Not to be a ****** or anything here - but do any of you (whoever is running this) have any experience with running tournaments and/or leagues WHILE handling someone else's money?

Well we're a little short on staff but you have to start somewhere with experience.

Experience can start anywhere - but a bad experienced can easily develop. Who is exactly helping you run the tournament and who is handling the money?

Right now it's just Banks, me, and a few of his friends. Otherwise I'm handling the money. If you want, you could help us :D

I'd only help if it was confirmed - and depends who also is running it.

For me to participate, I'd have to know the person handling the money and trust them seeing how it's community ran.. just a personal trait.

Of course, everyone has a similar instinct when it comes to money. This tournament in still "in the air" as a project in the near future.

When you figure it out, let me know.
  • Just to clarify, any form of business whether it be gaming related or not, if they are just starting out, they do need initial funding which is where this community comes in, $5 per player is fair & provided whoever's running it is trusted by the community to at least some extent to run the league and control the money fairly and responsibly then it has a fair chance of working out and moving forward which could potentially benefit the community substantially.

whether you guys want to agree with it or not, competitive gaming is a two way street you can't just wait for leagues to pick you up that's like being like someone working but getting everyone else to do the work for them so they can get all the money but do no work, which would not benefit you guys at all, the more you guys show initiative the more likely it is that a league &or competitive sponsorship will take notice and possibly invest & a well run in house league/ladder would be the right move to make.

quite frankly $5 is nothing, if you want to move forward with it you should roll with it.

that being said though, I do think everyone need's a far bit more information and confirmation on what's going on how its being run & who's running it, if you provided this you may see some more potential support from the community & hopefully move forward with it. keeping in mind this community being slow to trust with all the bs that has happened in the past.

just dont screw this up, the community need's a breath of fresh air not another failure.

  • i say if z8 took care of the money thing and they collect the money themselves it would be more professional and more trusty, just my opinion though and i dont mean to say any of you guys are scammers or some sht but it just would be better because we dont really know any of u guys i personally dont, i dont know about others.
  • its 5 bucks no one will cross the border with your money sir
  • Well for those who know me, I am a business man and can be trusted with the money.

I make that kind of money in a couple hours in my job...so I have no need to scam anyone for that little amount.

My only ask is to use paypal; makes it easier to track and distribute once we have the winning teams and pay the guys running the tournament for the AC, etc.

Up to you guys but need consensus from the participating teams.

Of course, we have integrated paypal into our website since I've been using it for over 5 years and it's extremely easy to manage.
just wondering how do we give you the 5$ ?

We have hired a coder to put in Paypal and we are still thinking about putting in Credit Card and mobile payment.
