I dont know. It will probably take a while knowing z8.
I would just install win10 and run win7 in a virtual machine, so id still be able to play cf when having win10 as my main OS. But someone at z8 or smilegate came with the genius idea to block cf in virtual machines...to stop farmers or something....and then release vips with massive exp bonuses lol. -

so the new w10 update came today , i hope u guys have made a w10 update for cf also bcuz everytime i try to log i get this , i can log in but i cant start a game after 3 secs the game crashes fix this asap plz

Use Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 to play CF (and install Windows 10 on a different HDD partition if you wanna use-it for other things)
Because can take some time to made CF work under W10 even after Microfost will release final version

I merged all the these threads about Windows 10.
There might be issues with Windows 10, as it was just released today. Testing needs to be done, etc.
I think CrossFire it self is okay. The real problem is X-Trap! Tell these guys to update their system!!! -
It is a joke that Z8 does not have xTrap ready for Windows 10. If you search online, you could see that there are many games that currently are using xTrap have updated the support for the new OS. Windows 10 has been available as preview build for many months and they have not bother to test it with the pre-release software. Abeit it is pre-release, but most of the underlying structures are basically done and the same as Windows 8.1. Now we could wait more than few weeks or even a month or so to actually have the update for this. This could be worse since the event is still going on and I don't want to miss it just because I want to try the new OS. Please, for next time, test your software concurrent with the OS. Also, if you guys can, just get rid of xTrap and go with something else because most of the time, it does not work perfectly at all, and it still causes many problems that affect the playing experience.

Yep, I want to try win10 too but I want to finish that summer school event first. I also think they should get a differend anticheat software, when I google what people think about xtrap its mostly hate. They call it korean crapware or X crap. It kicks legit people out of the game allot. which is very annoying. One thing is sure and that is that Xtrap does not have a good reputation.
I also found out CF china uses a differend anti cheat:" only CF China does not use X-Trap. They have their own anti-cheating program called Tencent Protect, which works similar to GameGuard, but much more effective due to in-game file checking". I dont know how people think about that software but maybe its a really nice upgrade for CF NA. -

For those stuck in win 10 you guys can go to settings and downgrade back to windows 8.1 and wait till xtrap update -

Windows 10 and Crossfire?! questionSince i downloaded Windows 10 for free through the free upgrade thing, i cant play Crossfire due to it not being supported by xtrap.
i was asking if i downgrade back to windows 8 will i still be able to get the windows 10 upgrade for free? even tho i already upgraded....
please answer if you understand i want to know before i go ahead and do that.
if i cant then ill wait for CF to work again... -

Windows 10 non-Compatability
I know somebody might have already posted this issue.
The game runs not in full screen until you load a match, then it goes full screen and randomly crashes.
Just wondering if anyone is working on fixing this or has a fix.
