As I know and as I took in my lessons the freedom is " Make what you want anything and if it harm you no problems but don't harm people who are around you".
You will say it won't harm anyone except gays but the truth when any one see them do that, he wanted too.
To be a gay, lebisons and make sex with a woman and she isn't your wife is HARAM.

I find acts showing this type of affection between males to be repulsive, but that's not something I can do much about. If they do it so that I can't see/hear it, then it is fine.

That they can't have children?
Because I can't think of anything else, and even that isn't really a harm.
