Double Dog Tag event!
Attention all Dog Tag collectors!
In light of a recent issue we had with players missing their dog tags we are running an event over the next 3 days to double up your tags and get you back in the running for the Dog Tag rewards!
From December 4th - 6th, each time you complete a daily mission to earn a dog tag you will be awarded a second dog tag.
The Dog Tag you get from this special reward will be unique and not duplicated from the previous reward.
Each Day we will award that extra Dog Tag based on the status of you completing the mission the day before. Complete the daily mission on December 4th, earn your extra tag on December 5th and so on.
This is a great way to get your dog tags filled up and get the awesome exclusive reward prize at the end! By the time the event is over you could have earned a maximum of 6 of the 9 possible dog tags!Each Day we will award that extra Dog Tag based on the status of you completing the mission the day before. We will have an event tracker set up as well for you to track your progress.

but there where 8 of 9 dogtags before the patch .
The average player already probably has 1-2 Dog Tags since we fixed the problem.
Given 3 more attempts to get this, plus 3 more non repeated tags means you'll probably have anywhere from 6-9 dog tags by the end of the event if you complete all 3 days.
While we can't guarantee this will happen due to the random nature of tags earned from the mission, this should be way more than enough to get everyone back up to steam and ready for any dog tag reward changes in the future.
The item won't be changing for the December update, however we expect some new items to come in 2014. So if you hadn't used your tags by then you should have your full tags by the time we're ready to change the item again! -
I don't want double dog tags, I want the 9 I already had which took me over a year to get. I don't even snipe so I couldn't give a damn less about the gun. It's the principle. The fact that I worked my ass off to get something and it was taken from me without being returned...

I was 2 dogtags away from redeeming before this issue, so 6 dogtags won't fully compensate. Considering that out of those 6 dogtags obtained over this event, repeats of the same dogtag is possible...
I'm not angry, but it would be fair if this event was a bit longer.
A 5 day long event would be better considering everyone was affected. -

not everyone lost there dog tags, i didn't lose any, not sure how. -

This event is more of an insult than anything. Saidin, do you have ANY idea of how messed up the system currently is? The higher rank you are, the more time it takes to do a mission and get a tag.
When I hit capt. back in the day, the missions became useless to do. Then my full set of dog tags that I've been saving for over a year were taken away by an "error" from ether Z8games or the devs. The jobs are still impractical to do for people who have a high rank and work a full time job.
This event is (redacted)-ing useless to those who have a high rank. This has to be one of the worst events of 2013 if not THE worst.
You really couldn't give a free dogtag just for logging in instead? That seems like a better idea than this event... I just can't get over how insulting this is when it's combined with the increased hit registry problems that have gotten worse over time among other problems. -

What about the people that spent ZP to for the bonus mission to earn an extra dog tags like me?... When I came back to the game I had all but 3 dog tags. I bought the extra mission one day and just need one more dog tag to complete the set on the next day. Then all of a sudden all of my dog tags are gone. I thought it was an error on my part. -
