LAN ETS - CrossFire LAN Tournament - March 2013

Why not put that $4000 into prizes instead of alleviating the cost of hotel rooms...
$4000 is just the fee we want to save. We are already willing to put more into the discounted hotel rooms, therefore nothing would change in the end.
The $4000 would still go to prizes while we pay for the discounted rooms with different funds, if that makes more sense. -
This is an idea thread to see how many teams would attend.
I've been talking with a couple of executives from LAN ETS about hosting a CrossFire LAN during/at the LAN ETS Tournament that is going to be held at the beginning of March 2013. We need as much people to reply seeing how many would attend.
Please ONLY reply saying your team can go if you CAN, not if you might, or just thought about it. Find out.
Please be aware that this LAN is open to everyone, even though it is hosted in Canada, teams/players can come from the United States to attend.
The only downside is that it is a BOYC LAN, which means 'Bring Your Own Computer' - Meaning you need to bring your tower, screen, mousepad, mice, keyboards, headsets and you MUST bring a powerbar.
LAN ETS only supplies tables, chairs, LAN Connection, Internet Connection and one plugin for a powerbar to setup your computer.
Aswell, you need to PAY to get into the LAN to compete as a BOYC Player which costs around $50.00.
In the end, LAN ETS has invited myself to attempt to possibly organize a LAN Event there and they will help prepare, run and supply prizes. We're looking into a few more contacts to sponsor cash and equipment prizes.
Cheers!
Why does a byoc lan cost twice as much as a lan with 120 hz monitors I went to in april? -

It kind of stumbled me as well.
LAN ETS wants us to pay for 'sponsorship services' for things that we don't need such as Streaming, Advertisement and some other stuff.
Not needed, especially if it's just going to be a CrossFire where we can rent out a LAN Center for a day or two and save around $3,000 depending on who is sponsoring us at the time. -
Completely irrelevant to the topic at hand; if you have nothing wise to input then leave this to PM's. LifeLine and Carnage will be there. Chase, most of the competitive Canadian teams are Toronto based after all so this would be great. Please contact me on xfire as I have a sponsor who is interested in contributing greatly to this potential Toronto LAN.
