No need to change yourself for the sake of being a moderator, if it suppresses how you really act, you need to ask yourself is it really worth it? Probably not.
OT: Good luck to all who are applying, we need more people who are willing to dedicate their own time for the sake of this community. -

This is somewhat incorrect, but also true in a way.
They shouldn't HAVE to act differently. If they were elected, it's because of their actions and behavior up to that point in following the rules and setting a good example. It's an expectation of the senior staff (GM's) that you can act accordingly as you have been doing up to this point, but now as a Moderator. That's why that specific Moderator was selected. Now I'm not saying choices are ALWAYS correct, as some people can change.
On the other hand, we do have to show a certain amount of composure in the face of an argument, insults, and flat out immaturity on the user's end. In that aspect, we have to act a little differently. We can't just argue back in the same manner or act as such. -

Translation: don't be disappointed if people become less cool after they become MODs, a.k.a. slavetools of the system -

It was necessary obviously to keep a professional point as a Moderator. Obviously ive lost my temper once or twice
You cant say "You wont change when you get Mod". You will unless all you ever did was have a stick up your ass and boss people around without the Mod authority or post like you were one. -

I will gladly admit that there have been times I wish I could say certain things to some people and put them in their place. That's not a bad thing, that's simply the composure aspect I was talking about. As Moderators in the public eye, we can't set that bad example for others and then expect you to follow the rules. It's hypocritical.
It's not becoming a "slavetool of the system" as you put it. It's the nature of the position in an online community. There are certain things that you have to put away from when you were not a Moderator. You are now in the public eye and expected to set an example.
Also, over time handling an online community can take a toll on someone who is not prepared for the constant "negativity" that is inherent with an online forum. Some people simply become angry and bitter and just need to take a step back and compose themselves. It's human nature. Moderators are human too GASP -

You have your terminology and I have mine -

Slanderous, I say!
I support whichever of the candidates doesn't take themselves so seriously that they will become bitter and/or angry anytime someone disagrees with or criticizes them, that have the ability to express themselves clearly and accurately (yes that includes spelling ability to a certain extent), that can properly represent z8 and it's stance on things, and that can commit themselves to the tedious task of weeding out "good" posts/threads from "bad" ones.
I'm sure I've missed some things that I would consider good qualities in a mod. -

^So yes I was right.[MOD]Polleus wrote: »Also, over time handling an online community can take a toll on someone who is not prepared for the constant "negativity" that is inherent with an online forum. ^ If anybody knows what negativity online is around here, it's me. -

as someone pointed out earlier he started this same thing when the mod applications were open around new years. and then he went inactive.
Yes i was in active cause i left to shoot a Movie & i lost my computer. Since i got my computer back i been active, & happy that im super active.
But thanks waffle. It's an honor on meeting youCheers, I'm not British, but that seems to be the most suitable term.
Dyno, before you continue, I think you should examine the Moderator's posts, for example, look at [MOD]9's post, his grammar is near perfection, his spelling is right on, and he doesn't use smile every second line. Communication will most likely be a key unit while being a Moderator, so it would probably be best for you to practice it from now on. Just a friendly suggestion.
*bows* This quote is... is beautiful.
you just over did on your term of expression towards my way of talking. Look i get interview many many time by TMZ & other company. I know i have my perfection & i know is not the best. Also i don't have to change my ways & to write like 9 or any other MOD.
But anyways this like my last post & i will reply based on a support. & hope to see anyone in game.
Have a awesome day community -

I understand, but like I said before, communication will be an essential part of being a Moderator, so it's best to perfect that skill before anything. Maybe your fingers are just too fast, tape a couple of them down. -
Indeed correct. & i found out the problem that is showing that my words are off track. I type fast & most time, example: instead of my saying "beautiful" at my fast rate of typing it would come out as "betiful or beatiful". Most time my computer won't read when i spell out the word or & i'm just not typing it fully so the computer can process the word.

I'd just like to add another person to the list that I am supporting. The addition is Simrock, he seems to do very well with everyone, and is ontop of questions like a dog!

I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't like Simrock. xD -
I support this guy:

Seeing applications like this makes me feel like I went very overboard. Oh well, I suppose I just like to explain myself into further detail.
My application -
