CFL Drafts - Suggestions? Thoughts?
As you all know, we here at CFL are working hard to add new additions to the league and other small events on the side to have more things to look forward to! 
With my prior experience in holding drafts, I would love to bring it back since nobody is currently hosting any.
My thoughts on rules:
- CFL Rules apply but all weapons listed below would be modified.
- We are in the process of trying to get a Ventrilo & Mumble Server, dedicated to the league. We would use Ventrilo & would require it for the drafts.
Again, this is just a rough "draft" (get it? hehe) of what I'd like to do. I would like to see some other type of events held. I saw [MOD]Denxi posting a thread about Escape Mode; competitive matches. I think that it would definitely be fun to hold a draft for Escape Mode. Let me know of your thoughts and opinions about what we should do. Likes, dislikes, and suggestions! Thanks guys!

With this said, this will also give our users a chance to interact with people they may not know and make some new gaming friends!
- A map order will be determined by staff and posted as all teams complete each round to move forward.

I would have to talk to one of the Moderators about what guns can wall bang. I didn't know that the patriot was a wall bang gun or the royal. Thanks.The weapons with all variant sound fun but should exclude all wallbang gun like m4 patriot - royal etc. -
I'm sorry you have nothing better do and I understand your frustration, but if you have no suggestions in regards to this thread, stay off of it. Please and thank you.
1. Please explain why you would have to ask a FORUM MOD about wallbang guns as if regular players wouldn't be able to tell you that?
2. Why would you allow all character items and all variants of guns but not armor?
3. Stop with the holier than thou attitude. -
I don't know what all the fuss is about. It's a league run draft, why would you change it from league rules? It's mind boggling.
The reason for using different weapons is to create variety in our league. Drafts are meant for casual play. I would like to create a more flexible rule set for mini events and have a strict one for our competitive division.TTRRUUTTHH wrote: »Good point. -

I say make everything acceptable such as chars and chars variant including armour and also making all guns allowed meaning if team is using a wallbang gun the other team can also use a wallbang gun so i think it is a gread idea i support this! -

1. It's easier for us to ask Saidin for clarification on wall bang weapons (more direct contact). It's sometimes a hit or miss if his PM box will be full and he may not get to a PM that they send to him for that same clarification. That's all.
2. Point to be considered here CFL: Many times this issue was wrestled with in the past and if I can tell you one thing, be consistent. There is really is no middle ground. If by logic you allow all variants that are allowed (including ZP variants), then you are saying that pay-by-wallet items are being allowed. This includes armor. If you don't allow armor, you have to justify a reason outside of the "pay-by-wallet" or "not everyone can get it" reason seeing as you are allowing other ZP purchasable weapons, etc. Choose how you approach this carefully.I don't know what all the fuss is about. Sorry , not many people in the competitive division have wallbang guns such as patriot , royal , spring , m14 , etc and not many of us buy armor since we dont use them that much lool. -

WOGL had an escape mode draft one night. It was pretty fun, except the team I was on got knocked out really early so I don't know how it ended. -
I wasn't aware of that so that's good to hear. I'm glad that we have some exposure to the players through other old leagues and organizations. I loved hosting drafts and participating in them myself.
