  • Before I left work, this thread had one page.. now it has 23. Oh my.

What are you majoring in btw?

Double Major in Aero and Mechanical engineering.

I'm thinking about getting a few minors as well but Idk If I will be able to handle it. I know getting a minor in Japanese will be easy (as I'm already fluent) but I would really like to minor in either some type of Business or in EE.

    Edit:
Why is it that when intelligent people begin to have conversations, no one fights? Please, someone inform me on this matter.

When intelligent people argue it goes no where, so we all realize early that its not worth it to argue. Plus when intelligent people argue, it requires sources and information to back up statements which no one has time for. Just the nature of rational and logical argument formation

so that fight's over? what will i do now with my popcorn and soda? :(
Eat/drink it all while you google everything we're talking about so you can get a basic understanding of what's going on.

Look around online, I am sure you can find a basic introduction to get your feet wet and help you determine which you would rather take. In all honesty, id recommend psychology it is much easier and less work.
I find psychology really interesting any way, I think I'd rather do something I'm interested in.

One of my friends from high school was literally in the top 1% of the NSW (7-8 million people or so) and he decided to do something similar to what you're doing. And to answer your question it's usually because it's the idiots that argue and when an actual discussion with a topic above their level of knowledge comes up they feel obsolete.
  • So, anyone else feel the pain of not being able to get into classes they want?

I actually wish we had a law school student in this community.

lol i have to take biology instead of astronomy for my science credit, it fills up so fast, i got P0'd, nothing wrong with biology but i don't want to add something that requires me to actually study for something that is irrelevant to my major

    touche sir
  • Honestly ****es me off too. I know that so many kids are going to fail the prerequisite classes which means that those classes are going to get opened up anyway. I just tell people like, If you are going to fail the class for sure, DONT TAKE THE SPOT, DAMN

Wait until the first week. People drop out like flies. I swapped a few courses during that timeframe.

PS: Still ended up with a Wed Night Course first year..6PM-9PM
    PPS: PEACE STUDIES

lol it's so funny when classes clear in the first week because people fail to pay before the deadline
  • I like how this thread emerged from utter crap to something useful and interesting. just checked the first page and then, out of curiosity, the last few. quite a progression!

yeah, it's k, just have an irregular heart beat
  • What the fck is this garbage? Biosci major? You barely have any math, chem, and physics classes.

*****, I'm in a quarter system which is so much harder and I'm double majoring in Aero and Mechanical engineering. I take more Physics and Math than you can even imagine.

    What school is this?

I'm not a huge fan of physics, but quantum was enjoyable. Much more so than macroscopic engineering.
I'm not going to argue against Slaya because I find him to be rather chill and much more social than probably 99% of this community. And the only thing that this argument will lead to is a ranking battle when it doesn't even apply (considering very different majors).

Physics is prob the one thing I love and hate. Idk how it is over there in Sydney, but over here, the Biosci kids are always complaining and sht about how hard their major is. It makes me cringe. Really, it does.

Beches don't know what engineers go through.

If anyone is a Physics major though, you are the king of the majors. No one can give you sht if you get a masters in physics.

Yes, but just a BS in physics is not more impressive than an engineering degree imo. Then there are degrees like NucE which is hard, but overall not very useful. Tbh EE/Comp Sci dual major is the most useful combination I've seen.

I suggest controls, material science, or a math minor.

I got a material science, math, and french minor. Looking back I wish I did something with controls/plc's instead of french. Also having a firm grasp on PDE makes the theory behind most stuff you will cover in your major classes easier to understand.
  • Hmmm, Well it's nice photo any way , Relax guys ‏.‏
  • As if I even have to say why I'm closing this.
