40's "How to start a team" Guide.
Before I start, I know I took this guide from another forum, but logically I was the one who made it there in the 1st place, I would like to post it here as well.
Good day ladies and gentlemen, today I'll be proud to educate you about this subject "How to start a team".
First of all, here is the meaning of the word "Team" : small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals, and approach for which they are mutually accountable.
Q : 40, How do I start my own team?
A : well, first of all you need to achieve these goals (points) in order to create your own team :-
History :-
This is the most important part; get your solid 7 - 9 players together! Its best to know the players beforehand rather than just picking up 7 players from the forums, game....etc. in order to accept a player in your team, you need to try him/her out, you need to know how they play, does he/she plays passive? aggressive? does he/she listens to strats? you also need to try him/her out in a 1v1 so you can determine how they play, sometimes you might lose, but that doesn't mean he/she hacks or better than you, in my opinion, 1v1 only shows the skills/aim of the player, if you want to get more clue about the player, then try him out in a scrim/clan war so you can witness if they do/don't listen to strats, you can also determine their performance, if they play passive/aggressive.
Strong friendship :-
Get to know the players in your team, make friendships with them, that's a good point that will lead to a decent common sense within your team. the more you communicate with your teammates, they will respect you more and admire you.
Q : 40, we're not skilled enough, what should we do?
A : i suggest you start to do this with your team
Skills :-
Play some inter-clan mini-games. I'm talking about games such as 1 click headshots only on Black Widow; or 5 vs 5 CLAN SERVER scrims. Just mess around with these, have a laugh and try at the same time. keep doing such things and I'm pretty sure your game sense and aiming skills will be better (upgraded).
Training sessions :-
Start on Blackwidow or whatever your map is, and give each person a spot to always have; don't move people around constantly. Allow some time for people to find their best spot, as this is a good advantage. Secondly, set up partners inside your main s5. usually teamed up at B site. This involves the two players breaking up from the rest of the teams vent room, and practicing their own strats for defending the particular site, that way they both know what each player is doing.
Q : 40, I think my team isn't serious enough, why is this happening?
A : Cause you need to be more strict. and i suggest these functions in order to be more serious.
Seriousness :-
Have a full month acting as if every game you play is the ESL finals. 110% or more seriousness, and move on from there to competing in leagues/Pugs/scrims.
Secret Meetings :-
In this step, you need to gather your friends (team) to a secret room in your ventrilo/teamspeak3 server. and start discussing about the team, talk about the positive and the negative things in your point of view, let your team knows what you think about the team so far. also i recommend you to listen to your team members in order to know how they think about you and the team.
Q : 40, why did you made such thread in the 1st place?
A : Cause teams need to start building history and start to stay together more then 2 weeks and stop breaking up and making new clans every week. Stop leaving and quitting on your teammates when it gets hard, you have to work on it and work on it not just leave and join a team with a stronger roster and hope it just works out magically the first day. Help the game grow please and stay together.
Q : 40, do you got anything else to say?
A : Yes indeed, and here's some of the quotes that I keep relying on, "If you want a great TEAM, Be a Great TEAMMATE." also "Teamwork is less EGO and more We Go".
Remember, the meaning of Team is :-
T : Together
E: Everyone
A: Achieves
M : More
Have a nice day.

Agreed. But a very helpful thread for basic creations of teams. Great job!
Thank you kindly sir.
I've been around this game for 3/4 years now, many teams has their ups and downs. come to think about it, many people leave their teammates when it gets hard or when a small misunderstanding (problem) blow up from nowhere. -
' wrote:40;3191607']I have a small question for you lads, I'm thinking about making a guide about a specific rifle(I won't name it here cause I don't anyone to take this idea) so what do you lads think? do you think I should do another guide ?
This might be a late response but a I think that would help out a lot of people.
Great guide by the way. -
This can also be named as 'How to start a good clan'
Well made and good points
also if you didnt add
- accept your weakness, and work on it.
for example: you are bad in closecombat with sniper. > practice more.' wrote:40;3191607']I have a small question for you lads, I'm thinking about making a guide about a specific rifle(I won't name it here cause I don't anyone to take this idea) so what do you lads think? do you think I should do another guide ?
there are way too many rifle guides..
make about pistols or something not so common -

Thanks for the feedback mate. This can also be named as 'How to start a good clan'

Name isn't that important, it's all about the object don't you think? and yeah, I might didn't work well on my guide, should added more subjects probably, but tbh, I'm not that much of a sniper, i hate sniping thou
Plus, I think the guide is complete, won't add any other subjects, unless you want to discuss it here(posting) then i agree.there are way too many rifle guides..
make about pistols or something not so common
how about SG552 ?Sticky this!
IKRThe hardest part is finding 7-9 loyal players. Once you find them, the rest is a breeze.
I highly agree to your statement sir.
Nowadays you can't find loyal nor good players, but think about it, you can make something from nothing, I mean .. who knew LifeLine, R.O.C .....etc, all these teams has achieved their goals cause they stayed together, trained, endure hard problems and such.
point is, even if you picked middle skilled players and start practicing, participating together, you would see some results for sure. -
Nice Guide
Thanks ^.^'Danny wrote:[;3261949']You've got to be kidding me.
This thread didn't help in any way, (though it was a good way to past time).
Thanks for the feedback, any other topics you would like to discuss? Maybe I can add more things to the guide if you got any useful ideas. -
I made a clan and don't recruit strangers nor ask friends to join (besides a few)
I never understood the whole "I want to have a big clan" thing. You guys act like girls wanting to have a "popular" clan than a good one.
I would rather be by myself in a clan and accept only who I really know. I wouldn't want some hacker or cheap player who slashes kris in GM/KO or sprays M12S. I see some once great clans (like I used to play with FoE) turn into crap because they wanted to be a 100 member clan. -
