Okay. I thought this over the week and I've decided to restart round 1, from the beginning. There were too many FFWs and it was chaotic to begin with because I rushed it.
Here's the official word:
Default has been changed to Wednesday 8 PM EST. I hope this doesn't interfere with ESL or ESG, and I don't believe so.
ROUND 1 will restart on September 17th, default 8 PM EST. We'll pick up from here, and move forth on the bracket every week. Please try to show up if you can. Again, our bracket will remain the same. I do believe 7 matches need to be played. Triumph defeated Carbine in an actual-played match, so that does not need to be replayed.
You have three days to arrange your matches, refer to the communication thread or the bracket if you don't know who you're playing. I hope it isn't rushed this time, given you have 3 days. -

esg is over and almost every team in this tournament doesnt make it to finals/semis

Well, we're going with a restart. If you "lost" last Sunday because of a no show, you now have a chance to show up this Wednesday and get your match completed.
There's still a loser's bracket. So if you lost a match on the upper bracket, you should still stick around. You're not completely eliminated if you lose your first match. Plus the majority of the "losses" last week were from no shows/FFWs, and you know what there should be competition in a competition.
I hope Wednesday doesn't interfere with anything anymore, because up to this point, I've been told that ESG ran on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and that ESL had events on Fridays and the weekend. Why, some teams couldn't play their match last Sunday because they were playing in another event. Wednesday seems perfect, in order to avoid collision. -

Also, definitely the wrong thread to report scores. Plus, proper reporting formats need to be followed as well. This means you need to attach screenshots of end-game scoreboards and stats.
With the default change, I'm trying to be flexible to avoid collision with other leagues. I don't want it to be a problem when teams can't show up here because they're playing ESL/ESG, and vice versa. Bottom line is, if most of you can show up for ESG on Tuesdays and Thursdays (school nights), why couldn't you show up for default on a Wednesday night? I'm really being flex here with match times. You do not have to play at default, you can plan for a day and time before the default. This is up to you however, to schedule with your opposing team. -

literally 8 teams played in esg, and all of those made it to playoffs
now theres maybe 3-4 decent teams that are active
no one wants to play from mon-weds
thursdays are ok
fridays are ok
i think sat at 9-10 est would be the best -

So far I don't think everyone visits the forums, and I have no confirmation whether they're still active, or dead as you claim so. Theoretically, every participating team should at least visit this thread on a daily basis. But I understand not everyone has that sort of luxury time. And clearly I've stated that at least one player should report if his team is no longer playing.

Literally almost every team that was started off in round 2 is active except for maybe 1 or 2. Half the teams in round 1 either forgot they signed up, or died ( I see a few dead teams). You shouldn't have had to replay round 1, their own faults for not showing up. They should have at least said something about; they didn't, so they died or don't care. -
