hackers indication

  • Rather than a blatant symbol in-game on the player leader board, how about an "Account Standing" level on their in-game profile?

Tell that to the thousands of players that were banned by X-trap because it picked up their Virus Detector as an injection program. AGV, was it?

There is no guaranty this won't happen again. With either AGV or some other piece of free software running in the background. You'll be wrongfully banned for 3 days, and then marked to be kicked from every room you enter for another 3 weeks, until someone has the time to sort things out and clear your name.

But then again, your name doesn't need clearing, now does it, Warhawk? You're quite fond of using hack injectors in this game. Especially that one you used to crash rooms whenever you left. How many accounts did you go through again? More than you can count on one hand, I suppose.

First of all, the scenario you mentioned in your first two paragraphs is incorrect, this never happened, and I've been here for ages, so don't try and say it has. I am also a player who has been using AVG since 2006, while playing Crossfire. If any such mishap did occur, the bans would be reverted immediately, and Honorable Soldier ribbons would be re-awarded.

Secondly, the fact that you're an ex-Moderator and accusing other players of using hacks is disgusting. You consistently talk about how you're older than us, how you're a teacher, how you are a grown up with a life, yet you're acting immature towards the community you're apart of. Please go away if you have nothing nice to say, and hopefully you remember the rules you're supposed to be foruming by, NO HACKUSATIONS.
  • I was banned on my main about 2 years ago for creating an alt account and trolling with it. Should I be labelled as a hacker?

Faulty system, if there is a way to know who the actual hackers are, simply permaban them..

Mabey if you looked through my post, i have already talked about this:

Also make sure that they only show that symbol when a player has had a ban from the autoban system, a few liars will come up in a few minutes saying "i got banned for trolling, insulting, chargeback" and -1 your idea.

    +1

Like i said, if they were banned wrongly, there ribbon would be rewarded back. If it does happen again they can look into the case, thats what they are here for right? OP's suggestion is good, like mine was but you were a butthurt MOD and closed the thread simply because you felt the need to.

Firstly, I am really sorry for what i did in the past (1.4 or more years ago) and how it might have affected the fun in your gameplay and many others. I also feel very sorry for you to bring this topic up as a way to insult me, but then again you are degenerate.

Secondly, an injector is not a hack. It is a program that does nothing more than injects a .dll file into an executable (crossfire). Hence the name injector, nevertheless it is still a 3rd party program.

Thirdly, I know i have done bad things in the past, but i've also done good things that you dont know about! Who else do you think got that "room crash" exploit with certain guns/cheats patched? Who else do you think got secret hacking sites compromised by the X-trap/GM team, who else do you think linked cheat programs to mods once they were updated? (well i dont report sites/cheats so much often now, only becasue im busy farming!)

People can change, history does not have to repeat its self unless you choose it to. Sadly this is not evident in you, you still repeat your history. Keep writing in pink thinking you are a female, keep rocking that barbie doll thinking you are. We all understand you are abit gender confused, david.

I am a legit player like the huge percentage of us on Cross Fire! I would like to finish it off with this quote:

just yesterday we received word from a brand new community advocate (someone who decided to turn a new leaf for once) about a bunch of working hacks.

All the hacks that were submitted through this person had all been picked up and detected either by xtrap (to not allow them in) or by HGW (to kick/ban when detected). And these were hacks with updates that were in less than 24 hours.
  • People don't change, Warhawk. You're still the same despicable excuse for human filth this game/forum can do without. Your post above has proven that yet again. Even if you have turned legit (which I doubt you have), you're still a troll out to ruin people's fun. The fact that you insist on calling me Dave, David or whatever, is proof of that.

I am not the one who constantly trys to insult me hoping i can "troll" them back. Every thread i post in you will try your best to find a way to quote me and try to make fun of me, but its not working! If you wasnt such an ass, you would have found out that I'm a nice person.

This goes for you; "Treat others how you expect to be treated"
  • What if you get those "Hack Tool Detected" errors? Seems like a good idea though..

I do believe it was you who quoted me in here, Warhawk. Not the other way around. You didn't need my help to put you up to your usual trolling. You managed to do that, as always, all on your own.

And if you were a nice person, I wouldn't be such an ass to you. Nice people on this forum have seen a whole other side of me that trolls like you will never get to see. To people like you I'll always be that spiteful b*tch posting in pink that you think you can hurt by calling her Dave.

stay on topic or talk in pm ^

i like the idea easier way to spot hackers (but maybe not putting it there for chargeback etc cause even though they wont have hounerable they dont cheat)

My post was on topic, showing you that you were wrong i never insulted you did i? i was talking about hack tool detections

Your reply was bringing up my past, now who here started this? Just like on the past threads where [MOD]Nonnen removed our posts, and many many more.

In this one case you are right, and my apologies for that. But because there is so much bad blood between us, and plenty of other threads where it wasn't me that started, you can hardly expect from me just to forgive and forget your past discretions. Especially the ones you made personal.
  • Other way to help people separate haackers and pros is to show 'honorable soldier' ribbon ingame, instead of the badge. Surely this should be optional.

Not everyone that got banned for hacks tried to use it themselves.
Some german got into my account and purposefully used a detected rack to get me banned.

Still, z8games can also remove the ribbon if you have payment issues. Not everybody without Honorable Soldier is a hacker (even though I generally don't trust those people either).

    best regards,

    Explanational/proval link?
Guys, the main idea here is to let low experienced people distinguish ha-ckers from skilled players, and to help players faster identify ha-cker. Stop searching for weak places :) Better help to produce best solution.

The two aspects of the problem:
    1. I (as many other players) get kicked at least 5 times per day just for playing better then others in the room.
    2. It takes some time (several rounds) to understand, if suspicious guy is ha-cking or he's just good.

Your honorable soldier ribbon is removed when the account is closed or suspended pending investigation for any reason. That includes chargebacks/payment complications.

Anyway, everyone here has expressed their appreciation for the idea, but those people have also mentioned how it is not very practical.

Honestly, it's just an over-complicated version of the honorable soldier ribbon, and will create more hate and tension rather than solve any problems.

I get hate just for being "suspicious" because I don't have my Honorable Soldier ribbon. People would get kicked immediately for having a notification of a recent ban.

Also, this doesn't really help your point. People cheat and don't get caught. Someone in the room could be cheating and not have that notification.

It won't help in you getting kicked, it will just result in a HUGE increase in unnecessary/unwarranted kicks.
  • why to reward cheaters with a cute sign *..* ... -1
  • There are a lot of people who hacked that are legit now but once hacked. Isaac for an example, actually there are 2 who used to be in my clan that hacked once before.

Totally agree with this guy, though I have never and will never hack. This will be like a label and they will never be able to play a fun game when they keep getting kicked.

How did he get into your account though?

OT: I think this is a bad idea because people can change. Many good players today have hacked in the past so I don't think a display of someone's past will help another distinguish between whether he/she hacks or does not.
