Suggest me a gun, based on my needs/wants.
I have taken up playing this game again, after several months of not caring about it... I played GM exclusively and was really good 3.0 K/Dr as a GR. My setup was the standard M4A1 + DEagle, also standard. This worked pretty good, but always felt like I (the gun.) was lacking in something. So after coming back I am in need of a GP gun that is suitable for GM.
These are the things I value when it comes to gun choice.
Accuracy. (I like to be able to snipe at ghosts, and not miss them entirely.)
Balanced at all ranges. (I like to be able to deal good damage at all ranges, so it doesn't feel like I am shooting a pee-shooter.)
Damage. (Of coarse I want damage, however if the damage is lacking, as long as the DPS makes up for it, I don't mind as much.)
Maneuverability. (I don't want to walk slow as a zombie, with a heavy as heck gun, since I will be in a GM game, being able to out maneuver a ghost, is key to survival, especially when your reloading.)
Lastly, Spray pattern. (A predictable pattern, that isn't going to shake me out of my computer chair, lol...)
So no super heavy or high recoiled guns, unless it's manageable.
And remember, a GP gun setup, until I do surveys.

Hmm GP set up.
XM8, M4, Duel Despies/XM1014 (if like close range) + Deagle or Mk 23 Socom if you spray a bit more.
I used a XM8 + Deagle before. Now my bags are..
Bag 1: M4 Silver + Deagle
Bag 2: AWM + Deagle
Bag 3: AK47/XM8 + USP
Bag 4: Colt M16A3/Duel Despies + Temp Glock
Depends on how you play, but I would recommend just staying with the M4 + Deagle combo. -
M4A1 (you already have), Rugar, XM8.
Rugar's Spray just goes strait up a bit and stops. Very easy to learn, it also does AK damage with slightly less recoil. Shoots a bit slower then other rifles tho but that can save you from wasting ammo.
XM8's spray goes up a bit and then goes side to side. Also does AK damage and comes with wallbang for ghost hiding behind boxes. Also has a scope for long range shots.
M4A1, lowest recoil of the 3 but does the least damage of these 3. Easiest to control. -

I suppose that's true. To be more specific, the time to reload the K-2 is 2.8 seconds, which is slower than most assault rifles.MisterMunzta wrote: »I'd say dual despies, because they're pretty quiet and have a good range for a shotgun
The op stated he wants a gun suitable for all ranges:Accuracy. (I like to be able to snipe at ghosts, and not miss them entirely.)

But the desperadoes are good at close range. -

Dual despies are impressive at medium/long range, not as good as a rifle, ofc, but probably at the same level than some SMGs.
G36K would be a good choice too (forgot about it, although I
it) -
Micro-Galil, or else the SG552.
Best thing about them, you can control their spray-pattern like the AK-47.
I recommend the Galil for sure.
People will hate him in GM if he uses the SG552... At least I will, it's probably the loudest gun with the K1A. -
Ruger with Glock is a pretty good combo. Ruger's pretty decent at mid and long ranges to snipe out ghosts with its AK-like damage, while the Glock is helpful because the 3shot burst will almost always kill if they're right in your face. The Ruger is only decent at close range because of its low ROF, so the Glock's 3shot burst balances out the Ruger fairly well I would think.
If you don't care about burning your teamates ears, and/or can afford the ZP, any AK with Mauser is basically a better version of above combo. -
I'm going to suggest you get the K-2 or XM8.
this. or the AUG or Type 89.
AUG because it's pinpoint accurate and not too loud so that sound*****s won't complain
Type 89 because it's similar to the xm8 in accuracy, rof, power, and the full boxbang.
The Type 89 I would recommend more over the AUG for exclusive GM play due to it's already "built-in" suppressor. It's quiet, has decent power, good accuracy, and does full damage through boxes. -

Type-89 is just really quiet for some reason, but it's still hear-able to some extent. An Aug might get him killed due to the 2.9 Sec reload. -

type 89 is 4 seconds buddy...
if u dont care bout the QQers get the scar-l
if you dont want to pay a bill for your teammate's ear**** xm8
if you are based on sights/ no shotty then get ak
if you pp then just stick with an m4 or tar if you get bored -

Well guys/gals I have bought the M4A1 and later when I get there, the DEagle. When I rank up to guns like the XM8, should I trade in the M4A1 for the XM8? I have used it many times in GM when people die or lend me it for a round, it's pretty nice. All I know is Wallbang would be good, although there's not many boxes and stuff to shoot through in Bio-Facility (my new fav. map) Other than the XM8 I was thinking the G36K or QBZ95/Type89. Anyways thanks for all the help, and speedy responses.
*On a side note, I have been trying to upload a avatar, but it fails everytime I try to set it. I've made sure it's 100 x 100, what am I missing? -

I would say the Tar-21 and it's scope. XM8 is an option too. Type89 would be very good, but it's damage ain't good. Though it's half silent, deadly accurate and 100% capable to strike through wood. I still would pick Type89 for you though. -
He never said anything about volume. Anyways, I leaned more towards the Micro-Galil

Yo dawg I use micro galil too. It's affordable and light. Not too fast firing rate means u have more ammo to go around.
Ideally MP5 advanced with silencer is the best.
Use submachine guns in ghost mode as it is easy to turn.
Use M4A1 with silencers is good too.
