Just curious, why do so many people use 800x600? For me the HUD is too big and killmarks take up half the screen lol

I used to play with like 70 sens too.
Until I got more glide with a QcK and saw how other people playing with a single digit sens, I started lowering mine. Sure I have to swipe harder, but I've noticed an increase definitely in my frags. Even if it's just a little, still noticable. I'm not ever going to need to 360 half a swipe. Gaming mouse have on the fly dpi settings anyways 360 all you want. Most people just 180s with one full swipe from their mouse pad. I use 20. That's still considered high with 400-500dpi.
You don't have to have it awfully low to the point that your not comfortable with it, but 20 sens with 2000 dpi won't be accurate because your dot movement is just too much.
In fact, I'm so used to it now, when I forget to change mouse profiles and have my mouse at 800 dpi with 20 sens, my shots go off and my flicks are inaccurate. -

Don't force it all at once.
Go down little by little and see if you can get the hang of it. If you set it to a point where your mouse runs out of room to move, or your just going off compared to usual, go back a pinch up. Play around with ur ingame sens as well as ur dpi level. And since you use a G500, weights can be adjusted as well so you got things to try around with.
And just to tell you, Hostile are just pure pub stars they don't even care about other people I got trolled by them all the time for no reason for their ridiculously ego downs. I get kicked multiple times from them top fragging over them in a stupid pub room because they wanted another one of their clan mates in.

Well I've been playing on 800x600 today and I must say that I've actually gotten quite used to it lol. At one point I tried to switch back to 1440x900 and just failed miserably, so I immediately switched to 800x600 again. What I like is that the mouse movement feels very even (about the same amount of movement is needed for my crosshair to certain distance vertically and horizontally). The only thing is, the graphics look like shiit now lol

Crosshair is based on preference, for you to say c should be used for almost every gun is stupid. But your mice settings were pretty accurate. -

a is just terrible on about any resolution and good players will always prefer either a dot in the middle or a crosshair which is so small you can easily see the middle. -
congrats ... for those of us using dual monitors this game is still stuck in the ice age...without any dual monitor support and apparently non will ever come.... and they go so far as to mock any who dare to suggest they should or might include it in the future. ITs as progressive as the engine they insist on sticking with and with the same lvl of support... winning everyone from the win98 Im sure.....as far as the rest of the world...well... the kids still PAY...ROFLOL

No it's really not. A is pretty commonly used and so is C, I actually don't know of one good competitive player that uses B except for saucers lol. -

if crosshair a was smaller it would be viable.
but the game still doesn't have special crosshair settings after so many years, so i doubt arguing about a game that's focused on public players instead of the competitive scene even after several LAN events is of any use.
seriously though, crossfire has had the privilege of having a couple of LAN events as a free to play game and z8 hasn't done a single thing to help the competitive scene. inb4 you spastics who say the competitive scene is too immature before looking at other games with big competitive scenes.
