I always get CrossfirePT_laucher has stopped working
Everytime I open Cross Fire it says CrossfirePT_laucher has stopped working. Anyone know how to fix this? I don't have any virus protection. So please help? I really want to play. When I logged in my sound was lagging and it logged me out and everything. I restarted and still said the same thing.

Help! ): -
Temporarily disable AVG Protection for 5 minutes and start CF and it will run fine.
It dosen't work , yesterday work just fine but today it's all over again, i have the "CShell.dll" file on the excepccionnes side of the AVG and it's the same thing, "File changed"........ -
learn how to add the game into your antivirus exceptions.
First of all, you should disable your antivirus , so that everything goes well
"turn off any anti-virus program that is running in the background
Right-click at "RAR" and extract here
Folder Cross Fire- copy and paste files into your game folder and replace it.
PD: To solve this problem make sure to add the entire Cross Fire directory to your exceptions folder. Including the HGW File Watcher AND Xtrap directories and programs.

You'll likely have to reinstall the game in this case. Be sure to keep your firewall and/or AVG disabled or include exceptions while downloading and installing.
so i have to delete CF and download it again? is there another way! -
For those with the error message that the CShell.dll file is changed, this is what happened to me. I don't know if this will work for everyone, but what I found out is that AVG actually put CShell.dll in the virus vault without me knowing. Try opening AVG, go to the "history" menu and click on "virus vault." If CShell.dll is in there, click "restore." This fixed my problem. Make sure you also temporarily disable AVG while you start the game. Once CF is loaded, you can re-enable AVG and I didn't have any problems afterwards.

i have the avg proplem but my antiviruse is bitdefender2012 and i have the same proplem
i did what did u type in the forum but after i open it the hgw game watchers
says (file is changed :w[2007]l[3] rez/rb001.rez) do please help -
This problem has been solved on AVG's end this past weekend.
This program conflict should not exist as of now. HOWEVER if you are experiencing anyFILE IS CHANGEDtype errors then that means that it is likely that your AV (including AVG) has changed the file and you'll need to redownload and install Cross Fire.
Make sure that the your CF Folders have been added to your anti-virus and filewall exceptions to prevent that from happening again.
Once again, CF Does not contain viruses. Any detection by an anti virus on the downloaded file from the official source z8games.com is a false positive.
Thanks again for everyone's patience and thanks to those users who have helped others get their game running through this issue!
