my strategy guide summons me to gank right after a blue buff, has been quite successful quite a few times
especially lvl 2 lee sin/jarvan/nunu after blue, guaranteed to burn summoners or even result in fb
depends on situation, usually I'm out of the jungle for a gank after the three minute mark -

with lee you have options like this one.
also, if you're blue side, you can rush your red buff (ie. smite early), and just run straight to enemy red. q the red and let it pull towards the bush so that the enemy jungler won't see the camp unless they walk into the bush. this might not work in s5 tho..

if you're east coast, lee is clunky. i'm just waiting on the server migration before i start playing him more. -

yeah I've done that quite a few times on lee actually, early q-e dmg spike clears the buff pretty quick
