  • Not every "troll" is beyond salvation. Zaref (Rutherford) is now a respectable forumer, although he was very annoying at first.

Respected forumer? That's stretching it. And Zaref didn't even take it that far, just some simple but annoying little acts. I have much more to say but let's keep this thread on topic!

    1. The community needs to work on dealing with conflicts the correct way. Most forumers would reply back with an insult instead of reporting the troll.

    2. Since I can't think of anything else, the forums are a wonderful place to converse with other players!
  • Comon people we need more posts ! We have more prizes to give away :)
  • Since I can't think of anything else, the forums are a wonderful place to converse with other players!

Yes the forums can be a wonderful place, but a lot of times when the discussion gets heated not only is there a bit of rule breaking but also MODs sometimes jump the gun to close it off before it gets way out of proportion without giving time or a chance for it to cool down. I think a few of the more vocal forumers seem to me high school kids with disproportionate egos. With their arrogance it does bring down some polite conversational attitude.

I'm not trying to advocate a philosophical setting here... of course there will be blood on the streets sometimes... but when the trolling starts... well it seems to not want to stop. I'd admit that I do feel the bloodlust during those trolling frenzy's.

I guess another thing is to be able to differentiate wit and insult. To not always take offense to what's being said. This is the internet for crying out loud!

Well as with any beginning it was tough. I myself was grinding my teeth over a few stuff he did. But that did not compare to the reaction of other forumers here who tried to harrass him.
Nowadays it looks like he's calmed down a bit, and broaden his views from just repetitive posting in certain areas to actually partaking in conversation. Not bad, not bad at all.

I agree, because it's the internet, people think they're unreachable and therefore can satisfy their ego without any chance of backdraft, so they just keep going at it and never back down. This will most likely never change, and it's the same with every big community, I'm just glad we're not at YouTube's point.

Sorry, but he is still annoying. He post only less because of school, or something in this direction. ;)
  • Maybe i'm not very active in forum but my answers are:

1.Moderators just give the correct answer on a thread, i want to see mods who creating a thread like this and ask people opinion about next patch or how they can make us happy, is not late.(poll is a good choise)example

2.They're responding very quickly, trying to explain how it works and what you should do if you have a problem, which is a good thing.
  • 'i wrote:

My gawd lol, thats why I have subsections...Just read the rules lol.

    Here is a summary.

  • Well.. support got some problems
1.Community Support should be improved for "hacking report" category , you have to wait to much for an answer.
2.The good thing is that support will answer you in max 2 days for any other category.
  • do we forget about crossfire.z8games.com? maybe some improvements?
1.Guides is too old,Home page too , no new guns and no new characters.
They made some changes exp needed for each level at rank and is still old.
Top clans and players back with 1-2 years ?
2.Patch content and maybe events are updating each month, that's why we visit the page!
  • @Golden

This is nothing related to how the game can be improved in general or how well they're doing, lol.

improves the community maybe lol? Easier for people to access stuff xD
  • Funny thing is lol, I just wanted people to help give out ideas on how to improve the community, but then it just became a Mod rating lol..
  • Mhm.

    Great sounds good :)
  • The community as well as Z8 are making events that are fun for the game like this raffle for example. It gets people interested in getting people back to playing CF
  • 1. GMs/MODs aren't very speedy when it comes to announcements about server issues and etc.

    2. MODs/GMs do a pretty nice job of keeping their figure when it comes to hateful comments.

COmon guys, You have to give Frozen Syther here some competition...He already has 6 posts = 6 cards :p

    quality > quantity my friend
  • I think on a small-time scale a new CF trailer would be nice. The most recent one was for Crater and I think it was great. It doesn't even have to be like an epic thing... something imaginative and a few hours with a video editor and idk... something "magical" O.o

Promoting the good times within CF may keep the good times rolling on through!
  • 1. GMs/MODs aren't very speedy when it comes to announcements about server issues and etc.

Pretty commonly this is on purpose for a few reasons.

    1) They're busy focusing on the issue trying to get it fixed as soon as possible.

    2) We tend to refrain from posting certain information until we have more information about the issue and a possible solution.

    3) These kind of issues also tend to happen when staff is off-duty.

Keep up the criticism guys, I'll try to respond to some more when I get some time.
  • 1. The community doesn't really give informative criticism towards threads or MODs without going too far.

    2. The community does a nice of informing people about different things when no MODs are available.
  • 1) The Community vs. The Mods instead of The Community & The Mods. That should change.

    2) People should trust other forumers when those forumers help others, instead of "okay thanks but I want to hear it from a MOD"

Thanks Rex, I really appreciate it, this is what I am trying to lean towards to,

Then when everyone changes, hopefully the community will become a better place :)
  • Thank-you Rutherford for a great question.

For people who do not know how to play Texas holdem All you do is earn cards.

I will help you pick the largest possible hand.

So don't need to worry anyone can Participate :)
  • Interesting event...but I'm afraid I don't have the time to create so many posts to collect a unique hand of 5 cards...

I wish everyone participating the best of luck, surely this event will raise some awareness of what needs to be done to improve this community.
  • 1. The community really needs to stop jumping to conclusions. Because of this horrible comments are being said, arguments are breaking out, and just senseless drama...

    2. The support team actually does a pretty nice job considering their workforce.

Nice thanks! That's what I wanted to hear!

Gonna do that sometime then. :)

Even with only 2 cards, you can have a pair.

I see what you're talking about, but sometimes it's hard not to jump to conclusions, fortunately the GM team is there (with other members) to set things straight. We humans are naturally suspicious (because deceiving), you can't expect us to trust people so easily.
  • 1) I've been playing CF since 09 so I guess i'd consider myself a Vet. for this game but in all that time I've rarely see any MODs or GMs in game other than events like MOTG2 or any of the golden gun bashes. I do realize that they are probably busy doing other things but for me its always been fun to see and/or kill a MOD.
    2) Even though my post count is low I do peruse the forums quite a bit and I do see the MODs working diligently, keeping the arguing down and the rules upheld. I guess i'm saying GJ and goodluck in the future.
