribbon. So there shouldnt be any problem here.
The 6th account is from 2010 - 7 years old! And your rule is "longer then 2 years without hack!" First of all how should i know as teamleader or teammember that he lost the ribbon within the 2 last years (if he even lost it in this past time). "You have to know your friends better? - really?
It's not the organization's role to "select" the players who meet the requirements in your team and look whether you have enough afterwards. If you saw that a member of your team doesn't have the HSR, the first thing you should have done was ask him when the last time he hacked was (not necessarily when he lost his ribbon) and explain that it's useless to lie to you since the team would get disqualified. If he doesn't know, you should have stay on the safe side.
To the player(s) saying that the 2-year hack-free account rule is useless because of the recording rule, there are more teams than spots and participating in such a tournament is an opportunity. One not everyone deserves. -

which is not after the deadline i see??
you can still edit the team at the date of 12th ^^
well as you see i cleaned my team before the deadline eh? at the date of 12th which was the last date of registeration
http://imgur.com/a/An2X0
and added players which are fully qualified at the competitive thread
all that was before the deadline .. so i guess there is a mistake? and things got messed up! -
We have reviewed all teams up to this point. If your team was not on the bracket list that was temporarily posted (and removed shortly after, I might add) then either your team was disqualified, or there was simply not enough room on a first-com first-serve basis. Will we tell you which of your team members have a hacking history more recent than 2 years if this is the case? No. Because we do not tell people about accounts they do not own. This has always been and always will be protocol. I will also add that just because someone has their Honorable Soldier ribbon does not mean they are free from a hack history. There have been times where people have been caught and the system did not remove their ribbon correctly.
The rules were chosen after lengthy discussion amongst the GM's involved in this tournament. To the players complaining that armor is allowed, I would ask you to look to the CFCL, where we literally gave out armor to people who were playing each weekend. It does not ruin the competitive side of things. All of our choices in this have been weighed and measured, although we do thank you for your feedback. Ultimately regarding the rules you have two choices: Play according to them, or do not play. Nobody is forcing you to do either, but you must choose one of the two.
To the player who said X-Trap isn't working because he was hit by an airstrike, I will remind you that we don't have air-combat at all, and no hack tool is going to be able to insert whole new modes into our game. That being said, I agree that X-Trap isn't working. Because we replaced X-Trap a while back with Xigncode, as you've all noticed.
As Triton mentioned, there is simply no room for debate on this. If you so wish to participate in the tournament and future ones similar, and conduct yourself like proper competitive players, I would highly suggest that you begin doing so by selecting the way you all word your posts very carefully from here on out. -

I agree with this, but would be great for future tournaments to be stated before hand in the OP and rule if one is DQ during registration, the whole team is DQ. To avoid such question and misunderstanding as some players had recently. Advice for next tournaments or similar events.
What might seem logical to some, others are not so quick to understand, unless noted in writing. Good luck guys -

even when i ask my team mate to send a ticket asking if he is qualified he get ignored .. nice -

The bracket will be posted today. If your team is not on it, then no, you will not be allowed to play in this tournament. -

Damn mate.. you got dqd.. get it in your brain and stop complaining! its OVER for you and your team. You had about 10 days to get 6 peoples with HSR. You changed your teams 3 times and you always put in peoples without the HSR. (i checked your posts) -

people without HSR? mate read carefully
5 of us have the honorable thing
only 1 doesnt ..
and well i edit my team cuz i found out i some were busy and cant play and the others no HSR thats why i edit the team multiple times -
MedicalHammy wrote: »even when i ask my team mate to send a ticket asking if he is qualified he get ignored .. nice
Ticket will not be ignored but are placed in waiting or queue, but answer is final and won't get answer who was not legit. To much ticket spam will place your tickets or friends in a longer queue. Just let it go, you will get another chance in the future. -

I said you reedited after the deadline because you posted 2 different rosters on this thread, on the 23rd : http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?323930-March-of-the-Ghosts-Tournament-March-1st-March-31st/page16
Mods aren't involved in the team selection and verification, I was just pointing out that your spamming might have been the reason your team got disqualified.
Anyways, Kanadian said there's no discussion, so there won't be. -

and this one guy maybe lost his HSR the last 2 years? Maybe he's lied to you? Just think about... it's bad for you ofc but ehh... its still a video game -

I don't see the relevance of CFCL in this argument consider this is a completely different mode.
In SnD, majority of the players are used to using an AK which shoots through armor so the effect of armor is nonexistent.
In Ghost Mode you're shooting at a player who is bunnyhopping at full speed and with this game's subpar hit-reg system, it's already hard to do damage. When you add armor on top of that it's overkill.
But since you say there's no room for debate and you're not willing to listen to players who've actually played the mode competitively for 5+ years, the other teams and I decided amongst ourselves that we just won't use armor when we face each other.
But keep this in mind for the future. -

Note that you can use an ak 47 silencer wich is like the normal ak 47 -

Why does it matter if you have hacked in the past? If we are recording. Like you guys said "moss has been bypassed" so you guys are making us record, so please tell me how can we bypass that.

[GM]Kanadian wrote: »Because we have decided to allow it this time. Simple as.
Because if you have hacked recently that should have consequences. The recording is to make sure you aren't hacking THIS time. The DQ's are so that you pay for what you did.
Oh really then how come people who have hacked not even less than a month ago are playing in the tourney without any consequences? Cause really I give you 5 people who are participating in your tourney who have hacked and its been within the last two years. Really isn't fair that people are getting dqed for reason. -
