Possible Tournament, let me know what you think

Its Konrad, and I thought of a new tournament for the pub scene.
A lot of debate has been going on lately on what the best pub clan is, and most of this has just sparked old conflicts and arguments. So why not settle this in a prolonged tournament, 5v5 SnD, on the most played maps.
Some of the things I'm interested in knowing, would you guys want to do a Round Robin, which usually takes a longer time, or a simple Single-Elimination/Double Elimination tournament, which can be over in as soon as 1 month.
Another thing I'm interested in is about how many clans would sign up for this, and how many would stay throughout the end. I know Veracity would sign up and stay, and so would In Theory, but I'm not sure about the rest of yall.
I would want this tournament to be fair for all, thats why I personally favor the double-round-robin option, where everyone plays eachother twice and the winner is shown through the standings, but if a lot of people want to do this a different way, then that would be up to them.
Note: Bandicam/Fraps/Growler will be used, and you will have to record at atleast 10fps/10q.
Furthermore, I dont want anyone getting excited as this is the wee planning stages and probably wont start up until August.

Ah, forgot about that, will edit in a secSo if this is about "pub clans" ill assume anything allowed? Items,char,wepons,ect ect? I mean after all you cant really tell whos the best if you don't let them use What they are used to. Jw not trying to troll.
I was thinking a really relaxed ruleset.
Body armor is allowed, head armor is not
All guns except full wallbang
Smoke/Flash is alright
Girls are okay apart from SPOP and the smoke one -

10, 8 as main, 2 as sub.

Don't really matter. Would be better if you were to have map rotation or something. Maybe you could even go with random.

Would probably encourage more people to play but I personally dont care.

Well, good luck i won't play, because I blow. Im pretty sure my clan would like to part take in this (WeAreLegion). I do have a proposition about the the way the team works. How about anyone who is in the clan can participate, but who ever wins let the leader decide on his clans top 5 players or MVP's to recive the prize. I mean its not really proving whos the better clan overall if the top players just plays against each other. It also makes it easier for matches to be done i guess. Just a thought most likely clans will still use top players, but just incase they missing one just pick someone up. Ik people will be like "they need to pratice together" but who cares yolo. -

-Just pub clans, no competitive teams. Clans that play E8 sometimes would obviously be allowed. Max 2 true competitive players on the roster

-Allow everything except Kriss/M12s/M14EBR/Thompson/Head armor (refer to the ruleset of this post)
tl;dr extremely casual ruleset like in CFCN, round robin tournament, 10 players per roster, and no completely competitive clans. -

If the tournament is to decide who's the best pub clan, round robin and only pub clans. If it's just a tournament for fun, you should also allow competitive teams and make it double elimination.
As for gunset:- wall bang guns are fine, no reason to disallow it
- guns like m12s/thompson/kriss should not be allowed, m14ebr would be fine
- Why no SPOP? Only difference between that and STAR is you can see SPOP through smoke

Actually I agree, only 1 competitive player should be allowed.
All chars except JTF should be allowed considering JTF reduces smoke affect. -
Body armor will be allowed.
Head armor will not be allowed.
Wallbang guns are still open to discussion.
Maps will be voted on later
JTF will not be allowed, and SPOP is still open for discussion
I feel that people play with armor in clan server so much that it becomes part of the idea.No armor at all if you are trying to see who is the best clan imo.
Its going to be allowed. Head armor will not however.
And yeah, 1 truly competitive player per team.

10k zp for starting 5 always seems to keep people happy

Current trend ok (no wall bang, no m12/kriss/tommy), but I would prefer no female characters
Define "true competitive player". I was in WCG in 2011, ESL, and CSN (ESG once as well?), but I hardly call my self a full competitive player. -

Since it's a pub competition, all maps should be allowed. However, Spain and Festival are the two maps that I strongly dislike. The former map makes my fps dip a bit

Having rank restriction would eliminate some of the alts, but dq a lot of actual players pending where the bar was set.
Having a minimum clan size and minimum age of clan I think could help in weeding out some alts too.

DQ the wall bang and few smgs sounds good. Or else we will have a lot of pats n ebrs running around... all though that would be fun to see. The pubsters who are convinced they are better by using gp only vs the zp users who could care less what someone else uses. -

Single Round Robin with top 8 teams advancing too a seeded single elimination (seeds will matter, ties on seeds will be randomized).
