Hack Report Adjustments - Coming Soon
Attention Mercenaries,
We have been listening to your feedback and we want to communicate today that we are working on making some adjustments to the hack report process.
As many of you are aware, we have recently changed our support page to a much better system. While there have been some bumps in the road with the transition the system learns over time and we're getting better each day with response times and support issues.
The transition to this system did however make some changes to the hack report process. We want to inform you of where we're headed and what we plan on doing.
Lastly, we would like to remind our users that we seek out, report hacks and update our systems on a nearly daily basis. We ban hundreds and thousands of users every day through X-Trap and HGW, and we review as many reports as we can given our staff and time. Lastly, our account creation restrictions are in full swing and we filter/deny/restrict alternates and proxy's all the time. We see the data and know it's working, despite what the general perception might be.
We are constantly working towards the goal of cleaning the game of hackers as best as possible. Thanks very much for your understanding and loyalty for the best f2p Shooter on the net!

The transition to this system did however make some changes to the hack report process. We want to inform you of where we're headed and what we plan on doing.
First off, we are making some adjustments to the upload speeds and times. We are aware that people are having issues uploading replay files, we want to correct this as best as possible and will be looking to make these changes soon to allow more users to upload replay files.
In addition, we used to force a replay file with every report, and since the changes to the new support system this was expanded to include other things like documents and images. However, for hack reports these things are considered spam and we can't act on them so we will be making sure to force the upload of replays when submitting a hack report.
Secondly, we'll be updating our old filter system to the new hack report section. This old system was able to filter reports by certain categories and allow for efficient banning of hackers. Since the changes to the support site some of the new filters have been ineffective, so we will be reverting those. This is back-end stuff but this is where we are headed.
We will also be looking to add a specific button for reporting hackers again on the main support site. This can hopefully direct users more clearly to the area to report a hacker.
All of these changes are and will be taking place internally but we wanted to let you know that we are watching feedback and taking the necessary steps to ensure that we create an efficient and effective way to report a hacker in game.In addition, we used to force a replay file with every report, and since the changes to the new support system this was expanded to include other things like documents and images. Why not just simplify the report?
Remove "Current Register Email" as it's useless, what does account verification have to do with hack reports? It just seems an easy way to deny some reports and to waste players time typing it out. So what if the account making the report is scammed?
"Rounds that Hacking Occurred" - Should be simplified many still don't get this after years, although it is another way to decline many reports for being inaccurate?
"Time when Hacking Occurred" - Many think this in-game time, it should specify replay time. -

Current Registered Email is a verification for us to eliminate spam reports.
This happens for all tickets.
When you show up to work every morning and are staring at 1782 tickets we need to find ways to eliminate the spam and useless tickets we can't handle so that we can improve our response time.
This helps because forcing users to enter information will stop a ticket that looks like this:"plz get my plz"Which yes, was a hack report submitted to us on the 14th and does nothing but slow our response times down.
The other numbers are also just ways for us to filter priority level. Sometimes they matter, sometimes they don't. The time for example, is just a way to add further information, but we're not looking at a replay and saying "oh this guy only put round 1 and no time so we aren't going to look at it." -

I appreciate you get very many, there are a lot of cry babies in game, however wouldn't the "plz get my plz" guy simply enter his email address and spam you? or wouldn't he know the email?
I don't see how it eliminates spam, it may eliminate reports coming from accounts that are scammed and lessening the work load that way.
However being a scammed account doesn't mean the report is invalid or not of an hacker, and just because an account is scammed doesn't mean a hacker should get a way.
A better way of accessing a report might be verifying the actual input of the report.
Auto check if the IGN is accurate (simply query to DB if not drop the report)
Check rounds is less than 150 (for TDM) (Simple code if more than 150 = drop the report)
Check the time is less than the max possible for a game (Simple code if more than the max = drop the report)
Make the text of a report a required field and check that for English (Simple code to run it through a translator)).[GM]Saidin wrote: »The other numbers are also just ways for us to filter priority level. But surely accurate reports are better for expediency?
The form should read:
Number of rounds that Hacking Occurred (How many rounds was the accused using hacks?).
Replay time when Hacking Occurred (The most obvious in which hacking can be seen). -

I completely agree with this. Especially the IGN auto check and making the text more understand. -

To have thousands of noobs more who click on your "report" button?
Nah, that´d mean that they get even more work. -

Like Saidin said they get too many now, every cry baby would report the ace and several other players. -

While we appreciate you telling us what we can and cannot do. Let me address a few things here.
IGN Check was taken away from the new support system, we are looking to implement it, but it's not a feature right now that the new system can handle. It may be something we have to live with, but we are looking at ways around it. Note that in the past we did do this and are working towards that goal again.
In regards to entering in information, with all do respect, we do have data here that shows the number of spam tickets decreases when users are forced to input any information. Yes, that means they still spam, yes that means we need to figure out further ways to do it. But a hack report is more likely to be accurate when information is being forced to enter. Any information, and that is coming from hundreds of data points and metrics we have here which we use.
It's appreciated that you have better ways to report hackers for yourself, however the data we have doesn't always support such actions.
The rounds and time could be entirely dropped from the report, since it's not a data point we use at the moment for priority level. We are working on higher priority functions with the system.
You have to understand that the new support system is it's own site. And things cannot be just flipped on and off at ease, we have to integrate old functions we had into the new portion of the site. This post was to simply inform users that we are doing so. -
Very good job Saidin. But it should be better that z8games put some minor thing inside of this game. Ingame hack report. Cuz i know 2 fps games that use that kind of system and i think that Crossfire should also step on that kind of evolution
I dont ask it now, but it would be best in future that you ask developers to try that part. It's not like that we are asking so much. This is just simple little thing. -

Which seems odd because if the report goes through all your checks as being valid then the only things a reviewer would have is:- The knowledge the reporter is from a legitimate account holder/creator.
- The IGN of the accused.
- The type of hack being used.
Is the reviewer going to watch the whole replay, fast forward until they can spot this IGN? This to me would seem to be a bottleneck in actually reviewing reports.
It seems to me a field would be better to be added that says "When did the hacker enter the game", and "number of rounds he hacked" and "time where it's most obvious he hack" - would be beneficial to the reviewer rather than IGN and hack type only.
Anyways just helping you folks out. - The knowledge the reporter is from a legitimate account holder/creator.

Support site down?
I tried the new reportsystem for the first time. First of all: Where do we report scammers?
also: a cffr-file is needed for hakkers, but for scammers only screenshots work? Why upload a cfr when reporting a scammer?
Anyway. I Went to support pages and filled in the report, added a random cfr-file (including hakkers) and added a bmp-image file showing the ongoing chat conversation with the scammer. BUT, a problem occured when pressing "submit". After a few seconds I get a message that "Cant connect to support.z8games.com".
Question: Is the support down?

Why? That quote made perfect sense.... You post, however, did not.ZenithAnnul wrote: »Great... I have no idea what my E-mail is. This sure helps me to report hackers and use support. -.-
Not their problem. Suspicious you dont know it though.
Did you use a fake email or buy the account? Or have like a million email accounts??? Either way its not very clever is it?
You can recover your email. -
Why don't you try this method?A new Flag system, beside ur name in the game.(just like VIP logo)
which means:
A green flag for ppl who own Honorable ribbon.
A yellow flag for ppl swearing or pay issue.
A red flag for ppl who were using ha.ck tool etc.
So we kno who was a ha.ck, and kik them right away.
And also we should able creat a room only allow green flag and yellow flag in.
just like add one more check box as ha.ck free mode (like shootgun mode , but now its ha.ck free mode)
.
Plus after 1 yr, if that account did nothing wrong, they will gain their honorable ribbon back.
give everybody a chance to play legit.
by this way. ha.ck wont play in game anymore.
how u guys think?
If z8 Game take my ideas , Can u guys plz give me some free zp as reward !!!
