Octane Crate Error - Combat Axe - Octane Adjustments and compensation
Attention CF Players!
This morning a few players might have noticed that there was a slight issue with the Octane Crates. In so far as that they were awarding a very large number of Axes!
While it is exciting to win a permanent weapon, winning 6 permanent axes from 30 crates is not something that the original crate was supposed to do. The bug was found and fixed and everything should be normal with the crate.
We are adjusting the numbers of axes that players won (especially in the extreme examples) and giving back more Octane crates to those players to give them further chances to win the M4A1-Octane or another axe, only this time fairly, as the crate was intended.
What does this mean?
In all cases of players who won more than 2 axes we will be reducing the # of Combat Axe - Octanes on your account to 2. Then, depending on the amount of crates you originally purchased we will award up to 40 bonus crates to the account.
All players who won 2 Axe's with purchases of crates under 50 will be reduced to 1 and 10 bonus crates will be awarded.
Here are some examples.
Please note that no player can win more than 6 as the game will only allow you to have that many in the first place which overall reduces the excitement of trying to win the M4A1 Octane. But now we have given out bonus crates, often equal to half or more of the total crates you originally purchased, which should give you some awesome chances at even more prizes.
Further more, please note that this bug was fixed very fast and this whole process did not affect a very large group of people. If you were not affected by this, then there is no need to comment. We are talking about less than one half of 1% of the people who have played the game today.

Say you purchased 30 Octane crates and you won 4 axes. You will be reduced to 2 and compensated with 15 bonus crates.
We feel that this gives an adequate reward for players who have already purchased and won Combat Axes in the Octane Crate. And also shows our dedication to making sure that players who purchased these crates have items to use and in the quantities they would expect from a problem that should not have occurred but that we are deeply sorry for.Say you purchased 35 Octane crates and you won 5 axes. You will be reduced to 2 and awarded 25 bonus crates.

I feel like this very unfair due to those players having to keep the axe. Anybody could win 2 axes with 10 crates, easily without a problem.
I feel like the rest of us have to go and do it the hard way while those players have got the axe by just simply spinning a few crates unlike in a real situation, it might take up to 500 crates to win a perm item.
Again, I feel like this very unfair that those people had a advantage when buying those crates. It almost as if they were guaranteed to win a perm axe.
I'm just disappointed. -

Would you be more happy with everyone raging that they got blue smoke from their 100 crates, instead of at least 1 axe? -

Not everyone is going to be happy with this decision. I for one is not and that is my opinion. Nothing more nor nothing less.
The decision has already been made so for me there is nothing more to discussion about this topic.
People rage anyway... -

Actually, it sucks for people like me who buy tons of crates and don`t win anything - While looking at others winning 6 permanent weapons within 50 crates.
Now don`t come up and say "your fault if you spend that much", say thanks for keeping this game a F2P one. -

I don`t know you but you make yourself look like you`re a very sad and greedy person. -

I think this could be a reward for those users who always are at the top of the things with the Crossfire updates. I know that not everybody have the chance to be online right away after the patch, but man, that is how the life is. If there is a massive sale on a car in Australia and I cannot be there to buy it I should not be mad because i couldnt get it. Its just an example.
I think overall the uses who took advantage (me included) were those who always buy ZP and are always aware of the updates at first hand. I feel that its a fair decision, although I just won 1 Axe and a will no get any compensation, anyway im very happy with it and Im going to spin for the m4a1 Custom Octane! -
Pretty lame how they get to keep an axe or 2 from a bug / glitch and recieve more crates lol. We all know how difficult it can be to win a perm weapon from the BM.
Then again, nothing surprises me about this game after the ghost with guns glitch > no ban > account being flagged. Laughable. -

Well I have to say that it sucks also because you buy lots of crates always. But well, there is no guarantee that you will always have the perm items just by buying lots of crates right? I think if you have the chance to buy more and really want to win both perm guns well, YOU CAN DO IT!
So, good luck getting the M4A1 Custom, Im also going to spin more crates for it! -

Of course you`re never supposed to win anything, but as I said - It`s lame seeing that players can keep 2 of their weapons and even get some extra crates, while others spend lots of ZP (which keeps the game up) and don`t get sh*t. -

It was a fault on their end and people who won that axe while the bug was still alive should keep it. How'd you feel if you won a gun from the Black Market and were incredibly happy about it and 2 hours later it gets removed because someone else did a mistake?
This is the best they could've come up with. For those calling the people who won an axe before "bug abusers" - Some of them weren't aware of it and didn't do it on purpose at all. Of course there were people doing it on purpose after it was rewarded, but let's be honest here, if we had the chance we would have all done it.
I do get that people are disappointed that they spent tons of money on trying to get this gun and didn't win anything, while others bought 10 crates and won 2 guns. I would've probably see it in a different way if I was involved in this, but this time it was bad luck. You tried your luck at the wrong time, life's tough sometimes. You are never fully guaranteed that you will win something in Black Market - even if it might seem that way but this wasn't the case during the bug was alive. -

The least they could have done was return the EXACY amount of crates they had spun, it dosnt matter if they won or not.
What about the people who won got over 3milllion GP (probably more) from the mission rewards, i dont see why there items where removed..that was there fault to right? -

As I said, the people winning something already had that special feeling of "Oh what I won something". It's like giving candy too a child, let it eat a piece of it, and then take it away. Removing it from them entirely wouldn't be a solution imo. -
As said, the people being involved in this was lower than 1%, as the odds to win 1 million GP are pretty low I doubt there was anyone winning it, especially as the 1 Million GP weren't involved in the bug and it was just the Axe being easier to win.

I guess my english was that bad you couldnt understand
What i said was a few months ago, there was a bug with the misson rewards (where you get the "crossfire" tags.) With this bug players were allowed to redeem massive amounts of GP. (im not sure exactly how much the numbers went off the screen) These guys then brought everything in item mall/items/spun crates and eventually won some black market guns, however everything was removed from there accounts when the bug was found..They could have done the exact same thing here and return what they have actully spent (zp or crates) -

Anyways, so far as I know this was just a display bug and you wouldn't get the amount of GP that was displayed in the end. I haven't heard of people seriously getting that amount..I could be wrong here tho'
