Weapon Lock
Function: Allows players to lock a weapon with a password so that it cannot be sold or used in game unless the 4-digit passcode is entered correctly. After 5 times of failing at this, the weapon will be locked until a Support Ticket is sent.
This allows hackers to not sell your guns if you somehow get hacked.
-Could be in effect when the account is logged in on a different IP in case that a hacker might be on your account.
UPDATED! (Updates will be added as more are suggested)
New update to this suggestion:
-Every new starting player will be allowed to try this lock for a certain amount of time or they can have 2 for temporary time and 1 for permanent for use on only 1 weapon.
*Spot is reserved for extra updates and details
Current QUESTION: Should this feature be allowed for ZP or GP?

Well yes it is the users fault when he gives away his password but this doesn't means that we shouldn't protect the users.
I know , people should have the space to make mistakes , we must make mistakes in order to learn from them -
Wouldnt really need that if people didnt give out their information
People can still get your information threw virus's from downloading anything. Not everyone uses a virus scanner and you never know, i never gave out my info and my account has been stolen, i don't know who from but it made me mad.
OT: +1 nice suggestion. -

Lol, a real hacker would want to hack a useless crossfire account instead of your bank account?
rhetorical question for the slow people -

It's illegal to hack bank accounts. It's NOT illegal to hack Cross Fire. They can be easy to hack and can fetch a large sum depending on the account. -

What part of don't share accounts do people not understand?
So you think Z8 should add programing to protect people who want to give out their account info?
Here's an idea. Don't hand out your info. There's no such thing as free ZP. People who offer to" play your account for you" are looking to steal it.
Play your own account and presto, like magic no need for a gun lock.
Wow, I just saved thousands of dollars in programing. Maybe I should get some free zp. LOL -
Seems good, but like suiles said, ZP guns cannot be sold, only GP guns and for certain people, it's easy to re-gain GP guns again.
Seems good for new players who hand their information so easily or it might not even be the player, it can be a keylogger. Like one of my friends got his account hacked by a keylogger and he never handed his information to a friend or a family member.
At the end, it seems like a good idea. +1 -
'Pain wrote:[;3015715']1. There is ABSOLUTELY NO way someone can excess your acc unless you give someone your info.
2. If were to activate strictly on IP change, then it really only add more work for yourself.
Virus that waches everything you are doing at your computer and shows everything to him who bring the virus to you can reveal your password and your email if you used it the time he wathes , but you cant know when he wathes you , a good antivirus program is the solution , but i didnt had it and mine acc was stolen , but the as*h*le didnt knew the security ancer or the transactions id so I got it back.
Results:
1) Mine USP was sold and many othes but I only care about mine USP since I cant get it back
2) I had 120 blue hypomeds and there all gone , 12 purple too and 5 revive tokens (events)
3) 25 coupons wasted on a 30 day grenade
4) Near 20000 GP that I had plus the guns he sold sould be near 50000 GP wasted on GP crates and won nothing.
+1 to the idea and a way to get USP again -

Some of the players here are like 12 years old, they don't know how the internet works.brutalambush wrote: »So you think Z8 should add programing to protect people who want to give out their account info?
Uhh yes... Why shouldn't they? It's their job to protect their customers. Why do you think Steam codes a lot to protect their users from account hacking?brutalambush wrote: »Here's an idea. People got their account stolen like 10 years ago and they still get their accounts stolen and it will never stop. Even in 10 years people will manage to get their accounts hacked. There are several reason for that.
And you didn't saved them thousands of dollars in programming, do you really thing it costs that much to add a password lock? There are many coders that could do that for free. Also the z8games team wouldn't add it anyway.MilkMunzta wrote: »There's programs out there that can hack your account when you download them and they can be hidden or coded in a way that you don't know and you might think that it's a harmless file.
Well yes that's true but the risk to get a virus like that is really low.
You might get a virus like that when you try to download hacks or you download from a not trusted site. Some people download the flash player not from adobes page but from other places and they could include a virus.
I am playing since years, I started with Steam and till now no one managed to hack any of my accounts. -

I'm going to admit I'm not much of a computer guy, and I've seen this "keylogger" around many times now but I do not know what it is.
So I'm going to ask, why download key logger? And what is it used for? -
Its pointless in my view. People should not give away their info anyway so they should not need this function.
Also it would just clog up the support staff ever more than they already are. So I say no.'Pain wrote:[;3016002']I'm going to admit I'm not much of a computer guy, and I've seen this "keylogger" around many times now but I do not know what it is.

key loggers either take record of every key you press (so they get your passwords for everything and see all your personal convos etc) the files are then forwarded to a hackers email usually. Another type of keylogger would also take print screens every couple of seconds or so, so they can even look at what you are doing too. Some are difficult to spot too. Basically dont download anything suspicious and you will be fine. -

ಠ_ಠ
Dude you don't download a keylogger...
A keylogger is a virus, people try to send it to your computer. You don't download it.
This is how a keylogger works.
It saves everything you write kinda like this:
Hi / I'm good and you? / Yea school was funny today / I don't know maybe / okay see you later / iw4134@googlemail.com / hallo412 / second world war / Adolph / Hi / I'm glad that you are back / yea I know / I will come out later, I will play some crossfire first / Yea see you later / Noobowner13 / f1ghter13
and then he sends this information's to the guy who created the keylogger.
You can easily see what he did. First he chatted with a friend, then he checked his e-mails and then he googled something, maybe for school. After that he chatted with a friend again and then played crossfire.
And now the hacker has his e-mail and his crossfire account.
And that's how you steal a password with a keylogger.
The person doesn't downloads the keylogger on purpose, the hacker tries to hide it on your computer. -
Yeah, I'm sure I'm one of the many people who has gotten desperate and Googled "Free ZP hacks" or something similar to that. (Which is impossible and illegal). And "Ultimate Game Card Code Generator" etc. Those many sites can include downloads with Key Loggers, viruses, Trojans, etc.

BadMonkey666 wrote: »Uhh yes... Why shouldn't they? It's their job to protect their customers. Why do you think Steam codes a lot to protect their users from account hacking?
and Z8 does protect accounts from there side of the agreeement. What happens is that this so-called hacking is the result of the user/player/account holder giving out their account information, either voluntarily or involuntarily through keyloggers and such.
The problems are client-sided, and there's not a whole lot Z8 can do except do a PSA and hope people will keep their accounts secure. -
Its pointless to add extra passwords to this game just for guns. Like 9 pointed out, people get hacked either because they aren't keeping their password secure, or download stuff they shouldn't and become victims of keylogging. In both cases extra passwords aren't going to help.
