It's considered as being an overpowered sniper. -
They did say this
"Also, STOP BEGGING FOR THE BARRETT. As of now, the devs don't plan on putting it in our version, and unless something changes over there it's not coming to NACF. Stop posting about it."
So I guess were not going to it and I really don't care for it. -

wow seems like ages ago to me. -
They didnt say that they will not add it they said they dont think that we are going to get it anytime soon
But this thread was written back in 2009...
Many things have changed since then
+1 its not the wallbang or the power i love in this weapon but the style(those red/royal/legendary dragon skins suits perfectly with barrett) -
As said before countless of times. Crossfire does not need an anti-materiel rifle that does 100 HP damage anywhere on the body through a wall any more than that it needs bazookas. Just because every other version has it, doesn't mean we should. And if you still want it, then I suggest you go play one of the other versions then.
The only place where you could possible see the M82a1 enter this game, is in drop crates in mutation or zombie mode. Anywhere else it is considered gross overkill to use. -

Does the box protect you from the M4 VIP? How many players with M4 VIP you think will spray to the boxes before you can see them? I got it all the time. -
as I said, put it in support crate in mutant mode only. Don't put it in black market, don't put it in shop just Mutant modes only! because hunting mutants is hard these day since we don't have any kind of powerful enough sniper rifle to support for hunting. if you search youtube, you guys will probably see M82 in MM more than TDM or S&D
