Weapon Lock

and Z8 does protect accounts from there side of the agreeement. What happens is that this so-called hacking is the result of the user/player/account holder giving out their account information, either voluntarily or involuntarily through keyloggers and such.
The problems are client-sided, and there's not a whole lot Z8 can do except do a PSA and hope people will keep their accounts secure.
I didn't say that z8games isn't doing anything, I say that they could do more.
I don't know if it is already done but z8games could edit the chat, so every time you write your log in name it will replaces it with "****" and the same with the password. It should also give a warning every time you tip your name or password. Something like that. People could still send it per e-mails but this will stop some of them.People would just give the code away like they do now with their information.
Why would they give out those codes? You need those codes only when you want to sell your weapons, this means a keylogger wont catch it, unless you try to sell it while the keylogger is on your computer, but then the password would be useless because the weapon is already sold. -

Why do people give out their ID for ZP? Because people ask.
Why do people give out their passwords for ZP? Because people ask.
Why do people give out their security answer for ZP? Because people ask.
People can gift ZP with just your IGN, so why do they give it out??
Maybe the person says I need it to add the ZP (makes sense right?)
Well people would just tell those same idiots I want to give you M4 Tiger I need your information and digits for your guns. -

Well if they need to put ZP on your account, why the hell would they need your code for a gun. You lock the guns, hacker comes in, useless account. And when they ask for your gun lock codes, that's when you figure out that a hackers trying to steal your account and guns. -

No, the person being scammed wont figure it out because they were already stupid enough to hand out their other info, as stated by Chimpz. -

^.
If people are stupid enough to give security answers, usernames, and passwords to complete strangers, I doubt this would make it any harder for scammers to take your account. -1. -

It makes sense if a hacker says "I need your password, Security answer, email, and user ID to buy the ZP for you on your account." But to ask for your Gun Codes just doesn't make sense, and to buy ZP. -

"I have a glitch that can give you all the weapons but I need your gun code to give it to you, give me pl0x. I can also give you free ZP, so I need your user, password, security answer, and your email."
Just one example of what a scammer would say. It really wouldn't be that hard to get the code, and TBH, why is this even needed? Hackers/scammers never hack an account for the sole purpose of selling their guns. They do it for their guns, and for another alternate account they can hack on. This does absolutely nothing but cause more havoc for support in the possibility that someone forgets their gun code. -

Yes but maybe the person doesn't knows that you can send ZP with just the IGN. That's probably the reason why they give out the ID and pass. I have some guys in my clan that give me their ID and password and tell me to add ZP, the same people would give out their ID to other players too.Well people would just tell those same idiots I want to give you M4 Tiger I need your information and digits for your guns.
This is a complete different thing, most of the people who steal accounts do it so they can steal it or use it themselves. They don't steal accounts to sell weapons. They sell the weapons when they can't make anything else with the account.
Also how would he ask for it? "Hey man can you please give me the the number to sell your weapons? I need it to uhhh.... give you free zp." I don't think anyone would fall for that.
But even if they give it out, this password will still save us from keyloggers.
I really don't understand why you guys are so much against this idea. IT doesn't hurts anyone. -
Wouldn't really matter if you don't share the information with the others ?
Yes but it doesn't hurts anyone. Why are you all against this idea? It is just another option to protect us. Even if you don't need it, it doesn't harms you.
By the way, you can get your account hacked by ******s too and not everybody knows that you don't share your account data. -

When players ask me if I want free ZP I say "yeah" and when they say "ID/Pass" I'm like "what for? gift my zp to my IGN noob":DBadMonkey666 wrote: »Yes but maybe the person doesn't knows that you can send ZP with just the IGN. And they won't know you can't get a M4 Tiger from giving away their information and security digits.BadMonkey666 wrote: »This is a complete different thing, most of the people who steal accounts do it so they can steal it or use it themselves. And it would render scamming useless, so is this the be all and end all? No. Scammers will simply scam the security digits.BadMonkey666 wrote: »And having locks on guns would render it useless, as they would have an account with no guns. They would have to get the digits and they would get them.

To get keylogged for CF you would have to be downloading hacks, free ZP gens or something dodgy.
Real "hackers" who keylog are looking for real information i.e Paypal, Bank and credit card information not CF information, to them CF info is about as valuable as a Myspace account (useless).
What usually happens is that someone enters their user details into a hack or zp gen (cos it makes sense? to give away your info to have ZP added?) then those details get sent to the hacker who then takes the account.BadMonkey666 wrote: »I really don't understand why you guys are so much against this idea. #1 It wouldn't work and #2 People shouldn't give their info away in the first place.
Numerous people have literally given me their information in game to do badges for them, ZM, GM or to just play on their account and help them and I didn't even want the information.
That^ is stupid, I mean I could steal all those accounts I bet most have the same CF password as their other things i.e email etc and I do have the email addresses for some as I sent them replays etc.
And even though I am nice enough not to do it, the fact is that I probably could and I would never give my information to anyone not even those people that gave me theirs (well esp not them as they gave out theirs:p).BadMonkey666 wrote: »By the way, you can get your account hacked by ******s too and not everybody knows that you don't share your account data.
I doubt it.
I never give me information away and play on a PC with zero protection that doesn't even have windows updates turned on:p (I only use this PC for gaming though).
I've been safe for years. -
But the account scammers first point is not to to sell that guys weapons.
He might use the account to hack other accounts or to farm. And if the account is good he will sell it.
People don't hack into accounts so they can sell their weapons. They do it because they see that the account is worthless and they are ****ed.
