The company that i work accepted a partnership
with the company Razor
So the Razor company has sent us a lil box of goodies

Since i am the only one of 4 people who work at the office play PC games,
The boss gave me 1 of the two Razor blade laptops.
i asked him if i could buy the other one and he sold it to me for $600.

So i pretty much bought a razor laptop for 80% off
and got a free one as well

So long story short i have a Razor Blade laptop that
i was gonna sell to my friend but he didnt wanna buy it..

now i decided what the hell
ill do a Giveaway and some lucky
son of a gun will have a nice $2700 laptop

Now here are ways that i thought about giving this away:

• Give it away on the forums here
• Give it away on my stream
• Give it away on both my stream and forums combined
• Give it so someone who deserves it and has helped this community tremendously
• Give it to someone who you guys think deserves it

any other ideas/opinions/suggestions will be helpful if u have any... (dont be selfish)

just leave a reply down below on what u think i should do wit this laptop...

i see this as a real bad idea. but if you want to attempt it gl. someone is either gonna be extremely happy or you will pizz off alot of the community with such an idea

That. And involve people from your stream that you (and others) think may deserve it. And let a huge voting decide who might win. It's a big prize so more competition (but not everybody) would be fair.

Then we (or better said,I ) already know who's gonna win this: someone from CF Database,if we also think of "Give it so someone who deserves it and has helped this community" ,removing the "tremendously" part,since that is debatable as f*.

But they already have equipment that can run record CF let alone Run it.....

like it could be anyone tho.....

idk im still taking ideas....

the only issue is Shipping, i can ship no problem to Canada, UK and anywhere in the US but like if your from Eygpt or somewhere in the a jungle ill prob have to give it to someone else or come visit u personally or something...

akio i think this is far too big of a giveaway for the forums i would do it on a stream away from the forums. or not at all i feel its to big of a prize for a giveaway. but its your choice

You can try to contact the Admins and have tournament that they host with you as guest observer, maybe like FFA matches like Host 10 games given whole community a chance to take part and the players who take the Ace after the 10 games! Then you get 10 Players who became ACE and they should be invited to FFA Ace Winners Final Battle to decide the Winner!

*Basically like Royal Rumble of 10 games each games, you should get 10 Ace winners from 10 games.

*Then final Battle Royal for Title Laptop the 10 Ace Winner Will battle for it

*Rules TBA

i would love to contact the GMs but unfortunately i highly doubt they would assist me because i have tried to contact them Via PM and yet i get no response...

you could give it away on your stream, but you'd get far less participants (then again those participating would only be those who actually wanted it, not just people posting on the forum for the lulz), but keep in mind not everyone here lives in North America, and shipping to even Canada can be outrageous.

Shipping costs may not be so nice, if it's going outside of the states then they could get hit with duty. Say it came up here, 351$ for tax, 30-60$ for handling fees for the broker, 30$ for handling fee from the Government, then the shipping if you did CoD .
To someone that would still be a sick deal, but if they have no money then they wouldn't be able to get it from the postal service until duty is paid.

Not trying to discourage you, I think it's a cool idea. Just if going outside the states could get expensive for the end user.

Thoughts:

Give it away on my stream
The stream giveaway will mean that there are probably less people who will join and if you give it away by randomization, then you have no choice over the receiver. Not sure if you have subs but there is a case to be made for a sub giveaway or You could just make it a gift to someone who has been on the stream or forums for a very long time/from the beginning and has become a real friend.

Give it to someone who deserves it and has helped this community tremendously - Probably the best idea, but choosing the person will be hard... People have very different ideas about what is helping (ex: helping by replying to questions about the game, aka sharing knowledge; helping via doing giveaways, aka giving back; helping via solving arguments and so on..).

If you want to do a giveaway then I'd say you make a list of people who you think would deserve it and have people vote on who should get it. (This means that you still have a say in who gets it and the community has a say as well, without the two contradicting.)

You probably should make a post count requirement for voting (I'd say at least 427), to avoid the account/post spam and to have people who are actually active on the forums. (The problem would be the people who don't really post, but just read on the forums, like myself, but they are probably a minority, so one could say that they don't really deserve it... but w/e)

For voting two ideas came to mind:
1) You could use strawpoll, to make it easier, not having to keep count of the forums. (probably not the best idea, there are bots and stuff... but ill still include it)(on second thought this seems to be a fairly bad idea, too easy to scam/abuse and votes are anonymous)
2) You could have people reply on the forums explaining why they think the person deserves it.

Give it away on both my stream and forums combined - could you elaborate what you are thinking by this. Like combining both entries and doing "the roll" on stream or what?

About the shipping, you can just say that you exclude particular countries, or say exactly which include and just do rerolls until it works out.

In conclusion I think you should do the gift to someone who "has helped this community tremendously".
