EKS gaming is looking for a team

if your team are going to LAN that's preferable, not a necessity.

We've been around for a while and we're a multi-gaming organization.

Right now we're interested in a stable CF team.

  • Do they offer something beyond a simple mumble server now?

    just shut up please.
  • As a relativity small community,
our organization only grows if our popularity grows.

I do not have time for bashful comments, so I will just ignore them

We offer the best we can do at the moment and will do according so to our future players

I have trust in the management squad because the big boss has successful experience in managing teams. In the past he brought lots of sponsors to his community.
  • What does EKS stand for and which sponsors did they bring before? jw

  • I would like to know what the sponsor could provide

There are no real reasons to bring up the past unless insults were to be made.

He asked you what you as a sponsor would supply with a team. What does that have to do with the past? It's a simple question.

As of now, we can only supply you with a mumble server. If your team proves to be worth something, we will talk with the CEO to see if we can offer further benefits.

See that's an answer, I don't see why that was so hard to avoid.
  • Let's say Hammertime wanted to be sponsored by EKS.

    What would they get?
  • Tori and I talked to him. Pretty nice guy's. don't agree with some of the things he had to say, but gl to whoever decides to wanna play for em !

    pretty much.

eitherway, just wanted to see if it was that type of scenario what they could offer. a mumble server doesn't help a LAN team. even if it wasn't a lan team, wouldnt be considered a sponsor due to the fact a sponsor gives under contract for actual money, items, not just one mumble server to say you have this company as sponsor.. unless of course its from a Voice Communication Distributor themselves.

I just contacted them , they said if your team is show loyalty , commitment to toward EKS , like attend to LANs , achieve something in Tourneys , leagues they will provide you like free mice/keyboard/etc and stuff.

I don't know much about this area because I am pretty new, but this it what I think/been told is something like this:

the scenario would be different and we would have more items to offer.
If a team with a winning history (i.e. hammertime) decides to pair up with a sponsor the sponsor will go up to the big guys like fnatic and say 'hey, look at this team, do you want to be apart of their future (obviously not like that but along the lines)' and they say sure, instead of advertising we could ask for varies items, like headsets/mice/mouse pad/cash?

then again these are my 2 cents and since i'm new to this don't quote me. If you want to go into more detail you can talk to my CEO

heck I don't even know if i'm answering your question.

Sorta the same thing they said to us.

The loyalty he wanted us to show was we buy our own jerseys and put their logo on the back, lol. Kelp's a good guy, just don't know about this owner too much.

In all honestly I disagreed with some of the things he said, I wanted you guys to come board with us and I was really looking forward to it. I was even thinking of going out of my way to find a job for the funds you guys want. Too bad the only thing I need right now is time, which i'm lacking at this moment or else I would've gotten one.

Maybe there will be a next time, we just gotta wait and see ;)

Well.. for the fact that I don't think EKS has the proper knowledge yet for a gaming organization.

If I was in a distinguished team that is well known all over North America in ANY game, I wouldn't go for a sponsor that would make me PAY to put THEIR logo on my back. Wouldn't happen.

For the fact, sponsors sponsor. That's it. That's all. If he just wants a team to represent his organization, then that is not a sponsor that is representation.

Where does another sponsor come into play? You said 'the sponsor' would go up to another sponsor (fnatic in this situation as you said). A primary sponsor (which is something you label yourself as) does not become sponsored by another primary sponsor unless it's affiliated. You lost me after 'buy your own jersey'.

If a team already has advanced/updated gear such as mice, keyboards, headphones, computers, and all the other stuff - what would the sponsor offer then if LAN Fee's or Travel Expenses are the only two options.
  • The least you'd need to be able to do is pay for LAN/Travel expenses.

You're right i'm just a rookie learning the ropes under a CEO who has done stuff (and barely appears online). I'm prone to make a lot of mistakes. There is no better way than to learn from your mistakes. There are times where I have no idea what i'm talking about, i'm just winging it to the best I can do (isn't that what adulthood is all about?).

and there was no place or time that I stated that I wanted them to 'buy your own jersey' I was even willing to chip in but unfortunately stuff didn't swing the right way

That's what life is all about xD
  • Did this dude actually ask for people to buy their own jerseys and put his logo on the back?

not when you're 3 years old, I am a vanilla type of guy for ice cream. :P

Yes, because I went up to a team and said hey I want to sponsor you, and while we`re at it. You are going buy that jersey and have to add the logo on the back, sorry we can`t cover the cost....
