Another piece of advice is to not rush things. Do not force your clan to grow, just pick up players here and there. My clan mates always wanted to rush things, be apart of everything. Like the tournaments. They wanted to be in the Spring tourney and the Underground league. We barely had a stable S5 and I wanted to wait until we improved and gotten more players yet they wanted to just go on. We ended up having to Smurf players and we would have given ourselves a bad image. Don't give in to your clan mates all the time, they are not always right nor do they have the last word. Take control.
Oh and don't change your personality for your clan mates. Senseless loved to joke around and troll so I adapted towards that personality. Don't change too much, don't take disrespect from your clan mates. You can see how much people changed. I used Bawbs as an example, 1 year ago he was a mini-mod and now all I see is a troll. -
You know what, forget about what I said. Forget about the merge, for now. Richie, I'm going to observe what happens for the next few weeks, and be better informed before I judge or not judge.
I'm sorry for bring back the drama. Frozen, I don't think you would care but I forgive you. Having said that, I probably wouldn't returnto your clan because of what I said about your style. I don't know what Dubbs would think if he saw this.
My iPhone is at 5% so I'm going for now. -

Bawbs isn't a troll, I don't know where you're seeing this. -
The guys the left were just friends. But by long time friends i meant the guys that built my last clan up with to 154. Then died cause of the huge amount of people leaving.
I've experienced that just countless times now.FrozenSyther wrote: »That is not true all the time, I let the worst side of my pop out, and I guess the people I disliked took that as an advantage to show how horrible of a leader I was. Then my friends left because they thought I was completely different though I was having an extremely hard time I could not explain with words.
A lot of people don't want to get involved with drama so they leave and stay like that, not because they are bad friends. Sadly most of my best of friends did not see how I truly felt (though I refused to tell them..) and they left as well.
Richie, either have a talk with the people you hate and try to resolve it, or kick them.
Well your personal experiences may not interfere with muc sh situations, just like my experiences probably won't. It all come down to one decision and is depended on the rightful snd justified one. We all hope for the best, don't we? In the end, we're still the best. Regardless of what we've gone through in the past and whatsoever issues. Believing is important. Without faith and hope swirling inside ya, life for you might not be as delighting or enjoyable than others. Friends have never been friends in my opinion. They're acquaintances. I've not made much throughout all my years in this game, as well as in real life. I can't say I'm unpopular in school, because I'm actuly well-known throughout the school and the district. I never considered some of the people I hangout with being my bffls or actual friends though. It comes down to trust, you know? You never know what can happen overnight, or... in the next three months yo. Friendships collapse easily at most times. However re-establishing them are much more difficult.
Drama is one thing that bothers me A LOT. I've seen clans and teams disband because of tension and arguments between players. Sure, we can't live without such voices around us. But sometimes yes, it does make life much more stressful and depressing. I agree too. Running from the problem isn't the solution to the problem. You just gotta step up to the platform and prove that you're capable of accomplishing anything. Never give up, make the correct decisions and make the clock tick in the riht direction yo. -
BullishNiu wrote: »Frozen, I do hate to say it like this, but power is not what's important. It's the community. I know I sound like a utopian communist right there, but clans are not a huge society. People don't stay because of fear in a game, they stay for... Ah we'll I guess, love.
I used to think like that too. I loved my clan mates and let them do whatever they wanted. Hell I wouldn't mind if they disrespected me, as long as they had fun and enjoyed the game. (simple things like bottom frag frozy to "you blow frozen") But it doesn't work like that, not forever at least. People start crossing boundaries and crossing the line after you let them get away for it hundreds of times. Then when you make the move to stop them they act like you are a horrible leader and such. -

4% now but one last thing: don't take anybody seriously. This is a game.
IRL, punishment is incremental, but not here. -

Don't worry about it, I finally got to say what I wanted to say, even if it's too late. I get fed up with some lies and such. I dislike dubs still, he thought I was an ass because I refuse to let him CW at that time because he would constant make an excuse. Once or twice sure, but 5+ within a month and it's too far. He took it personal and left while asking a lot of other clan mates to join.
I used to say do not let personal feelings get in the way but now I see that I should have always went through with what I thought was best.
Best regards to Richie, owning a clan is harder than most people think, I wish you the best of the best. Keep your best friends close, I've already lost a few of mine. -

I have so much still to say, damn. Don't want to turn this into a boring ass lecture.
Good luck and I hope you guys go far. And don't make it a international clan for both NA/UK. It makes things more complicated and harder to run because of timezones. -
I swear. Duke let them win due the injury. But my bracket is all ready fcked since if that so gg.
Well i expected if i kicked you lina would of followed or you would of made her leave. So did the easy way and just kicked her. Also, styx is never online. But idrc cause he hasnt done sht. (Since hes never online)
Im I allowed on vent? -

Thats what i was think. I'll talk to the UK guys. Its up to them. Their all friends from another UK gm clan. They just wanted a place to chill and pub. So nothing can go wrong with them. -

The problem is that sooner or later you think they are inactive (though it's just timezones) or vice versa. In the end, it's much easier to keep it NA or UK only. -

I still mini-mod and I don't troll unless it's in my recruitment thread, but okay. I still act as an active forumer, and still contribute to the forums, maybe not in exciting, game-changing, posts, but helping out others, such as this post here. I'd like to see you find a post of me trolling in the past while, because I've gone through 5 pages of my posts now, and I still can't see any posts outside of CD&R that is even remotely "trollish".
I'd rather not ruin another recruitment thread with this boring argument of who was wrong, who was right, who made the bad choices, etc. Both of us stand by what we were thinking at the time, and any sort of arguing isn't going to put us at a similar mindset.
If anything, you're the one that continues to antagonize me and make me sound worse than I actually am. I can't think of any situation where I've made any sort of troll posts. Even my posts in the 69 recruitment thread are just poking fun at my friends. I still mini-mod, though not to the extent of people I've seen lately (totally not pointing fingers at anyone), and I put in as much work, if not more work, into Senseless.
Unless there's something that I feel I'm obligated to respond to, I'll avoid this. Good luck, Richie. Think things through before you make a decision that you may regret. -

Wichita isn't really strong at all. I'm surprised we lost to them by four points, nvm not three.
Louisiana was strong despite the fact they lost Kevin Ware. They defeated Duke by a long way of 22 total points. With OSU out, I guess I'll be hoping for Michigan state to advance to the finals and claim the trophy this year.
