Just to give some help,
I am not experienced on this kind of events, that is why I am not offer me to participate on it but, after read the whole post, one comment:
SCHEDULE: Important, it defines who can participate and who not. If you want most US teams, 8:00pm EST non-workable day will be good. If you want to give chance to EU teams to participate 5:00pm EST is better (10:00pm UK time, 1:00pm WST) so you guarantee more participation.
If it gonna be a two days event, Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday are the logical picks (pratically everyone everywhere work on Mon to Fri, 9 to 5.....).
As [MOD]Fizzed saids, you establish the date, try to make a poll gonna be hard and cumbersome.
I am still wondering what is the "caster" role description?.....
I figured out that requires "hardware power" to record the matches, thing that I do not have actually, that is why I am not offer me for the role.....:p
In any case I will be pending on, and making "underground marketing" of the event........

We're currently looking for some casters and about the time we will discuss it later on in skype ;p I live in the EU as well, In my opinion it's fair to let NA and EU teams participate on normal times. -
Obviously poseidon needs to decide wether he wants the tourney to be NA or UK. If he wants both, hes gunna have to blow a lot of money. If he chooses to do both, have separate tournies under one admin; Na tourney and an Uk tourney. (Time zones may also come into affect.)

That is to be honest his choice since I live in the EU, I prefer host the tournament in the UK. -

If you want to host a tourney of your own with the same rule set as poseidon then do so. You can do a UK side meanwhile poseidon does an NA side. Just the prize money will come out of you're wallet not poseidons.

I will be paying the reward funds, an option may be made to host two separate tourneys, under my jurisdiction. Winners will be named for bloth but the value of the rewards will go down...
