Well its a growing partnership. We don't get massive amounts of money or gear right a way. We start with a mumble server and affiliation. If things go well with the partnership of Undaunted and OCG and the team is doing well they will help us how they feel appropriate IE Shirts, Gear, Funding if possible. You can't expect everything right away. Its a building sponsorship. nobody in their right mind would throw money at a newly sponsored team. They have told us as we build we could get much more than just tshirts but we aren't expecting it all immediately as there is no reason for them to start giving us things at this point in time. -

You are right, sponsorships are a two way street and it would be silly of them to start putting money into your team right off the bat. However, sponsorships are usually a mutual agreement where both parties gain something. I don't see how OCG is gaining anything from sponsoring Undaunted so I don't see them putting money into your team in the foreseeable future. I wouldn't feel bad though because it would be the same song and dance if they sponsored a team like Socks, except Socks would be a great acquisition and would benefit OCG a lot, problem is OCG wouldn't be able to provide any benefits for them.
Picking up a team that you know for a fact won't do well in tournaments so you wont have to make up excuses as to why you don't support them financially is smart, bravo.

In my opinion, I don't think that leagues should affiliate a team because if the team is participating in their league, it would become a conflict of interest for the league.
Well the difference is they aren't just a league. They are also an organization for gaming as well as a business so from the aspect of a gaming organization it is easy to see why they picked up a team. I can see your concerns, but if you look back at past events you can see no OCG former team has had an easy bracket or a stacked bracket in their favor, and OCG plans to still keep us un-involved in the tournament creation process. They are here to support our teams goals, not make them easier for us to obtain.
