i agree with you man. although ive been more fortunate. the only clans that ive really heard alot of trash trash talking in during a scrim was syntax and Klan Kaos. most other clans are very respectful. my advice, just play with good clans and you should get respectful players. this isnt always the case, syntax and klan kaos are bothh very good and trash talk all match. just be respectful in all your matchs and your clan do the same. you should get respect back unless the other clan is a bunch of immature scrubs (not skill wise scrubs btw)

why would be respectful to noob ass clans?

Not gonna call out anyone here, but recently I've been playing some bothering clans. Before my team played them I doubted we would win, but I thought we should just play these competitive teams for fun and experience. After they started trouncing us, and the whole time they were yelling at us "urbad" "pssh more competition plz" "lolusuck". Doesn't bother me that much, its just that considering when your team doesn't say anything in general chat, and the other team just insults you like that... Well its kind of a putdown. Don't mean to sound like a sad noob but seriously, respect who you play no matter how good they may be. People will lose all respect for your clan if they are bullying you, and its so immature. Ive played several clans like this who definitely had more skill then us, but their manners were atrocious. Feedback appreciated.

wHAT KIND OF FEEDBACK DO YOU WANT?
YOU SUCK, GET BETTER, NO ONE IS GONNA TALK TRASH TO YOU
  • D, I was just in your clan for a day. All I heard during clanwars was "noobs, puzzies" etc from your clan. And swearing in ventrilo, I thought I could finally find a clan that was polite, guess I was wrong.
  • Instead of being rude in scrims just play the game.

I get really pssed off when people on my team are talking smack in gen chat for no reason.

By all means, if the other team wants to start saying some stuff then I'll let the guys get into it, but otherwise I'd prefer to play the game, GG and be done.

People complain constantly about how bad this community is and then fail to realize that THEY have had a hand in creating it.

Every person was a noob at one point, everyone was in a real clan scrim for their first time and most likely didn't do as good as they did in the pubs and stopped and went "Whoa this is different."

The competitive community especially is really small. Part of the reason newer players are tempted to stay in the pubs is because when they get on the clan server and play good teams they often get talked down on. Its depressing enough to get 18 - 0'ed and it really does not help at all when the other team is going "LOLSIT" after every (not so impressive) shot.

I try to be respectful in scrims and keep my thoughts either to myself or to my team. If the other team is being respectful and showing a willingness to get better I'm always more than happy to offer some tips and pointers at the end of the scrim. I don't want them to pay me back, I want them to pay it forward. Months later when they're at that nice decent level and they wreck some team it would be nice for them to return the favor I did in the past.

And if the team is being disrespectful and bad and I feel like I'm wasting my time I'll just leave. No need to sit there and waste 10~ minutes chasing people around the map.

that's kind of our mentality in Void yet a select few are tempted to talk sh1t when they see many high pingers/spops/skill lights/insults. i try to be respectful to everyone but sometimes they just push you over the boundary line...
  • Well I'm not above some "NICE SHOT GIRL!" or "No Skill Lites in WOGL =)"

But I do try to avoid directly insulting them unless they really are asking for it.
