End of the Year Awards/Analysis

Draft BUST:
In the first pick of the 2014 CrossFire Draft, team "Free Nation" selects OsmanOmar as a starting rifler. This rookie had some pretty promising attributes and was ranked first on many mock drafts as the projected number one pick in the CrossFire draft. Being trained by two prominent veteran rifles in the game, Jaime and Pablo, OsmanOmar seemed to be a pretty promising player if progressed and developed in the right way. However with an arrogant attitude approach and lack of discipline, this player was cut by multiple teams and underperformed on several important occasions. Right now OsmanOmar may be a free agent and could be looking for a possible deal where he can get his career going in the right direction.

Draft Steal:
The player imToonie or toonie is a new player who rocked the competitive scene and dominated throughout the year of 2014 as a sniper. Surprisingly coming out undrafted in the CrossFire draft, Toonie had a chip on his shoulder and wanted to prove to the entire competitive scene that it was a mistake not drafting him. Picked up as a free agent undrafted to team bio, toonie exemplified his skilled sniping skills which is complimented by his extraordinary deagle skills. Proving to be a major factor and contributor for his team, team Bio has now placed well in many different leagues and tournaments with prize money under their belt. I believe that team Bio's GM has been doing a great job in the past few years. I mean lets look at the foundation and players this GM has picked up. Last year Bio drafted star rookie Nullify whos presence has been a factor in many matches. Also Bio GM has signed x0tek to a 2 year 22M dollar year contract to lead the team and its endeavors. Projected losing in the first round in CFS to winning third place, its safe to say they're a deadly team to look out in the future.

Who's the next star rookie?
In the 2015 draft, many different stars are rising to the occasion and competing to be drafted to be the first pick of the draft. However two future prospects have been highlighted in the CrossFire Rookie Showcase, many different scouting reports are saying the same thing over and over. Kazz or KingMario? These two players are very interesting and both very young. We wonder who will be picked in the CrossFire Draft as a first pick and where will these young players go in their career. We have Kazz who is a young and naive player, however he still developing at a surprisingly fast pace and has shown a ton of potential even with a bad pc hindering his performance. Another promising factor about this player is him being the nephew of veteran MOEmDOWN, he gets the privilege of getting personal training by prime squad who are stressing the importance of communicating with the team, dedicating his time to his craft as well as the factors of having a great shot and having professional experienced knowledge in the game of crossfire. On the other side of the spectrum we have kingmario, the brother of Jaime and Pablo Orozco. If theres one thing we know about jaime and pablo, its headshot headshot headshot! Kingmario is focusing strictly on his shot and his one tapping skills and how fast he can hit the head. Although this is one of the most important skills to have in this game, there are other skills needed in this game to be a top tier player. Will KingMario take the torch from his older brothers, or will he be another OsmanOmar? Who is going to be the next rookie star? We will find out in the coming year of 2015.

Teams Who did NOT live up to the dream:

2k9.Gamevox:
2k9.Gamevox was arguably one of the best teams to enter the CFS 2014 National Qualifier tournament. Even being made two days before the actual event, the 2k9 roster was stacked with mykL, Wizdom, Logic, Moemdown, and WoTip. With high hopes in placing top 3 in this tournament this deadly team destroyed teams on day 1 (except Instinct) of the tournament including sending several talented teams home like MSX and TriX. Even on Day 2 after losing to ACE Gaming by 1 round on map 1 and 1 round in OT on Map 2, they still had high hopes to place third in CFS. 2k9 came away with no prize money after losing to team Bio in the third place match.
Welfare:
This team was a talented team who has been crushing the competitive scene before CFS giving them high hopes to place top 3 and getting prize money. With a prominent veteran rifler pimpdemnikes, and veteran sniper ty2k who went to china the first CFS, this team was looking to send team Bio home on day 1. On Mexico, a map they dominated previously on and even crushed bio on in a recent ESL cup before CFS, they were astonished at the level bio played and essentially lost the match to Bio on that same very map they played before, Mexico.

Whats the next Step?
Team Ace Gaming has been playing together for a while and they know what it takes to win. When the top 2 Canadians team merged, lifeline and carnage, ace gaming formed a competitive monopoly in which they thought they would go to crush the WCG National Canadian scene and move on to represent Canada at the WCG international level. This worked, however only for one year because WCG does not support CrossFire anymore. Recently being invited to play internationally in Brazil and winning, the team always sets their expectations high in every tournament they play in. Ace Gaming really wanted to beat the powerhouse Instinct in CFS and go to CrossFire Stars to represent NA. Looking a bit iffy in after slightly beating 2k9, they reassured their dominance by destroying bio going into the championship match against Instinct. They were crushed and looked frustrated as they could not get a map under their belt against Instinct. What is next for this team? They have been playing for a long time now and it looked like their international peak may be over. They saw this coming after the competition increased where not only did they need to play against Canada anymore, but against the entire North American region. Should star player Ayrin leave Team Ace Gaming and join a powerhouse team such as Carbon or even Instinct? Well see how things play out and how this team will rebound after losing in CFS.

Team who CRUSHED this year:
When has a team ever looked this dominant since the Hammertime days. Man, Instinct sweeping CFS like a piece of cake not even giving up a map. Overall Instinct should be proud at the level they played throughout this year. In CFS International, they also beat a Chinese team as well which is another accomplishment under NA's belt. Even after they're performance this year, there may be doubt in whether or not they are going to play this game or not. In my personal opinion Instinct has two options, they can continue with their roster which would only make them better and further develop they're chemistry, or they can drop some players and sign Ayrin on the roster or sign players on the Carbon squad like Andrej or Brando. That is a decision that must be made by team leader RALF and Instincts GM. Some questions that must be discussed about is have Instinct reached its peak already after the dangerous and scary team Carbon formed and is ready for action and ready to challenge Instinct after they have been banned this entire year? I mean I dunno, Carbon is looking hungry and they have been waiting to get their chance to redeem themselves and snatch the competitive crown.

MVP of the Year:
Since Instinct was the best team last year, it is not a coincidence that one of the players on this team is MVP. The MVP of the 2014 Crossfire award goes to Andrew "Maveloff" Miloslavsky. This guy has been dominating for the game for years from early on and really impressed all of us in CFS National and International Tournaments where he showed off all his talented skills and knowledge of the game which cannot be taught in a textbook, but learned through experience. He also had the most frags on the team in South Korea and had many memorable rounds throughout the year 2014. We all thought that Mav reached his peak where he dominated for team Hammertime, but no, he set a new level of game play on team Instinct. Well deserved Maveloff, have fun in Disney World.

2015 Who Will Win:

If the rosters stay where it is now I have a few predictions I would like to spit out. If national qualifiers is a LAN, Instinct will lose to Carbon. I don't say this in any way to disrespect the level of talent Instinct brings to the table, I am just saying that Carbon will win by 1 round on Mexico. I just think that when you've been waiting so long to redeem yourself and you want to prove yourself when you got a chip on your shoulder that's the extra edge that will better you're performance. I mean it can also make you more nervous because when you get that opportunity, that moment feels surreal and the nerves can get to you making you choke but I think Carbon have been in these professional situations many times and they know how to handle the pressure. Lets not forget them losing at WCG National LAN against Socks (Instinct) by a Golden Round on Mexico. However I think Carbon has made better roster changes and have more time to prepare for the next major event. They know that Instinct will cross their path in the future, will Carbon go through that path or will Instinct stop them where they are just like they did at WCG LAN?
If rosters change, I got my money on the roster that has Brando.
