  • The 5 international maps are perfect as they are imo.

    yuppppp^
  • All in order of ranking

Maps that should be in pool:

    1. Factory: How this map was ever taken out, I'll never know. This was literally the staple map of crossfire and in my opinion the best designed map in the entire game. Not only did it have insanely great angles and epic fights in middle. It caused both ct and t sides to use actual real strats and timings with nades, smokes and flashes that alot of the maps

    2. Ceyhan: The last of the 5 staple maps of cf. Out of them all, I'd rank this a solid 4th. Sure it has nothing on the likes of Factory and "dust 2" but it's still a solid map in crossfire terms. It has nice features like the double doors and the toilet.

Maps that could be: (the mehhhhhhs)
    3. Santoria: This map somehow saw a rise in popularity, and originally I hated it. Until eotl had to play it in like 20 matches for some reason. After that I started to really like the map and liked how it played out with strats. However theres some huge glaring issues with this map that should be addressed before competitive play (Hah, good luck, need more item shop fixes) Notably the fact that ladders play a big part in this map and the awful ladder lag coupled with the stick spots in ct really make this map a poor choice for leagues

    4. The mine: DA MINE! Originally when this map came out only pub scrubs would scrim on. Or the occasional try to glich to the top of the tower with denxi and dag. Saw a rise in popularity due to Wogl not caring about map layouts. It's huge, it's ugly, it's setup is awful, but for some reason, this map has had some pretty good matches on it, and could be considered for league play. But it'l still be a joke among older competitive players.

    5. Eagle eye: Decent layout, a site is good. B site is a joke, along with middle. The real big issue here is just the amount of crap thats on the map. So much stuff to get stuck on, it's insane.

    6. Downtown: First real stream of a league was on this map. But its layout is god awful along with ladders playing a big part in b? site. The other site (a?) is fun to defend with the huge tower. Map suffers the same problem as Eagle Eye. To much clutter.

    Maps that should be burned:
Desert Storm - Really? This was designed by a 4 year old autistic
Compound - Had its run, never caught on =/
Festival - What in the **** is happening here?
    Spain - OMYGOD

Maps that I have never heard of:

    Hotel(I think thats the name)
    Warehouse?
  • I think it depends on the tournament ESG is hosting. If it's for CFS then I would want only the main 5 we have now, but for ESG Winter Series and other tournaments like that we can add others.
  • Hmm this is really a good question about maps being rotated in and being played more competitively.

Each " Non-Competitive " map should be introduced into the cycle if you ask me.

Eagle Eye- Overplayed in PUBS, but a well balanced map and easy to maintain for both sides.

Factory- Believed to be a GR sided map ( I honestly believe so myself ) but has so many possibilities to become better ( In regards to new teams trying to build themselves up, this would be a perfect test of their abilities )

Desert Storm - It seems A LOT of players hate this map, but I see a lot of possibilities with this map in all honesty, it's well balanced and it's not too big or small, should be considered.

Santoria- One of my personal favorites, map is well balanced and it requires tactics to take either site considering both of them are enclosed in small areas ( A and B site )

The Mine - Once again it seems a lot of players hate this map, but I think it's decently balanced ( I personally believe BL has advantage but still ) would be interesting to see how teams play this map.

These are the only ones I could think of, would be interesting to see how TOP/MID/LOW tier teams ( Or however teams want to think of themselves ) play out on each of these maps that aren't really played unlike the "Mainstream" Ones (i.e Black Widow, Mexico, Port, Sub-Base)
  • I like DesertStorm, and Factory. I wouldn't be comfortable with any other editions.

That said, I'd rather just play the i5.
  • I personally like the i5 how it is, but if you're going to add any of those maps only 2 are played in China (from what I have seen). Those two being Eagle Eyes and Compound, everyone is talking about Ceyhan, sure it's a decent map, but seeing how it will never be internationally played EVER because there are multiple versions of the map; I don't see why it should be added.

As previously stated if you do decide to add maps the only ones in contention are: Eagle Eyes and Compound
  • Ceyhan - The angles that you could play on this map can turn 1v4/5s around so easily. It creates a lot of entertainment if some players do pull it off on cast. The rotations and passages you can go through into sites is so diverse and interesting.

Compound - I personally enjoy playing this map because it literally boils down to player vs. player in picks. The way B and A site are set up makes it very interesting to watch how the GR side will be able to hold it.
  • i think you should just add all the snd maps.
  • Ceyham
    Desert Storm
    Compound

I really do love these maps. If im not mistaken Desert Storm was a map in wogl?
  • santoria
    ceyhan
    compound
