It's disappointing but this goes to show that if you practice and work hard, it pays off. In all honestly, I saw Socks on every night (at least that I was on) practicing and taking every opportunity to practice. I wouldn't be able to say the same about Carbon. Great players and a great team but practice makes perfect. Another factor would be that they didn't have any inconsistency in rosters. I think two big factors that allowed Socks to come out to the top. I obviously was rooting for Carbon and based on experience, I thought they would take it. Great job to both teams and congrats to Socks.
Now the roster stuff:
Even though it could be seen as sarcasm, I really hope they don't decide to change their line up because they are still a strong team. -
I'd say famous may have not contributed as much as his teammates in terms on frags but he probably did help his team a lot.
Even if he didn't play so well at lan, he played fairly well during the online qualifiers.
he didnt do that good in the qualifiers -
poor famous, everyone is bashing him now, maybe he did not frags but lit people up ? Lower enemies hp so his teammates can frag easier ? I heard he's the strat-caller so maybe he was so stress in calling strat and cant focus on aiming, either way great match .
p.s : Im not famous fan js, Im Nova's secret admire -

This is bs.
Neither team really started practicing hard until maybe a month or less before today. Both teams have inconsistencies on their rosters. It was really a question of who could out suck the other team (with the exception of a few well executed rounds). -

the two cns players were great all the way through. brando made some big plays. but famous didn't contribute anything except for 1 round.
What match were you watching?
Nova was the most consistant followed by brando,
Compaired to what ghandi normally does on lan, he did not play very well -
famous gets 3k round 1
8 rounds later has 4 frags
i was calling it out on mumble from the beginning, Carbons problem was that they couldnt consistently frag. teamwork is important, but frags win games
socks main players at fault were 15ol (did so bad for what ppl hyped him up to me as), pablo (u play so so stupidly, u have the gamesense of a rock), and maveloff (again not living up to the hype). fortunately, they each had a redeeming half or 2, and carbon underperformed against them -

You don't realize that Ralf_ and I were on Carbon about 2 to 3 months ago. We had a VERY strong team.
Then one day I get on and I had been replaced, as well as Ralf.
Then a few weeks go by and the roster changed AGAIN.
They asked me to play with them once more (as I was a backup at that point). I scrim, play a few matches, help them with a tournament. After that I got replaced again, by Albert. At which point who only practiced with the team maybe 2-3 days. Also Brando could not tell me why he wanted me off the roster. No one could. They cut me for no apparent reason. After all I had helped them.
Cut forward a few more weeks, Nova is on the team.
Roster changed ALOT.
You can't get better over a long period of time if you keep changing the roster.
Just my few cents. Never saw Team3d or Complexity change their roster constantly, or as frequent as CF teams do.
If you want a great team, you have to work through the issues. You can't just cut people and expect mistakes will get better. If you can't grow as a team, you will die. -

The truth -

Maybe if people in carbon weren't scumbags things would be different.
