make Kick vote system only for honorable veteran soldiers
i think Z8 should only allow the host of the room and honorable veteran players vote to kick (the ones that have honorable badge and a certain rank.) allowing low ranks with little experience and players who have been banned to vote kick is unfair to high ranks with a lot of experience and still have their badge.
Vote kicking should be a privilege that meet certain requirements. Why should a smiley face be allowed to kick a 2nd LT? If it is really that bad and you genuinely think the LT is hacking, LEAVE THE ROOM. No reason to vote out someone who is more than likely legit. and if there is a high enough ranked player in the game (more than likely there will be) i don't see why they wouldn't be able to make that assumption as well and then cast the vote for those who are unable to..
but even more importantly the players should need to still have their Honorable solider badge. Letting once banned players vote is ridiculous. and if you get a ban, then i believe you should be reduced to the status of a noob and not be allowed to vote higher rank players out. I also assume that having a privilege important as kick voting taken away from you for hacking will make those who hack think twice about what they are doing, other than just being shortly suspended from the game.
when they come back from the ban they should still have to face consequences. Forcing those players to deal with what they think are hackers and those who actually hack and not be able to do anything about it seems fair to the damage they once caused to the rest of the community.
If z8 really wants to crack down on hacking then i believe they need to implement more than just a badge being removed and being shortly suspended. such like i said, removing voting privilege. but how about the BM? I believe the BM should be a privilege to those who are worthy as well.
Hacking, in return can give much larger amounts of GP, making it easier to win a GP BM crate (therefore they will still be allowed to buy ZP crates). If not being allowed to get the rare cool guns after getting caught hacking doesn't make them think twice then idk what will.
^ that is the most fair way I can come up with to further stop the abuse of the kick system for those who are legitimate veterans, considering 98% of the time its abused by a noob or previous hacker

Yes then the no-honorable's who don't hack can't kick smileys who havent been banned and are aimbotting. Makes sense. No holes in that plan..
Sick of these "honorable soldier only" things. Is keeping the Honorable Soldier Ribbon not good enough for you? If you want legit games go play with friends.
Basically, your opinions don't represent (or likey matter to) a majority of the CF population.
edit:And its like saying someone who broke the law and was caught has no chance to be as successful (or whatever) as someone who has never been caught breaking the law. Thinking like that is just too irrational and isn't something likely to be used by a company that has a lot of people to please. -
Rather have it so you can only start kick vote on players below your rank.
99% of hackers are less then SFC with the rare high rank here and there hacking.
By making it so the low ranks that been playing for a week-month can't kick the players that been playing for years would reduce the kick abuse severely. True that hackers higher rank then you can't be kicked by you, but I believe legit high ranks not being kicked for simply being good nearly everygame would be worth the 1-2 high rank hackers a week they would encounter. This would encourage farming tho for high ranks tho. -
Best idea ever.
Prevent the cheaters and the noobs from kicking you and most of the problems are solved.
You should not be able to kick a 1st LT that has never been banned and had the honourable ribbon - period.
And it's been established that there is no honorable way to lose the ribbon, either you fraud, cheat or are abusive.
If it's just a payment issue that gets resolved then you get the ribbon back, as stated by GM HPX (I can provide the link if required).
If you messed up your account through your own actions then re-make it and behave yourself;)
Also as a anti-hacking measure they could remove all the players guns when found to be cheating and only give them the starter guns. -
No, just now.
VATAV made a good suggestion.
I like the people who got their ribbon all of a sudden when making a new account, but people who were here way before the ribbon system has been introduced had no chance to think "hey, I'm getting rewarded for no hacking and doing bad things LOL" .
These people had no idea that this will come. -
Better solution!
Make it so those with Honor ribbon and Veteran can not be kicked by those that don't have both! Those that don't have Honor ribbon or Veteran ribbon can't kick someone that has both of them. The requirements for those is never been banned and played for a year, so they won't be kicked by the average noob that makes a new account (Because they "lost" their old one for some reason) that hack accuses everyone that beats them and kick those that are doing better then them. -

I thought at first "No...", but with the 1 year requirement it's "Perfect..."
Here, this is for you. -
And after thinking about this - it would not only help players that get kicked alot but it would help reshape the community I'm sure.
They would have to accept the fact that the player is better and doesn't hack, simply because crying wouldn't help and everyone would know they are legit and "unkickable" even if they cry babies started. People don't want to look dumb.
Thus making QQ far less likely over time and in fact might even start going in the opposite direction to the point where others say "no he's just good". -

I play this game for 3 years now! Last year, a virus had infected my PC and the CF files.
The autoban system blocked my account for investigation. They found nothing of course but I lost my HS ribbon because of that, permanent!
I can't complain about this, that's the way things work and because of that I found out that my PC was infected without big damage.
But, if this this happen, I think it would be unfair for people like me, who have lost the ribbon for just an investigation.
Besides, the kick voting is good as it is, its problem is that some people using it wrong.
If the hacking problem had been solved or at least reduced to a very minimum level, people wouldn't kick that much the others.
Kicking and reporting is the only protection we have againgst hackers at this point, I cannot accept reducing their power, even if that means that sometimes we will be kicked unfair. I'm sorry but I disagree.

Yea but there's not much to disagree with in VATAVs idea, that being noone can kick a honourable soldier that has the vet ribbon (hack free and at least for a year).
There's just no reason too, so it should be prevented. -

Some people? Try most. Also I get kicked more often when hacking is rarer. Reason being that the hackers can't hack so they lash out on players they believe are. The players they believe are hacking are really just experienced legit players that are usually high rank and been playing for years. Hackers hack because they suck at the game, and they are also so egotistical that they believe no one can be better then them with out hacking.
Take note when X-trap patches, right after a patch do you notice all those very low rank accounts? Most of them were banned for hacking by X-traps patch and are angry over being banned for hacking. So they kick abuse any player they believe is hacking because they can't hack themselves.
My suggestion is to prevent these spiteful players from being able to cause harm to players that have shown to be rule abiding and long term loyal players. Its not right that former cheaters can grief long term rule following players. -
I see a small flaw in this idea, I know a lot of high ranks that glitch, and in effect cheat by killing or winning objective by being in glitch. Glitching is hardly looked at or reported as much as hacks.
So in this scenario, a high ranking glitcher is in box or wherever and is killing people and can't be kicked because he has honorable and is veteren soldier?
A lot of new players don't even know there being glitch killed -
Totally agree on the ribbon requirements. Although, there are a few flaws that have yet to be found.
Firstly, I have seen a couple of high ranked players who, when I checked, still have 1 or both veteran ribbons and the honorable soldier ribbon. Not being able to kick them would be a pain, allowing them to hack freely and not be able to be kicked, this this is unlikely.
Also, some people who use them use them cautiously, testing them on new, so called "noob" accounts before using it on their main accounts, meaning they usually wont get autobanned. Either way, I would love it if this idea was implemented, but could be flaws like the corrupted community using the kick vote system today.
Either way, +1 for the good idea, but could be improved if it would be potentially added into the game. -

Every system has its flaws, the thing to focus on is "Are the benefits worth or out weigh the flaws?" With those high rank hackers you should save the replay and report them, that the only way smart hackers are going to get banned. High rank hackers are extremely rare compared to the hordes of low rank hackers and kick abusers, I've only seen about a dozen in the past 3 months with blatant obvious hacks. Most high ranks I see getting hack accused and kicked aren't showing any sign of hacking. -
