DISQUALIFICATION CRITERIA
- You have approximately 10 minutes to show and be ready for your match otherwise you will be declared a no-show and will be declared forfeit from your match, following that you will automatically fall into the losers bracket where, if you fail to show again, another forfeit will be inevitable and you will fail the tournament. So please show up!
- In the event of you breaking any given rule, you will be given a first warning, followed by a second warning on the second occurrence of the offense and finally a disqualification following the third occurrence of the offense. This number is not specific to just one offense, i.e, breaking the rule same rule three times; if you break any of the given rules consecutively three times, you are disqualified.
- In the event of a disconnection you are given approximately 3 minutes (180 seconds) to get back into the room and continue the game; in the event that you fail to come back online, it will be assumed you forfeit from the tournament and your opposition will automatically be awarded a win and proceed to the next round.
- The use of macros, hacks and glitches of any nature will result in an automatic disqualification and being reported to the CrossFire Support.
RESCHEDULING YOUR MATCH
In the event that you/your team is unable to attend your match, please notify the administrating staff of the tournament immediately. Additionally, to reschedule your match, your opposition must also agree to rescheduling and a new date and time will be chosen to the compliance of both parties. In the case that the other party does not agree to reschedule, the hands are tied and there is little that can be done. The date, time and schedule for the tournament are placed beforehand and it is your responsibility to see that it matches with your own schedule.
ANTI-CHEAT
Yes, we are going to be using an anti-cheat in this tournament to avoid any foul play. The anti-cheat in question we will be using is MOSS. It is in everyones best interest to visit the website and do a quick read about the anti-cheat so we can all be on the same page regarding it's use and how to actually get it running. You can download moss using this direct link.
TIE BREAKER
In the unlikely event of a tie breaker, one additional game of five rounds will be played with the winner of this game moving on in the bracket.
OVERSEERS
Please note that we are currently looking for one more additional overseer to help manage and organize this tournament, if you are interested please drop me a direct message on Discord or send me a private message here on the forums. It goes without saying that the ideal overseer would be one who knows Ghost Mode inside out and can devote their time to the tournament. Thank you.
STREAM
To avoid ghosting and other issues, spectating is disallowed but a stream with a slight delay will be available. This area will be updated when we find a suitable commentator and streamer.
Current Streamers:
- No one
If you would like to also stream or would be interested in doing co-commentary please let us know by contacting us through PM on either the forums or the discord channel.

F.A.Q
QUESTION
ANSWER
Who is hosting this tournament?
The CrossFire Ghost Mode Discord Team
Who organizes these tournaments?
iPhoenixi
These tournaments are great, is there a way I can contribute?
We're always looking for help so we can more efficiently run the tournaments. Furthermore, we're also looking for donations to help increase both the frequency of the tournaments and the prize pool. Contact us through the discord channel to see where and how you can fit into the picture.
Where do I show up at 4:00 PM PST to begin the tournament?
The Discord Channel Join the TWOvTWO lobby. Everything is managed and organized through the Discord Channel.
Do I need a mic?
Not a requirement but it definitely helps and improves the communication between you and the overseer. Plus don't you want to communicate with your partner?
How long will the tournament last?
Depends on the number of games played each day but we hope to wrap up the tournament within 3 days.
When will we get our rewards?
After the tournament has concluded and the winners have been decided.
Will only one game be played a time?
No, unfortunately to help speed up the tournament, three to four games will be run concurrently each handled by a separate overseer. The most anticipated matches will be streamed and the boring matches may not. We're limited on the quantity and quality of our streamers.
What weapons/items/characters am I allowed to use?
We are following the P.U.G. rulesets, please take a look at what's available by visiting the thread.
My soul mate dipped on me, can I change my partner?
You are free to change your partner up till the the registration close date which is the midnight of the day before the tournament matches begin.
What about subs, can I have a sub if my partner dips on the day of the match?
No. Come on man, this is a two versus two. If you can't count on your partner to be there on the match day should he really be your partner? That being said, you are free to be a clutch killer and take on the opposition 1 versus 2. If you're successful, the bards will sing about your tale for all of eternity. It would make for a pretty amusing match, too. Utter glory or complete embarassment.
I saw the schedule post below but how do I know what match number my match is?
Refer to this bracket layout. Look at the number preceded each matchup. That is your match number.

SCHEDULEThis is the estimated schedule for the tournament. Approximately 45 minutes are allocated for each match. This time is estimated under the general idea that if one round takes 2 minutes to play and there are 13 rounds played in the match (From a 7 round game), and then the teams switch, the time taken for that game will be 52 minutes. Realistically speaking, it is highly doubtful that any match will be such a tightly contested battle to run that length; however, 45 minutes are given just to be on the safe side and to take into account human error. Three matches are played concurrently with three different overseer overlooking the match.
RESERVE DAY: Feburary 12th, 2016
The purpose of the reserve day is for games that must be rescheduled. It is Sunday. If you cannot play on Friday/Saturday/Sunday for this tournament. Do not sign up. Sunday is when certain rescheduled games can be played before the finals. These games will probably be scheduled before the usual tournament time.

MOSS ANTI-CHEAT MEASUREHere are the instructions for pure beginners on how to use MOSS. It is the anti-cheat measure we employed on our previous tournament and for the most part it got the job done. It's not a big and fancy application, the process is simple. It takes random screenshots within the defined range. Not during a constant interval. Additionally, it also captures a log file that outlines the processes and system information of your computer. No, it does not have any information that invades your privacy. It's sufficent for small time tournaments that we host and it's a mandatory step you will have to do if you wish to participate in the tournaments. If you have trouble starting or running the software, talk to the admins on Discord for step by step support.STEP
VISUAL REPRESENTATIONSTEP 1
DOWNLOAD
Download the MOSS executable file from the MOSS Website
You can go to the main MOSS Website to find the download yourself or click on this direct link to immediately start your download.STEP 2
LOCATE THE FILE & RUN IT
Find the downloaded executable, usually in your "Downloads" folder. After finding it, run the file. Run it as an admistrator if you are running on an account with high UAC settings.STEP 3
THE WINDOW
After you run the file, the MOSS application will start and it will be located on the top right of your screen. It's a very simple design with straight to the point interface. The fundamental settings are listed in the red colored text at the bottom of the window. These settings must be adjusted for CrossFire.STEP 4
ADJUST SETTINGS FOR CROSSFIRE
To adjust the settings, begin by moving your cursor to the top left of the MOSS window where will see the File drop down. Click it and then select Parameters.STEP 5
SELECT CROSSFIRE
Select the Crossfire radio option and then click the Ok button. There is no need to adjust any other settings, nor will you actually be able to adjust any settings.STEP 6
START CAPTURE
Once you have been advised to start the capture by the overseer of the match, move your cursor to the Capture dropdown on the top and click on Start. Doing so will minimize the MOSS window and the overlay will be hidden and you can begin your game normally. Do not open the MOSS window again from the taskbar unless you know what you are doing.STEP 7
STOP CAPTURE
After your game has finished, open the MOSS window from your task bar and like previously, move your cursor to the Capture dropdown. However, this time you will click the Stop option.STEP 8
SEE WHERE MOSS SAVED THE ZIP FILE
After you click Stop, moss will create a .ZIP with all the necessary screenshots and system infornation. Do not attempt to tamper with the contents of this compressed folder. Do not change the name either. The integrity of this folder is checked using the MOSS file check tool. If your zip file fails this check, there will be major complications regarding the legitimacy of your game.STEP 9
LOCATE SAVED ZIP FILE
Find the saved file from the previously outlined location from MOSS. You will be required to send us this MOSS file either through email, discord or public upload platforms. The choice is yours.[Click on the images for an enlarged and clearer image]
