In order for a spot to be considered legal, it must conform to the following:
1. The spot must not provide use of a one-way mirror effect (A one-way mirror effect is when you are able to see/shoot through an object that is normally solid when viewed from the intended angle).
The few exceptions to this are when there is an unavoidable mirror effect due to the error of the map creator(s). Use proper judgement and do not exploit these mistakes.
2. The spot must be able to be reached without stacking more then two players on top of each other. To clarify, it is legal to stack two players in another area that was reach by initially stacking two players, it is only illegal when you stack three or more players on top of one another.
3. The spot must not have been reached by traversing through a field of damage spots. If you travel through an area of damage spots at any time when accessing a spot, it the round will be forfeit. Use of a spot is still legal if you take an alternate access route that does not require you to cross a field of damage spots. Pleae note: walking along the very edge of a building to avoid a field of damage spots is exploiting a mistake in the games positioning programming, and will be considered illegal.
4. You must be able to both be standing and crouching without intercepting with damage spots. If you are unable to stand due to lack of room (e.g. there is an obstacle above you, blocking you), disregard this rule.
5. The spot must not involve lagging into a (invisible) wall.
6. "Any form of purposeful exploit (e.g. texture spamming, camera forcing, etc.) use by a player or team will be punished accordingly. Whether the action qualifies as an exploit is to be decided at the discretion of event staff. If you are unsure of whether an action is legal, please clarify the legality with an admin BEFORE your match."
In regard to the mexico alley boost: This boost is legal, however it is only legal up to the roof just above bridge/ before the scaffolding. Jumping onto the box on said roof or going any further is considered illegal.
The following methods of movement are banned:

`Bruce1nR[oL]: I'm done with you Denxi. Lol, I'm not going to drop down to personal insults but I think you need to pull your head out of your ass and realise you're not the end all know all of Cross Fire. This ruleset won't last until LAN, book it.

So you ban the scarl/m12/xm8 but are possibly allowing armor? I don't get it.
Possibly because every international tournament since 2010 has used this ruleset:
m4/ak/aug/sg
p90/mp5
m60
xm1014
deagle/colt
nade/smoke/flash
kit/expand grenade
body/head armor -

Good to know! I still don't see the logic behind why armor is allowed and the scarl/xm8 are not but eh, I don't write the rules. -

What's with people and "conforming" to rulesets. If your running it. Make your own damn set. Fuck the norm. -

Because the morons coming up with these things are convinced that the weapon lists determine how "competitive" an event is. -

eh, people are dumb. If anything limiting weapons eliminates competition. The teams and prizes will determine how competitive the event is and by limiting weapons your possibly are putting off/limiting teams that would of participated otherwise. -

I knew since I initially wrote the rules that it was very unlikely they'd be used as they were. I've said this in the past, and I support the FG staff on their decision.
I'm going to assume you're joking regardless, but every time you do you just enforce the ridiculousness of vilifying an idea, rather than actually thinking about it. Even if you don't mean it, people are going to read it and see it as that. -

Fucks sake. If you're so confident in ____'s rules, then go and start your own league/lan. Stop whining on the forum and go do something.
To quote an old coach of mine: "Don't talk about it, be about it."
edit: It's good to thirst for change, but when the change is something that YOU can do, all this whining and crying on the forum is pathetic. (inb4 'lol i trol u bruce') -

Don't blame me that you were never apart of the actual competitive community. A lack luster forum mod at best, who got popular because of kill marks and gun sounds. At least BlindRob was good at the game.
The reason why I care is, because this will act as a precedent. It is stuff like this as to why we ended up in the place we are at now. If it weren't for the terrible ruleset that you came up with for WOGL, it wouldn't of got revised into the garbage that it is now before WOGL-S2. WCG USA just used the WOGL rules of the time. Hence in the future when there is a LAN with a prizepot worth going to, it might end up using the terrible CFL rules.
To quote an old coach of mine, "Winning is everything." Something I don't see eHostage ever accomplishing. It's like an even crappier version of pLumBerZ.
Also, I did start my own cups, a few times. Both of them finished successfully with prizes awarded. I then decided to help out with WOGL hoping to bring cash prizes, back. I was too idealistic with my views on the community. It's much better for me to let the person with financial backing do his thing, rather than try to start a grass roots movement.
As for going and doing something, what have you done? Nothing, besides being a terrible player. If I were you I would stop worrying about what people think/post on the forums, and focus more on improving yourself as a player. It's pretty obvious that you can't handle both at the same time. -

Easier said then done. The community is so resistant to change that if anyone created a league with a different rule set it would be unpopular, ineffective and most likely boycotted (or like in this case, people will complain non-stop until it is changed). The community is like a old man: bitter, resistant to change, and hateful. -

If you're such a hot commodity, then how come you didn't step up to do the things I did? Not the mod bit, but the writing the rules for WOGL, or at the very least, writing the rules for this LAN. Why aren't you involved with CFL? Why am/was I involved with all of this? You want expenses paid to a community organized lan with a mediocre cash prize? Dream on man. This is CF, not CS.
Everything I've done in this community I've done with the best intentions. You don't see me running around bragging about what I did for WOGL, my time as a mod, the teams I've played on, etc etc. At most I spray my Autumn Assault in game too much. The teams I've played with remember me as a competent player, trustworthy/reliable teammate, and most importantly: as a good person and a friend.
Taking shots at my in-game skill is irrelevant. I'm not a 16 year old child. This game is a hobby, and the only hobby I care about getting better at is soccer. When I stop having fun with this game, I'll quit (again).
Taking shots at my team is uncalled for. Manner play at all times. -
People will complain non-stop about everything. You can either pick a side and try to make a difference, or you can sit on the forum on alt accounts and talk ****.
If that alt comment was aimed at me, that is untrue. This is my main and I don't talk ****; merely give my opinion.
In this situation, taking a side will not accomplish much. Change has to be made at the bottom. One person cannot change things. If every league from now on used a different rule-set, things would change. It is a matter of getting a group of influential individuals to run a series of events under the same rule-set to ease people into change. Anytime change is made rapidly there is a knee jerk reaction. -
The alt account wasn't aimed at you. It was cynical comment to the community as a whole.
CHANGE is great, and I'll say here what I've been saying since this whole LAN/Denxi rules thing started:
WE CAN CHANGE THE RULES BUT THIS LAN EVENT IS NOT THE TIME TO GO AND ROCK THE BOAT. -

I agree but at the same time, it is something we should review as a community. Change often can be for the better and as a whole, we should not dismiss ideas because they are different. Allowing additional gp weapons might draw in new players and interest. I just don't think ideas should be dismissed because they don't fit into the current norm, like they have been. If every new idea was dismissed, there would never be any progress in any areas of existence.
After the LAN, there should be a logical and community driven debate on the topic. -

You say dream on, yet the WCG Qualifiers were paid for if you won first in either of the online qualifiers. Someone was going to pay for my plane ticket as well as a few others for the toronto lan, but unfortunately he didn't follow through. It isn't difficult when you are a decent team to find people to put up cash or other incentives for sponsorship.
Just because you do something with the best intentions doesn't mean that poor performance is acceptable. I decided to play csgo, because I felt bad that faceDOWN got ****ed over by ex-teammates of mine. I realized I am not nearly as good at csgo as I was at css, so I quit playing. My lack of interest in the game and lack of a desire to improve told me I should quit. Even though I decided to play with them with the best of intentions, performance drives everything.
If we warp back time to post VSGL 2009, it wouldn't of been very hard for me to do for CF what snatch did for AVA. Unfortunately for CF it just isn't something that interested me at the time. -
After the LAN, there should be a logical and community driven debate on the topic. A actual debate not just people spamming like the usual.
My logic now that we have WCG is to comply with WCG. International play is the main objective now. That is the standard and that is what all teams should be aspiring for. If z8 would get on board with the ********** league pass idea so we could pay $8-15 to play in a league that is:
1. supported/advertised by z8 and run by competent individuals
2. Anti-cheat
3. Included 60 days of armor (or however long the season is)
