French first to use poison gas:(26mm grenades) xylyl bromide on Germans in 1914, used to stop German troops from marching thru Belgium & into NE France
First German use of chemical gas -> Battle of Bolimov, w/ 18,000 artillery shells of xylyl bromide tear gas on Russians on Rawka River
Poison gas used more as irritant than as killer -> became answer to war's lack of mobility.
First openly and deliberately used in offense @ Battle of Ypres in April 1915 - French thought yellow cloud was a smokescreen so prepared a frontline outside of trenches..... DEVASTATION!
By late 1915 both British England and Germany used pressurized cylinders to fire chlorine; risk of wind blowing back into home team (2,000 casualties for English b/c of wind)
  • I'd like to suggest a VIP grenade, the Grenade Obsidian Beast. I'd like it to look like the Wide Grenade with Obsidian modeling, and with an Obsidian Dragon head on the top of the grenade with the fiery tongue sticking out of the dragon's mouth to act as the pin that you pull to activate the grenade. When the grenade explodes it should have an animation of Obsidian shards flying out of the explosion. In soldier vs soldier modes it should have the power of a Wide Grenade, in Mutation it should have the power of a Mutation Grenade, and in Zombie Mode it should explode on impact and have the power of the Gold Grenade.

The Golden Knife dream lives on. <3

Damn, maybe I should spend some time next year to revamp this thread and compile an updated, expanded list of actual suggestions. If I have time next year or something, I'll try haha.

I really prefer original suggestions, so definitely not something like a vip grenade or reskinned thrown weapon. We know they are a possibility, but the whole purpose of this thread from the start was to promote ideas for new additions of guns that we don't have yet. And believe it or not, some of what we've suggested has made it into the game.

I created this thread long before the release of VIPs, so we never anticipated VIPs to be released to us here at CF NA/UK.
  • I'd like the devs to make a Galil Ace rifle in CF. It comes in 7.62x39 and .308, both rifle and pistol/sbr format. The 7.62x39 version accepts AK-47 magazines but it's much more accurate than an AK.

Here's a video from Shot Show 2015 showcasing the 7.62x39 16-inch barrel rifle:

  • The Classics.

    Thompson M1A1 Submachinegun.
Submachinegun used frequently in WW2 by American soldiers.
    Image: http://www.thespecialistsltd.com/files/Thompson-M1A1.jpg
Ammo: 30/90 or 20/60 (depending on what would be more balanced, 30 would probably be better)
    Damage: Similar to MP5.
    Firerate: Same as normal Thompson.
    Accuracy: Same as MP5
    Recoil: Low-Medium
Weight: Lighter than regular Thompson, probably same as MP5.
    Reload: 3 seconds.
Pro(s): Lighter and easier to control than crate Thompson.
    Con(s): Much less magazine size.
I think it would be great as a GP shop variant to the Thompson crate gun. And it's always nice to see a classic gun.
    The M1 Garand.
Semi-automatic rifle used as the primary weapon for WW2 soldiers.
    Image: http://www.thespecialistsltd.com/files/M1_Garand.jpg
Damage: 35-25 (no wallbang) 100 headshot.
    Ammo: 8/56
Reload: 2 seconds, no reloading mid clip.
    Firerate: Same as PSG1.
    Weight: Same as AK
    Recoil: Very low
    Accuracy: High.
Pro(s): High accuracy and good damage.
Con(s): Lower magazine size, cannot reload mid clip. (If you have 2 rounds left, you'll have to expend those 2 before you can reload again. To keep the gun realistic this is necessary. This is also why the reload is very fast).
I probably didn't make these very well, or at least not to the same quality of other suggestions on this thread, but I hope I've made good suggestions and people like them. Would appreciate help with editing these if anyone wants to do that.
