if anyone did this already, after you change your name to the random name, should it show up on your profile or not? because i got the go from Technical to change my name to the random characters, and I did, but when i get to my profile, it's like nothing has happened. In other words, my old IGN is still there instead of the random one.

There is a delay between the database and the website, so the changes you made may not be instantly reflected in your profile page. Wait a few hours, then try refreshing the page. If you do not notice any changes after at least 24 hours, then please submit a support ticket, and we will help as much as we can.
