Given 3 more attempts to get this, plus 3 more non repeated tags means you'll probably have anywhere from 6-9 dog tags by the end of the event if you complete all 3 days.
While we can't guarantee this will happen due to the random nature of tags earned from the mission, this should be way more than enough to get everyone back up to steam and ready for any dog tag reward changes in the future.
The item won't be changing for the December update, however we expect some new items to come in 2014. So if you hadn't used your tags by then you should have your full tags by the time we're ready to change the item again!
Just sayin. Im happy that u give us the chance to earn them back

I'm not angry, but it would be fair if this event was a bit longer.
A 5 day long event would be better considering everyone was affected.
haha, you should be angry. I had all but 1 dogtag when i lost them all. And not to mention all those many many many months i took to get them.

When I hit capt. back in the day, the missions became useless to do. Then my full set of dog tags that I've been saving for over a year were taken away by an "error" from ether Z8games or the devs. The jobs are still impractical to do for people who have a high rank and work a full time job.

You really couldn't give a free dogtag just for logging in instead? That seems like a better idea than this event... I just can't get over how insulting this is when it's combined with the increased hit registry problems that have gotten worse over time among other problems.
I know exactly how you feel. I had all but 1 dogtag to complete and took me over 6 months to get them. And its not even a good prize for me since i have over 20 permanent snipers. But like you said, at our rank sometimes the daily mission seems ridiculous. 11 games MM or 9 wins SND just to win 500 useless GP. -
Is the staff so lazy as to have all players loose their hard earned dogtags and not return them in a proper way like an even to give all players a fair chance to get ALL their dogtags back and not some little 3 day event. Honestly the staff/mods/admins whatever are the worst in the gaming community. FIX YOUR SELVES AND YOUR SHIETY GAME.
You have 8 of 9 Dog Tags right now (on the account you're posting on).
The current reward has been the same reward for a while. The new reward is not coming until 2014. So if you didn't use your Tags before what would make you use them now?
All you need to do is complete 1 daily mission between December 4 - 6 and you will have your dogtag back. -

We have to work within the confines of what the game gives us.
There is no log created when a player wins a Dog Tag. We have no logs from "prior to" when tags were fine.
We also have to work with averages, it's difficult to find a solution that is going to please 100% of the people. We cannot give 9 dog tags to every account in the game because prior to the error there was no record of who had them or who didn't have them.
Frustration is going to be expected, but there isn't much more we can do about it. Running this event will be possible to do in the future, and we might be able to run more events that give away dog tags, but we still have to work within the database system.
To take the guy who has 8 tags needing 1 more. If you need to win 11 games to get the 9th tag to save you 6 months of trying to farm it, doesn't it make sense to try?
We've set the missions on Friday to be some of the easiest to accomplish missions available. Hopefully that will help a bit more. -

Thanks for explaining the situation and trying to make amends for it. Appreciate that. I'm still peeved about loosing the dog tag I paid ZP for on the bonus mission though however. -
