You know what makes me mad? This version used to have real decent players. I could name so many clans...Panthers, UnE, Hell, Invisible, Eliminate, Contagion, Phantom...
MOTG II was a failure, Talon's was affected since almost half of the teams that had signed up for it simply disappeared after MOTG II. Still, it was partially succesful (just a small issue at the final, but overall it was a good tournament). Then there were Sugoi's tournaments. Most of them had some kind of issue. I remember his ruleset for 1 of the tournaments was knife+bd, but the damn BD bug just had to happen on that month...
On the other hand, the brazilian scene's been working out so damn well...It makes me mad to see how far behind NA's been left, considering the amount of decent clans and players it used to have.
You know, the community itself really didn't help out. I can remember only a couple of players that actually tried to come up with some sort of event for the GM scene.
Z8 kept saying we had to start something on our own, and if it worked out, they'd consider helping us out, maybe with sponsored prizes or something like. Yet their tournament was a failure. Whenever people tried something, some freakin bug would make things harder to achieve. Then there was OCG's failure: One hell of a laggy AC and that epic substitution cra.p on the final. And now, after THREE F###### long years, after the mode and the game itself died, they finally decided to bring this goddamn thing back. I honestly don't know if they're stupid or what, cause considering this game's situation, there's no reason to bring this tournament back.
Look you need to understand that mistakes happen. The GM's back then screwed up but today's GM's want to make CFNA better. Just because they messed up last time doesn't mean they will mess up now.
If you don't want to play fine but don't go around and hate on this. You talked about CFBR and how far ahead they are. The COMMUNITY had a large part in that. The community stayed positive and helped out even when **** hit the fan. The way you're acting is not needed.
You're more than welcome give your opinion but this MOTG3 is going to be bigger and better than it ever was. This is a step in the right direction even if you cant comprehend that. -

So just because they managed to make your game experience bad you had to cowardly run away? Look nothing is perfect and CF is far from it but you cant just act like a child when those type of things occur. Now unless you and your friends are making up an excuse to not play due to being washed up or out of your prime then its all fine by me. If that is not true then prove me wrong and play. But for those that are the real players will continue to support and participate. -

And we're making excuses? I've been playing CF/GM for almost 6 years. I've been involved with competitive for 3 years, and I still do play competitively on CFAL. It's never been about being on our prime or any cra.p like that, after MOTG II, Talon's happened on May if i'm not mistaken, I was gone for like 1-2 month, like most people. None of us were on our prime, but we DID play. It's never been about winning the tournaments, the prizes, or any cra.p like that. It's always been about the fact that it's a GM tournament, which is the mode we've played for so long, and we just wanted to participate. Ofc, winning the tournament and getting a prize would be awesome, but most people didn't think of that as the main goal.
You may think whatever you want of me. I've proven myself on both version over and over again. After gettin bashed by NA players at the beginning, for the fact i'm a brazilian, I got most of them to recognize me as a legit decent player. And what's most important: All of my teammates respect me, as I respect them. Right now, I don't need anyone's respect or recognition.
And last but not least, I supported this damn version for 4 years, before i completely left for CFAL. I've done everything I could, as a player, participating on 4-5 tournaments and playing actively for 3 years, and as an organizer, which hosted the AL-NA All Stars Match. Still, there are people who have done more than me, specially Snake, but I know that considering where i'm from, and all i've been through in this version, i've done far more than my share.
No one should be forced to support a version they've lost faith in, which is 90% of the GM community's case. You may think of them as unfaithful players, coward players or anything like that, but they're not. They're just tired of supporting something that clearly will not work out, which has been CFNA's case for the past, huh...1-2 years?

As for a step in the right direction. 100%. Having GMs make this tourney is a great step I'm happy to see they're making. -
Either way if someone is suspected of cheating, just report it. Its easy to spot a cheater in GM. Oh and dont try to use macros either.
what if someone rez files? LOL I'm just saying but who know... it might happen with the macro and rez sounds. If I'm in a clan, I will be streaming most of the games so people can actually see the games vs what happened in the past. Who know...
Does removing nades sound = rez too? Or just removing gun sounds = rez? LOL

I was going to enter with some friends, I was getting some excitement flowing, but then yet another bug hit me and I couldn't Stab with Axe Octane after switching from C4, also after successfully planting C4 it occasionally doesn't let you jump away and instead you just crouch walk for 1 second turning visible as BL. Sorry but in all honest this mode is incredibly frustrating due to it being riddled with unresolved bugs and glitches, that is absolute and known amongst almost all regular GM players, things that shouldn't happen in a tournament but will and do.
It's great to see MOTG returning and even better that new GMs are putting in effort, that's truely awesome! but this mode is far beyond repair in both technical and activity senses. Also we have jobs so 5 days isn't enough to muster a team for a near dead mode let alone no rules or times being announced until a likely Monday which by then only gives people 3 days to get a team, work on strategies, try out those strats and then finally some general practice, so ultimately this tourney will be a bit haphazard of a chaotic sprawl.
I should have spoke up sooner about the literal list I have of issues in this mode that haunts and deters gameplay for all to simply deal with, it's been too long dealing with them, but I honestly believe they would never be fixed anyway even if all the players and GMs listened and genuinely wanted to help. It's been like this for years and will not change and this mode will keep plummeting into the abyss. -
