You should require shadows to be disabled, and sprays to be disallowed.
Sprays enabled makes certain strategies and positions imbalanced (most famously Ceyhan, but also Port, Black Widow, and DownTown).
Shadows enabled are unfair to those who don't use them.
Note: Sprays don't bother me; I deleted all of my spray images. But, they can be abused against those who haven't deleted theirs. -

As this is my first time ever hosting a tournament, I didn't wanted to bet on any prizes but if this one goes down the road smoothly then upcoming tournaments will most likely have prizes.any prize ? or are you doing this just to help the competitive scene ?
But for now, its just for the sake of the competitive scene. -

Some of those teams who signed up they're not even serious. Played them before. Just a heads up. -

Enabling shadows can be done using CFtool made by Rory (CF moderator) It can also be turned on by editing the file here w/ Notepad: Documents/CrossFire/System.dat
It is no form of rez editing, it's just not included in the in game configuration. (Same as the unsupported resolutions, you can set your resolution to 1920x1080 via the System.dat file and Rory's CF tool)

Bringing more teams that may now be considered as "not serious" or "pub teams" is a goal we should all work towards. That is if we want more competition, and teams to play against. -
