Ocg casting good or bad?

I felt that Konrad and Ha talked over eachother a lot and if they plan on casting again be sure not to use offensive language because you're supposed to talk in a professional manner but the guy who casted fly society and flawless was amazing, not sure who he is exactly but definately did a great job and looking forward to more casts by him

Alan tilt was the caster. Too bad the streamer was flat out horrible.andrewpillow wrote: »If only we could find a streamer with a decent computer, and half a brain
Yea it was Alan "tilt" who caster to beginning of the finals. He had to leave unfortunately.
As for me streaming, there was no issues on my end. Twitch was having latency issues. Even the twitch chat was having problems. My setting were as low as I could make it (360p @ 1500bitrate). I usually do it at 720p @ 3500bitrate.
When testing the stream, twitch graded it with an excellent rating which is the highest you can have. Many people had problems with twitch last night.
I do apologize for the inconvenience, but it was out of my control. -

Pretty sure its on your end, my stream was fine, LoL championship stream was fine, robertxlee stream was also fine. -

Nope.
So you're telling me that the chat was timing out because of me too?
Some people could see it totally fine but for others it was bad. -

i think people don't like your spectating/random talking during the cast
correct me if i'm wrong -

I personally hate his spectating, three times I clutched a 1vX situation and twice I was a part of a 2vX clutch yet I was never viewed. sadface -

I follow you froztee. The first day we casted it was a lot better than the 2nd. We had casted an overall of 10+ hours straight on saturday.. Sunday we were both tired and just were completely unaware of the mistakes we were making. Thank you for the criticism, i'll be sure to keep that in mind the next time around I cast. -
^
you need someone who actually plays the game (ck) to stream plz
What does that have to do with it?
I have been told by many people I did an amazing job. Alot more positive feedback than bad.
I have viewed a large majority of streams done for CFNA ranging from WCG, WOGL and other tournaments. Just about each one has missed big plays. So don't trying to find a scapegoat when something doesn't go as you liked. I'm not perfect at what I do but I am still improving. I have taken criticism and adjusted the way I spectate but people always give me mixed opinions on what is best. You may not like what you saw but others did like it. I just can't win. -

pretty much this
hopefully we will coordinate our casting a lot more, to sound better
thanks for the feedback tho -

Your streaming is pretty terrible, I seriously doubt a majority of the feedback you've gotten was saying it was great. -

aside from you pronouncing "jeden" wrong every time, you rarely spectate the lms as logic said
let the casters cast, you're there just to stream -

What hes trying to say is at least coordinate your streaming with that of the caster, don't view someone in sitting in middle while theres a ton of action happening elsewhere. -

When did I ever mention chat timing out? I was talking about stream, I was watching LoL championship all day, 0 problems. Watched Robertxlee, 0 problems. Evelyn Lin's lvl 3 LoL games, 0 problems -

Well when there are no casters to be found, I have to step in and do it myself.
For casters we had
-Ha
-Konrad
-Tilt
-it
Even with all of them, there was times no one was available to do it.Drpeck3rable wrote: »If people used to learn the free cam, there would be alot less missed plays.
Nope, I had too many people QQing like in this thread about the free cam. They just wanted to stay on 1st Person.
But you see, this is the issue we are facing. You say this, someone else says that.
If you want to stream a match, go do it yourself and stop complaining. Starting to sound like a washed up team claiming they have won many tournaments yet they have nothing to show for themselves.
As I said before, I am not perfect and no one is. But there is a reason why WCG Canada approached me to Stream Nationals for them. -

I'm talking about when someone's casting and then you randomly say a useless comment like "wow a sensational shot from andre" and just interrupt them -

The anger that comes out of you from a simple suggestion. And I would stream if my internet was capable of it. -

It's funny how incapable purvis is at taking advice.
From watching your casts, this is my criticism:
-you're a streamer, not a caster; stop randomly interrupting people to talk about how sensational a shot was
-spectate lms... multiple times logic was in a 1v2/1v3 etc and you spectated the team with more people. nobody wants to see the team thats doing absolutely nothing except waiting for the opponent to push
-spectate what the casters are talking about/spectate where the action is. for whatever reason you constantly spectated people that were around nobody instead of where the action was. use your minimap more if youre missing where the plays are being made
probably other things but Im sure someone else listed/will list them -

I just get flabbergasted at what people say sometimes.
I didnt mean to respond to you in a harsh way.
If you watch some of the CFCN videos, they do alot of free cam. When I first started to stream matches, that is what I did but CFNA players dont like that for some reason. There is alot of things I can do differently and hopefully I can find a way to please everyone.
For those who are mad at me missing the big plays, I'm sorry. I streamed 8 hours Saturday and 5 hours Sunday, so I was getting tired. I tried to get the POV of everyone but I cant watch everyone at the same time. -

Most of the people have just bashed me, calling me terrible. How is that advice?
You are right, I am not a caster. But like you said, view the action and when the caster doesnt see or talk about the action, I will say something like any other co-caster would do. -

nope, i'm pretty sure people are giving you specific instances in which your spectating was sub par -

There's nothing wrong with free cam, but you can't just be all profligate with it. A lot of the time you just end up looking at empty space at weird angles, when it would make more sense to just watch a player's POV. So, free cam occasionally, but it shouldn't be done too much. -

Thats what I try to go for previously but it got turned down. Ill try to stream a few matches like that. I have a list of all of the free cam spots on 3 maps so far, trying to make more.
