E8S1 CrossFire LAN Tournament TEAM LIST
With over 1 month to go to the event I decided it would be a great time to make a thread for all of the teams that are going or are deciding to going to the Echo 8 Season 1 LAN Tournament.
This is how it will work
There will be a list for CONFIRMED teams, DECIDING teams, TEAMS LOOKING for players, and PLAYERS LOOKING for team.
I have talked to several teams and players about attending the event and I have seen that most of them are just waiting for others to sign up. So hopefully with this thread teams and players will get a boost in confidence to sign up and attend the event.
Get all information for the event here
Purchase Tickets here
If players have any problems about purchasing tickets online, please PM me so we can consider paying at the door an option.
I will update the list when teams and players post letting us know what their current status is.

The reason why one team has joined are because of the following reasons:
-Location of the lan ( like really? Should've been in NYC)
-The amount of 2 week teams being created are on an all time high.
-The community somehow really doesn't trust you.
-The average age of a competitive crossfire player is 17. Many of them can't financially go or even allowed to travel on their own. -

There will definitely be 8-12 teams, just because only one has confirmed doesnt mean much considering its still over a month away. Especially since like you said there is a lot of 2 week teams. -

Wow u r sm@rt
Sure have a lan in nyc where everything is hella expensive compared to indy
Poor white guys like me already have problems getting a big mac from mcdonalds -
Big city? Big Airport? Crossroad of America? Great Lan Center?
You're making the mistake of thinking that people would actually pay for a plane ticket to go to a LAN where the payout isn't even going to cover travel expenses.
You're only going to get a decent turnout if its within driving distance for most players. How many of the teams from the Canada LAN were Canadian? I'm going to assume the majority of them. Now, how many of those teams are going to attend this LAN in Indy? Answer is probably very few.
Just to prefire this response, 11 hours from the NorthEast (where a good portion of competitive players live) is not realistic driving distance. -

Airports that are near/in Indy aren't that expensive to get to, Indy as a city isn't that expensive (unlike somewhere like NYC), the ping isn't in the 50+ range (like if you picked Cali, or Florida, or North Carolina, etc), and it's a community funded LAN, do you really expect the prize pool to be enough for everyone to get their money back for going? Only 1 team can win 1st place regardless and that would, realistically, be the only team that would get their money back. The point of going is to enjoy going to a lan, not to win your money back. Lans are a blast. There are many other community lans for other games where the vast majority of the teams going know they won't win, they just want to go to have fun. They lose money going, but it's like a lot of other things you do for fun in life, you lose money doing it but you have a good time.
The Canada lan was a different story, most of the teams back then were younger than they are now (assuming most of the competitive scene now has been around since then) and couldn't drive or pay for a flight because they either didn't have a car, or since it was in the middle of the school year, they didn't have jobs or enough money to pay for a flight. The average age for competitive teams is older now and they have more resources. I know I wanted to go to that lan but I couldn't. It was in the middle of the school year and because of that I couldn't afford to go(wasn't able to work enough hours to get up the money for a flight or for gas). At least this is closer than Montreal or wherever FG lan was.well it would be the same as indy maybe cali is kinda the opposite of indy but just as far for east coast players and there is allot more east coast teams.
but if it was in cali id go
Problems with Cali lan:
1. Let's say half the players in E-8 are West Coast, you still got the other half that aren't and they would have to spend quite a bit of money to get all the way to Cali from places like Florida.
2. Cali as a state is an expensive state. Pretty much everything there is expensive as fck.
3. The ping would be like 70. For a lan that's pretty high. I mean, irregardless it won't be a true lan because CFNA's engine is terrible so even a 20 ping lan would have pretty big peek adv and you wouldn't be able to hold angles, but 70-100 ping lan wouldn't be worth going.
Tbh, I still have to spend a bit of money to drive there and it is a 12hr drive for me, but even though it's far for me too, I'd still rather have it more centralized so more ppl have the opportunity to go. AND because I wouldn't drive to Cali for a high ass ping lan. Like I said, it would still be a long ass drive either way, but it would be much more expensive to stay in Cali for a few days.
